Reference Form
We would like to thank you for purchasing this Laser Tools torque wrench and hope it gives you
many years of service.
Our warranty policy for this precision tool is 12 months from date of purchase.
Your purchase receipt is the ‘start of use date’ and this receipt should be kept somewhere secure
in case the goods are found to be faulty and need to be returned or you require a calibration test
within twelve months.
The date on the calibration certificate supplied with your torque wrench and also stamped on the
handle is the date the wrench was tested after being assembled by the manufacturer and is not
the ‘start of use date’.
We recommend you complete the above form with the purchase details and attach your receipt
to the reverse.
We understand that the use of torque wrenches is vital in all garage and workshop environments
but we have enclosed our Tech Torque booklet on torque wrenches and hope you find the
information useful.
Maintenance of this precision tool is essential to ensure its continued service so we would like to
remind you how to store and preserve its functionality.

Maintenance
Reasons for Torque Wrench Malfunction
• Always ensure your torque wrench is maintained in a dry, clean environment.
• Always release the torque after use.
• Store the torque wrench in the case in which it was provided.
• Dropping the torque wrench.
• Overloading the recommended torque.
• Not using the torque wrench for a long period of time.
• Using the torque wrench in serious hot or cold conditions (0˚<50˚C).
• Leaving the torque wrench on a set torque.
• Using it to break a bolt (undoing).
• Using it as a breaker bar.
Precautions:
• Never use an extension bar.
• Never use a length of pipe to extend the handle of your torque wrench.
• Tighten in a slow and controlled manner and stop applying pressure immediately the torque
wrench indicates the required setting has been reached. Tightening too quickly will result in an
inaccurate final torque figure.
3. As you start to tighten the wrench, the main torque figure in the display will increase and the
first LED will illuminate.
4. As the torque nears 85% of the final set figure, the second LED illuminates and an audible
beeping starts. The beeping quickens as further torque is applied.
5. When the desired torque is reached, the third LED illuminates and an audible high-pitched
tone will sound. Take care to stop applying further torque once the desired setting has been
reached.
6. When finished, the torque wrench will switch itself off (auto shut-off) or it can be shut-off
manually by depressing button (A) and holding for approximately 2 seconds.
Changing the Batteries
The torque wrench is powered by three (3) AAA batteries. To gain access, first remove the locking
screw (2), then twist the battery cover (1) anticlockwise to remove. The batteries can then be
removed.
Insert new batteries positive (+) end first into the battery compartment (4).
Replace battery cover (1) and twist clockwise to secure. Take care that the locking screw (2) is at
the bottom of the cover, and therefore will line up with the internal locking screw hole (3). If the
battery cover is fitted the wrong way up (ie, with the locking screw at the top) and you attempt to
tighten the locking screw, the unit will be damaged.
Dispose of batteries according to local authority guidelines.
