Please take a little time to read this booklet before getting started and keep it in a safe
place for future reference.
This Digital Slow and Multi Cooker is fantastic for four to five people, with a glass lid
for easy viewing, touchscreen control panel, and cooking functions for steaming, frying,
yoghurt and sous vide. The other added features are the delay start for up to 24 hours,
and the keep warm function for up to 12 hours.

SAFETY CAUTIONS
Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a safe place
for future reference. Always follow these safety cautions when using the appliance to
avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should be used only as
described in this instruction book.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older
than 8 and supervised.
• Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the appliance.
• Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from
the appliance before the first use.
• Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if
damaged or has been dropped. In the event of damage, or if the appliance develops a
fault, contact the Lakeland customer care team on 015394 88100.
• Do not use this appliance if the lead is damaged. Contact Lakeland customer care team
on 015394 88100.
• Always use the appliance on a dry, level, heat resistant surface.
• Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn the socket to ‘off‘ and remove the plug from
the mains socket.
• Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those
recommended by Lakeland.
• To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug or
outer unit in water or other liquids.
• Do not leave the lead hanging over the edge of a kitchen table or worktop. Avoid
contact between the lead and hot surfaces.
• For indoor use only.
• For domestic use only.
• This appliance should be used for preparation of food as described within the
instructions for use that accompany it.
• Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the mains socket.
Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead.
• To avoid injury or possible fire, do not cover the appliance when in use.

• Do not connect this appliance to an external timer or remote control system.
• An extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be
at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the
worktop or touch any hot surfaces.
• This appliance complies with the basic requirements of Directives 2014/30/EU
(Electromagnetic Compatibility) and 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive).
• WARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13amp socket is a serious safety (shock)
hazard. Ensure the cut off plug is disposed of safely.
• CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may be
dangerous. To avoid risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies
and children. These bags are not toys.
• Always switch off and unplug before lifting out the cooking pot, and when not in use.
Let the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker cool down before moving or cleaning.
• The Digital Slow and Multi Cooker should be unplugged from the mains supply before
filling or emptying the cooking pot. Do not heat the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker
when the cooking pot is empty.
• The cooking pot must be in place to use this appliance.
• To avoid electric shock or damage, never put food directly into the Digital Slow and
Multi Cooker base. Always use the cooking pot.
• Be careful when putting the cooking pot on work surfaces, the bottom of the cooking
pot may scratch and damage tables and worktops. Always place the cooking pot on a
heat resistant mat or trivet.
• Do not use a damaged or cracked cooking pot, making sure the exterior of which is
clean and dry.
• Position the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker well away from walls, curtains and other
heat or steam sensitive materials. When using the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker,
provide adequate space above and on all sides for air circulation.
• Always use plastic, wooden or silicone utensils, as metal utensils will damage the non-
stick coating.
• If using plastic utensils, do not leave inside the appliance when hot or on warm setting.
•
The glass lid has been specially treated to make it stronger, more durable and safer than
ordinary glass, however it is not unbreakable, please use caution when handling the
glass lid.
• Always have the glass lid placed correctly into position on the cooking pot throughout
operation of the appliance unless stated in the recipe to have it removed.
• Do not move the appliance during cooking.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes.
• Do not place frozen or very cold foods into the removable cooking bowl when it is hot.
• Do not place the cooking pot when hot into cold water.
• Do not pre-heat or heat the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker when empty.
PLEASE NOTE: The cooking pot is NOT suitable for use on an induction hob.

WARNING – HOT SURFACES
The surfaces marked with this symbol will get very
hot during use. To prevent injury, DO NOT TOUCH.
Let the product cool completely before touching
these surfaces, and always use the handles to
move the appliance or lift the lid.
Take care when removing the lid, tilt it away from you
to prevent being scalded by hot steam.
Always use oven gloves. Take care when lifting the
cooking pot out of the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker with
hot food inside.

USING YOUR DIGITAL SLOW AND MULTI COOKER
FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Unpack the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker, remove all of the packaging materials.
• Before first use, wipe the outside of the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker with a clean,
damp cloth.
• Wash the glass lid, cooking pot and accessories in hot, soapy water, rinse and dry
thoroughly.
• Make sure that all parts are clean and dry before putting the cooking pot inside the
Digital Slow and Multi Cooker.
• Always use plastic, wooden or silicone spatulas, as metal utensils will damage
non-stick coatings.
• Ensure the interior of the stainless steel housing on the base unit is clean and clear of
any debris.
• Always use dry oven gloves or a cloth when handling the hot cooking pot, as this will
get hot during and after cooking.
• Be careful when moving the cooking pot containing hot oil or liquids.
WARNING: Product will become hot, always use oven gloves.

CONTROL PANEL
• The Digital Slow and Multi Cooker has 11 pre-set programme settings so cooking times
can be adapted. Meals can be slowly simmered all day long, or can be ready in just a
few hours. Over time you will develop a feel for how long your favourite recipes take.
•When the appliance is switched on, it will beep and the START/CANCEL will illuminate
on the panel.
• Press the START/CANCEL button and all the features will illuminate.
• To select one of the 11 pre-set cooking functions press the MODE button.
• The time and temperature can be adjusted by pressing TEMP/TIME button.
To adjust the time press the TEMP/TIME button to choose time mode, the LCD display
will show 0:00. To adjust the temperature press button TEMP/TIME to choose
temperature mode, the LCD will show 000°C, then to adjust the time or temperature
press +or -accordingly.
• Once the desired time and temperature is reached, press the button START/CANCEL to
start the cooking. The six dots will appear and slowly flash to show that the function
has started. You can cancel the cooking process at any time by pressing button START/
CANCEL in 3 seconds.
• During cooking, if you choose a new cooking time and cooking temperature, you have
to press the button START/CANCEL to continue the cooking process.
• When the whole control panel is lite, if not buttons are pressed for 2 minutes, the
appliance will go into standby mode showing START/CANCEL.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• This Digital Slow and Multi Cooker has a working capacity of 5.5 litres, to allow for
bubbling and simmering.
• Prepare your ingredients. Put them inside the cooking pot and add the lid.
• The Digital Slow and Multi Cooker should be at least half full.
• Place the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker on a flat heat resistant surface near a socket.
The Digital Slow and Multi Cooker must be used in a well ventilated area, at least 15cm
away from walls and other surfaces to allow sufficient airflow.
• When using the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker for the first time you may notice a slight
burning smell. This is normal for a new heating element and will disappear after a
few uses.
• Let the base unit cool completely before moving.
• DO NOT put the cooking pot or glass lid in the oven.
• DO NOT put the cooking pot or glass lid in the microwave.
• DO NOT use the cooking pot on an induction hob.
SLOW COOK FUNCTION (LOW AND HIGH)
• Place the ingredients in the cooking pot. This function works best with the lid placed
on the appliance.
• Press MODE button to choose Slow Cook function. Press MODE button one time to
choose slow cooking Low, press MODE button again to choose slow cooking High.
• The temperature is preset on this function and only the time can be changed.
• To change the time, press the TEMP/TIME button and the – and + icons will appear.
Adjust the cooking time, by press the – and + buttons accordingly, the time range is
from 30 minutes to 12 hours in 30 minute increments.
• After you have chosen the function, press the START/CANCEL button to start the
cooking. The six dots will appear and slowly flash to show that the function has started.
• When using this function after cooking has finished, the appliance will enter into the
Keep Warm function automatically.
• When using the Slow Cook function the final temperature of the food is about 120ºC
whether it has been cooked on the low or high setting. The only difference between
these settings is the amount of time the cooking process takes.
• Use LOW: if you wish to extend the cooking time, ideal for simmering and slow
cooking.
• Use HIGH: if you wish to shorten the cooking time, ideal for faster cooking.

All cooking times are approximate, and will vary according to your recipe and choice of
ingredients.
COOK ON LOW COOK ON HIGH
Recipe cooking time 8 to12 hours 4 to 6 hours
PLEASE NOTE: Lifting the lid of the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker during cooking results
in temperature loss and adds about 25 minutes to the cooking time. Avoid lifting the lid.
STEAM FUNCTION
• Place the steam rack inside the cooking pot, with water up to just below the rack.
Place your ingredients to be steamed on the rack. This function works best with the lid
placed on the appliance.
•
Choose Steam function by pressing the MODE button. 0:30 will be displayed on the panel.
• The temperature is preset on this function and only the time can be changed.
• To change the time, press the TEMP/TIME button and the – and + icons will appear.
Adjust the cooking time, by press the – and + buttons accordingly, the time range is
from 10 minutes to 1hour 30 minutes in 5 minute increments.
• After choosing time, press the START/CANCEL button to start the cooking. The six dots
will appear and slowly flash to show that the function has started.
• Should you wish to adjust then press the TEMP/TIME button, adjust the time and then
press the START/CANCEL button.
• When the appliance has reached the end of the cooking process it will beep
continuously and ‘End’ will appear on the LCD panel.
• Press START/CANCEL button once to stop, all the features will illuminate on the panel.
• Switch off at the socket and unplug the appliance.
SAUTÉ FUNCTION
• Place the ingredients in the cooking pot.
• Press MODE button to choose Sauté function.
• The default temperature is 150°C and the default time is 1 hour.
• There are four temperature setting for this function: 50°C,100°C,150°C and 200°C.
• The time range is from 5 minutes to 1hour and 30 minutes in 5 minute increments.
• After setting, press the START/CANCEL button to start cooking. The panel will change
between the time left to cook and the temperature. The six dots will appear and slowly
flash to show that the function has started.
• When the appliance has reached the end of the cooking process it will beep
continuously and ‘End’ will appear on the LCD panel.
• Press START/CANCEL button once to stop, all the features will illuminate on the panel.
• Switch off at the socket and unplug the appliance.

SIMMER FUNCTION
• Place the ingredients in the cooking pot.
• Press MODE button to choose Simmer function.
• The temperature is preset on this function and only the time can be changed.
• The default cooking time is 2 hours. To change the time, press the TEMP/TIME button
and the – and + icons will appear. Adjust the cooking time, by press the – and +
buttons accordingly, the time range is from 30 minutes to 24 hours in 30 minute
increments.
• After setting, press the START/CANCEL button to start cooking. The six dots will appear
and slowly flash to show that the function has started.
• When the appliance has reached the end of the cooking process it will beep
continuously and ‘End’ will appear on the LCD panel.
• Press START/CANCEL button once to stop, all the features will illuminate on the panel.
• Switch off at the socket and unplug the appliance.
FRY FUNCTION
• Add oil to the cooking pot and put the lid on.
• Press MODE button to choose Fry function.
• The default temperature is 160°C and the default time is 30 minutes.
• You can adjust temperature to one of the following settings:
120°C,140°C,160°C,180°C, 200°C.
• To change the time, press the TEMP/TIME button and the – and + icons will appear.
Adjust the cooking time, by press the – and + buttons accordingly, the time range is
from 10 minutes to 1hour 30 minutes in 5 minute increments
• After setting, press START/CANCEL button to start cooking. The six dots will appear
and slowly flash to show that the function has started.
• Place ingredients in the frying basket and put inside the cooking pot, place the lid
carefully over the top.
• The control panel will flash between the time and temperature.
• When the appliance has reached the end of the cooking process it will beep
continuously and ‘End’ will appear on the LCD panel.
• Press START/CANCEL button once to stop, all the features will illuminate on the panel.
• Switch off at the socket and unplug the appliance.
YOGHURT FUNCTION
• Place the ingredients in the cooking pot. This function works best with the lid placed
on the appliance.
• Press MODE button to choose Yoghurt function.
• The temperature is preset on this function and only the time can be changed.
• To change the time, press the TEMP/TIME button and the – and + icons will appear.
Adjust the cooking time, by press the – and + buttons accordingly, the time range is
from 4 hours to 12 hours in 30 minute increments.

• After setting, press the START/CANCEL button to start the cooking. The six dots will
appear and slowly flash to show that the function has started.
• When the appliance has reached the end of the cooking process it will beep
continuously and ‘End’ will appear on the LCD panel.
• Press START/CANCEL once to stop, all the features will illuminate on the panel.
• Switch off at the socket and unplug the appliance.
SOUS VIDE FUNCTION
• Place the sous vide rack inside the cooking pot.
• Vacuum seal the food to be sous vide, in suitably sized vacuum sealing food saver bags
and position in the sous vide rack.
• Fill the cooking pot with water. Do not exceed the MAX level mark.
• Put the sealed bag/s into the room temperature water ensure the bags are fully
immersed in the water.
• Use the sous vide rack to separate the bags if multiple bags are being cooked.
• This function works best with the lid placed on the appliance.
• Press MODE button to choose Sous Vide function.
• The default temperature is 55°C and 30 minutes.
• To change the temperature, press the TEMP/TIME button and the – and + icons will
appear. Adjust the cooking temperature can choose from 25°C to 100°C at various
temperature settings. e.g. 60, 63, 65, 68, 70, 73°C etc.
• To change the time, press the TEMP/TIME button and the – and + icons will appear.
Adjust the cooking time, by press the – and + buttons accordingly, the time range is
from 30 minutes to 24 hours in 30 minute increments.
• The countdown of time on Sous Vide function does not begin until the desired
temperature is reached. When the temperature is reached the machine will
automatically go into the countdown function.
FONDUE FUNCTION
• Place the ingredients in the cooking pot.
• Press MODE button to choose Fondue function.
• In fondue function you can only change the cooking temperature from 25°C to 85°C in
10°C increments.
• The cooking time range is not adjustable.
• After setting, press the START/CANCEL button to start cooking. The six dots will appear
and slowly flash to show that the function has started.
RICE FUNCTION
• Place the ingredients in the cooking pot. This function works best with the lid placed
on the appliance.
• Press MODE button to choose Rice function.

• There is no time displayed during this function, as the appliance works off a moisture
sensor.
• The control panel display will show ON.
• After setting, press the START/CANCEL button to start cooking. The six dots will appear
and slowly flash to show that the function has started.
• After cooking, the appliance will turn to the Keep Warm function automatically.
MANUAL FUNCTION
• This function is for you to set the appliance accordingly to what you require.
• The temperature setting from 20°C to 220°C.
• The time setting can be changed from 5 minutes to 12 hours.
• The default setting is 6 hours and 100°C.
KEEP WARM FUNCTION
• You can choose KEEP WARM for any of the functions at the beginning of the process
whilst setting the temperature and time. Press the KEEP WARM button the default time
of 6 hours will show, the time range for this setting is from 30 minutes to 12 hours in
30 minute increments.
DELAY START FUNCTION
• The can set the appliance to DELAY START from 5 minutes to 24 hours in 5 minute
increments.
• DELAY START function can only be used on the following functions: Slow Cook (Low
and High), Steam, Simmer, Yoghurt, Sous Vide, Rice.
Example
• If you want SLOW COOK High function (in 4 hours) with 8 hours delay time. The
setting must follow:
• Press the MODE button to choose SLOW COOK High, choose cooking time in 4 hours,
then press DELAY button and press + or - to choose 8 hours, after setting, press the
START/CANCEL button to start cooking.
• The appliance will show the time left on the DELAY START function and the six dots
will show the time left on DELAY START. It will then show the MODE function on the
panel and the time left to cook.

A GUIDE TO INGREDIENTS AND HINTS AND TIPS
• To ensure even cooking, cut meat and vegetables into similar sized pieces so they cook
evenly. Root vegetables often take longer to cook than meat, so they should be diced
or chopped more finely.
• Brown your meat on the hob in the cooking pot before cooking in the Digital Slow and
Multi Cooker. This adds flavour to the final dish.
• When using frozen meat, poultry, fish or seafood, defrost thoroughly before adding to
the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker. Never cook from frozen. Keep raw meat and poultry
separate from cooked foods.
• Add enough liquid e.g. stock, to cover the ingredients inside the cooking pot before
switching on the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker, approximately 2cm up the cooking pot
is best.
• Slow cooking does not need stirring, but you may like to give your food an occasional
stir if cooking on HIGH.
• Put food which may need longer to cook in the bottom of the cooking pot. It will be
nearer the heat source and will sit in the liquid, which will help it to cook.
• Fish and seafood tend to dry out quickly, so they are best added to dishes near the end
of cooking time.
• If you find there is too much liquid at the end of cooking remove the lid and cook on
high for about 30 minutes until the liquid reduces.
• Fresh herbs are best added near the end of cooking; dried herbs can be added along
with the main ingredients.
ADAPTING YOUR HOB TOP RECIPES FOR
SLOW COOKING
• Recipes will require far less liquid than their equivalents cooked on the hob: reduce the
liquid in hob recipes by half, you can always top up during cooking if it seems too dry.
• Reduce salt in recipes, as slow cooking and reduced liquid means flavours are more
enhanced and less salt is required.
• Recipes often say, ‘Bring to boil, and then turndown‘ with the Digital Slow and Multi
Cooker this is not necessary. Simply set the cooker on low.
TIMINGS
• If recipe suggests to cook for 15-30 minutes, it will need up to 2 hours on the high
setting in the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker.
• If recipe suggests to cook for 30-45 minutes, it will need up to 4 hours on the high
setting in the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker.
• If recipe suggests to cook for 2-3 hours, it will need up to 6 hours on the high setting
in the Digital Slow and Multi Cooker.

RECIPES
PLEASE NOTE: That all spoon measurements are standard metric, so 1 tsp is 5ml and
1 tbsp is 15ml. We recommend using measuring spoons for accurate results.
MEATBALLS IN TOMATO SAUCE – Serves 6
Ingredients Quantity
White bread 2 slices (90g) crusts removed
Milk 125ml
Minced beef 1kg
Brown onion, medium 1, grated finely
Carrot, medium 1, grated finely
Garlic cloves 3, crushed
Egg 1
Tomato paste 2 tbsp
Dried oregano ½ tsp
Fresh basil 2 tbsp, chopped finely
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Brown onion, medium 1, chopped finely
Garlic cloves 2, crushed
Chopped tomatoes 400g can
Cherry tomatoes 400g
Tomato paste 2 tbsp
Beef stock 250ml
Fresh basil leaves 3 tbsp
LOW: 6 hours.
WHAT YOU DO
Combine bread and milk in a large bowl; stand for 10 minutes. Add beef, onion, carrot,
garlic, egg, paste, oregano and chopped basil, season; mix well. Shape level tablespoons
of mixture into balls. Transfer to the slow cooker.
Heat oil in a large frying pan; cook extra onion and garlic, stirring, until the onion softens.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, extra paste and stock; transfer to the cooker. Cook, covered,
on low for 6 hours. Season to taste.
Serve with spaghetti, sprinkled with basil leaves.

ASIAN STYLE SALMON FILLETS – Serves 2
Ingredients Quantity
Chilli 1
Salmon fillets 2 (225-250g in total)
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Sugar ½ tsp
Fish sauce 1 tbsp
WHAT TO DO:
Deseed and finely chop the chilli.
Put the fish into a vacuum bag, add the chilli, soy sauce, sugar and fish sauce.
Vacuum seal the bag according to the sealer instructions.
Set the temperature to 63°C and the timer to 30 minutes.
Cook your recipe using the Sous Vide function.
Once cooked, remove from the pouch and serve with fresh vegetables, noodles or
with salad.

ATTACHING THE FRYING BASKET HANDLE
1. Take the basket handle with the two metal
prongs facing downwards.
2. Squeezing the prongs together, slot them in
between the bar and back of the basket.
3. Locate the ends of the two metal prongs in the
two holes.
4. Pull the handle towards the edge of the basket
until it clicks into place and is secure. Take
great care to ensure that the handle is firmly
locked into place on the basket.

WARNING: Do not heat the Fryer without putting oil in the cooking
pot first. Oil must be filled to the minimum level and must not exceed
the maximum level.
WARNING: Do not use the Fryer under wall-mounted cupboards,
which may prevent the lid fully being removed. Do not leave the Fryer
unattended when it is switched on.
FRYING
FILLING THE OIL RESERVOIR
1.
Pour the oil into the cooking pot making sure that it is between the “MIN” and
“MAX” fill lines.
2. Do not under fill or overfill. The oil levels must be maintained between the
minimum and the maximum levels marked inside the cooking pot.
3. You can use blended vegetable oil, corn oil, or rapeseed oil. Do not use olive oil.
Never mix old and new oil together or different oils.
PREHEATING
1. WARNING: Never plug in the appliance before filling the cooking pot with oil.
Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use.
2. Make sure that the oil level in the cooking pot is between the “MAX” and “MIN”
fill lines inside the cooking pot.
3. Place the lid onto the Fryer.
4. Insert the plug into the wall socket.
FILLING THE FRYING BASKET AND FRYING
1. WARNING: When frying frozen foods, remove the frying basket from the deep
fryer before filling because oil will spatter and cause burns.
2. CAUTION: When frying frozen foods such as French fries, remove any ice from frozen
food prior to frying. Failure to do so may cause fryer to overflow when food is placed
in oil.
3. Do not fill the basket when it is immersed in the hot oil.
4. Place the food in the basket. Do not drop the food into the hot cooking oil. Do not
overfill it and never exceed the 2/3 depth of the basket. For optimum results and
shorter frying time, fry smaller quantities.
5. Immerse the basket into the cooking pot carefully and slowly so that you do not
splash the oil.
6. Replace the lid on the appliance while it is frying to protect you from any splashes of
oil when the food is cooking.
7. Use the viewing window to view your food or lift the basket out of the oil and hook it
onto the side of the cooking pot to have a look.
8. When the cooking period is over, carefully remove the lid, lifting it up away from you
to allow the steam to escape before removing the lid completely. Keep your face away
from the top of the appliance to avoid burns caused by escaping Steam.
Avoid standing too close to the deep fryer while it is working.
