Innovative and multifunctional
The first 8 x 56 with Leica high-performance optics and an integrated laser range-
finder – for identifying game with confidence while simultaneously determining
its exact distance.
Compact and lightweight
The LEICA GEOVID 8x 56 BRF, weighing only 1,100g (less than 39 oz) including
battery, and with a length of only182mm, is by far the lightest and most compact
8 x 56 binocular – as compared to conventional binoculars in this category without
rangefinders.
Bright and brilliant
Extraordinarily bright – ideal for hunting wild boar from a stand at twilight or at
night – thanks to Leica high performance optics with HDC™ multi-coating and a
front lens diameter of 56mm. Outstanding image rendition, rich in contrast, with
neutral color rendition, razor-sharp all the way to the edges, more than satisfying
the highest demands in hunting.
Robust and comfortable
Uncompromised, precise function – even under the harshest conditions from
-15 to +50°C (+5 to +122°F). Secure and fatigue-free observation and range-
finding in every situation and over long periods of time, thanks to a well-balanced
weight distribution and to the optimal positioning of the operating elements.
Identify the game confidently – with the Geovid class from Leica
Leica is the first optics specialist to succeed in combining uncompromising high-
performance optics and a laser rangefinder in a particularly compact binocular. This
innovative concept for modern hunting optics has now been implemented for the first
time in the form of a classic binocular for hunting from a stand – with a performance
that is unmatched ! With the LEICA GEOVID 8x 56 BRF, Leica defines a new era of high-
performance optics for hunting and demonstrates what is technically feasible – for a
modern, sportsmanlike way of hunting.

“The Geovid 8 x 56 fills a gap, because it is exactly
what the hunter, hunting from a stand, has been wai-
ting to use : Very bright thanks to Leica highest
grade optics and a very large front lens diameter,
efficient because of the integrated rangefinder – all
that and it is incredibly handy ! Not only does that
make hunting from a stand at twilight or at night
more pleasant, it also makes identifying the game
more accurate and faster. Every modern hunter
should use such a binocular.” (Torsten Flätchen,
Hunting School Linslerhof, Germany)
Superb performance in a small package The LEICA GEOVID 8 x 56 BRF
binocular sets completely new standards : It is the first one to improve upon the classic
binocular as used when hunting from a stand by combining it with a laser rangefinder –
and all that in an extremely compact and robust housing. That makes the efficiency of
the new Geovid 8x 56 BRF stand out far above that of a classic binocular.
LEICA GEOVID 8x 56 BRF – a milestone The Geovid class from Leica
is the vanguard of trend-setting, high-performance optics for hunters. With the new
LEICA GEOVID 8x 56 BRF, Leica is expanding the line of Geovid models, offering the
demanding hunter an unmatched binocular that has been optimized for hunting from
a stand at twilight and at nighttime. It was designed in close consultation with ex-
perienced European hunters, and it was tailored to their wishes. Highest optical per-
formance, coupled with accurate laser rangefinding, combined in an extraordinarily
compact binocular – handy, light, precise.
The integrated laser rangefinder clearly provides the hunter
with greater confidence before he pulls the trigger. The laser tech-
nology is based on the many years of Leica experience as the market
leader for high-performance rangefinders. Its range of up to1,200 m
means versatility, its operation is simple and fast. The integrated
scan mode makes it possible to measure the distance accurately
to small targets or to moving game.
A Geovid will go through thick and thin Leica binocu-
lars enjoy a legendary reputation among hunters and nature
observers around the world. The new LEICA GEOVID 8 x 56 BRF
will enhance that reputation even further : You can depend on
its precision mechanics and its high-performance electronics,
even at temperatures as low as -15 °C ; The die-cast aluminum
housing is virtually indestructible, it is watertight to depths
of up to 5 m and it is filled with nitrogen so that it will
not fog up.
LEICA GEOVID 8 x 56 BRF
High-performance binocular with a 7 mm exit pupil, great
image steadiness because of the 8x magnification, ex-
treme brightness thanks to Leica HDC™ multi-coating
and a 56 mm front lens diameter, in addition to precise
distance measurement. Only 182mm, it weighs a
mere 1,100 grams.
