Mobile Printing
Every environment with existing high-speed Internet
access—wired or wireless—can reduce their support
burden with Lanier’s versatile HotSpot Printer
technology.
•Mobile handheld device printing—Simply forward any e-mail from
PDAs or Internet-enabled cell phones –with or without attachments–
to the HotSpot Printer’s e-mail address. No drivers required!
•Driverless Web-based printing—Surf to the HotSpot Printer Web
address using any browser, and upload a file or enter the Web page
URL to be printed. After submitting each print request, the service
automatically replies to the sender’s e-mail address with a secure
release code. At the keypad attached to the printer, the user then
enters the code to release the print job.
•Ironclad data encryption—Users are assured of complete
confidentiality during file processing and transmission. All print
jobs are encrypted and transferred using 128-bit secure SSL
communications.
•Security and peace of mind—After printing, every job is
automatically erased from printer memory. No worries about
unauthorized reprinting.

1.Documents and Web pages to be printed aresent from a
wired or wireless laptop, cell phone or handheld device to
the PrintSpots™server using 128-bit SSL encryption.
The printer’sunique Web page or e-mail address is noted
on a label affixed to the printer.
Each job is assigned a private release code automatically.
2. The receiving server generates a compressed printable
data file and transmits it securely to the destination
printer,once again using 128-bit SSL encryption for
complete file integrity and protection.
3. The job resides safely in the printer’sharddisk
drive until the user arrives at the printer and
enters a confidential 4 – 10 digit release code
using the attached keypad.
The file is decompressed, printed and is then
automatically erased from memory for total
security.It’sthat easy!
