Blanket for Back heated vest.
Lanaform’s Heating Blanket for Back heated vest,
has undergone the rigorous testing required un-
der current European standards. Furthermore,
the heated vest has phased temperature con-
trol that lets you warm yourself in winter and
in damp weather.
Please read all the instruc-
tions before using your Heating
Blanket for Back, especially
this basic safety information
To prevent the risk of burns,
electrocution, re or injury:
Before connecting the device,
check that your mains voltage is
the same as that of your device.
Only use this device according
to the instructions given in this
manual. This appliance can be
used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of ex-
perience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and un-
derstand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made
by children without supervision.
This heat pad must not be used
by children under 3 years old be-
cause they might not react if it
overheats. This heat pad must not
be used by young children (be-
tween 3 and 8 years old) unless a
parent or a guardian has set the
power switch and the child has
been given enough information
to use the heat pad safely. Do not
use accessories that are not rec-
ommended by Lanaform or that
are not supplied with this device.
If the power cable is damaged,
it must be replaced by a special
or similar cable available from
the supplier or the latter’s after
sales department. Do not use this
device if the power plug is dam-
aged, if the device is not work-
ing properly, has been dropped
on the oor or if it is damaged
or has been dropped into water.
Have the device examined and
repaired by the supplier or its
after-sales department. Do not
carry this device by its power

cable or use the cable as a han-
dle. Always unplug the device af-
ter use or before cleaning. Un-
plug a device that has fallen into
water immediately before retriev-
ing it. An electrical device must
never remain plugged in without
supervision. Unplug it when you
are not using it. Use your heated
vest only with the electrical plug
provided. Do not fold the power
cable and do not use the heated
vest when it is creased, rolled up
or folded. Never use this device
in a room where aerosols (sprays)
are used or in a room or where
oxygen is being administered.
To disconnect the device, turn
the button to the “OFF” position,
then remove the plug from the
mains. Do not use safety pins, do
not scratch the heated vest with
a sharp object and do not beat
it with a blunt object. Do not at-
tach the device with pins or oth-
er metal objects. Never let any-
thing drop or insert any object
into any openings. Do not ex-
pose your heated vest to the sun
and do not iron it. This will pre-
vent damage to the insulation
of the electrical circuit. This de-
vice is not intended to be used
in a hospital environment, but
for use in the home only. Do not
use the heated vest with other
heating devices or to heat other
devices (hot-water bottle, elec-
tric blanket, etc.). If you are con-
cerned about your health, consult
a doctor before using this appli
-
ance. If you experience any pain
when using this device, stop us-
ing it immediately and consult
your doctor. Never use this de-
vice on a body part that is swol-
len or inamed or if you have
a skin rash. The remote control
must remain within reach, do not
leave the switch hidden under a
pillow or any other object. Do not
wash the heated vest too often
to avoid excessive wear and tear.
The heated vest should not be
washed in the washing machine
more than 5 times during its life.
Do not use the device when it is
damp and do not turn it on to
dry it. When storing your heat-
ed best for a long period, store
it in a dry place. Carefully check
its condition before operating
it again for the rst time. If the
power cable appears damaged,
do not operate the device and
take it back to the supplier or its

after-sales department. This de-
vice should not be used by young
children, people who are insen-
sitive to heat or on animals. The
device should not be used on a
folding bed or on a bed, a sec-
tion of which can be adjusted. Ex-
amine the device frequently to
check for any signs of damage
to the product or signs of wear. If
you notice signs of wear or dam
-
age, stop using this product im-
mediately and take it back to
the supplier or the its after-sales
department.

heated vest

Operating the heated vest
• Connect the plug to the socket at the bot-
tom of the heated vest and the other end
to an electricity supply (AC220-240V).
Make sure that there is a power socket
nearby and that the power cable is not in
a position where the user may trip over it.
• Put on the electric heated vest us-
ing the tether strap and velcro for
the neck. The light side of the vest
should be against your back.
• When it lights up, the pow-
er status display lights up.
• Select the heat output required (1 to
3) using the heat control button.
• To turn the device o, turn the but-
ton to the “O” position.
Note: The Heated Vest is set to run continuous-
ly for 90 minutes. If you wish to extend that time,
it is advisable to let the heated vest cool down
for 5 minutes before using it again.
Cleaning and
maintenance
When you are not using the electric heated
vest and before cleaning it, follow the instruc-
tions below:
• Make sure the control but-
ton is in the “OFF” position.
• Disconnect the power supply.
• Disconnect the plug link-
ing the control to the device.
• Let the heated vest cool
down before cleaning.
Cleaning
Small stains can be cleaned with a cloth or a
damp sponge and, if necessary, with a little liq-
uid detergent for delicate fabrics.
Warning: the electric heated vest should not
be dry-cleaned, bent, dried in a dryer or ma-
chine-pressed or ironed.
If the heated vest is very dirty, it can be washed
in a washing machine. Set it to the 30°C pro-
gramme for delicate fabrics. Use a detergent
for delicate fabrics and measure it out accord-
ing to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Do not wash the heated vest too often to avoid
excessive wear and tear. The heated vest should
not be washed in the washing machine more
than 5 times during its life.
