Lanier’s HotSpot Printer Allows
Users to Print from Mobile Devices
Securely print documents, e-mails, and Web content in full-color from Internet-
enabled laptops, cell phones, and handheld devices without downloading and
installing drivers or additional software.
ATotally Integrated Solution
Simple installation. All printer hardware enhancements are preconfigured;
all software is pre-loaded. The system is self-configuring and ready to Print
Simply Anywhere®in minutes, making it easy to provide full-color mobile printing
services to customers with little support. The The Lanier LP226cn-KP Color
HotSpot Laser Printer ships with a 1 year prepaid subscription to the PrinterOn®
web service, which must be registered in order to be activated.
Totally embedded. HotSpot Printer technology leverages the power of Lanier’s
Embedded Software Architecture™to actually install the mobile printing software
securely inside the device itself. That means no external appliances, no chance
for users to accidentally change system settings or access other jobs.
Areal One-For-All solution. The compact Lanier LP226cn-KP can perform
daily network color printing tasks for stationaryemployees in addition to
supporting mobile user needs. Designed to fit in the tightest workspaces, this
universal printer enables printing in full-color while eliminating any compatibility,
installation, or driver supportissues.
Simple & Secure Mobile Printing
Print using two easy methods.
•From the printer’s Web page, mobile users simply upload a file or Web page
URL to be printed and submit a print request.
•Forward any e-mail from PDAs or Internet-enabled cell phones – with or
without attachments – to the HotSpot Printer’s e-mail address.
Using either method the system automatically replies to the sender’s e-mail
address with a secure release code for each print job. The user inputs this code
at the keypad upon arriving at the printer. It’s that simple.
Ironclad data encryption. Users are assured of complete confidentiality
during file processing and transmission. All print jobs are encrypted and
transferred using 128-bit secure SSL communications. After printing, every
job is automatically and permanently erased from printer memory.
Password protection. Documents are printed only after the user enters the
assigned release code using the keypad attachment, ensuring only the sender
can retrieve the job.
Customizable to Build Your Brand
Customizable interface. Incorporate company logos and colors on the
PrintSpots™Web pages to reflect your business identity.
Add links and custom messages. Customize the main user interface to add
links to other websites, add new printers, or insert new screens for additional
services, print job options, and job confirmation/approval steps.
Support for third party billing/accounting systems. Seamlessly integrate
full-color HotSpot Printing functionality into your existing network infrastructure to
create chargeable printing services and generate new revenues for your business.

and USB 2.0 ports mounted on the Gigabit Ethernet Board.
