Using the Remote Control
Using the remote control
Point the remotecontrol directly atthe remote sensor
on the frontof the DVDPlayer.

Installing the battery
1. Open thebattery compartment coverusing a coin.
3. Replace thebattery compartment coverand turn clockwise
until it stops.
2. Insert a3V lithium batteryinto the batterycompartment with
the polarity (+ ) facingup as marked.

Connecting Earphones (Optional Accessory)
You can attach an earphone with a stereo mini-jack plug to the phone jack ( ) for private listening. The volume can be adjusted
using VOL + and VOL - on the remote control or using the VOLUME control dial on the Player .
Note: When the earphone is connected to the Phone Jack ( ), the speaker will be disconnected.

Connecting DIGITAL-TV Antenna
Toreceive digital TV and radio,you need toconnect an antennato the player. Follow these steps:
1. Plug theantenna cable intothe antenna socketon the Player.
2. Place theantenna on anysurface.
3. The antenna has amagnetic base whichcan be attachedto any metalsurface.

Two antennapoles are includedfor vertical and horizontal placement. When
placing the antennaon a verticalsurface, a 90 degree-bend antenna maybe
used. To change, simply unscrew the polefrom the baseand replace with the
other pole.

Suggestions to Improve TV Reception
You will significantly improve your TV reception by following
these tips.
1. Place theantenna near thewindows.
2. Place theantenna on ametal surface especiallyof large
surface such asmetal chair,table, cooking pot,coat rack,
radiator, handetc.
3. Orient theantenna in different direction until a best
reception is obtained.
Note: This Players usesactive (powered) antenna,the
amplifier provides anincreased signal levelcompared to
passive (no power)antenna.

1. Turnoff the DVD player andTV.
2. Connect theaudio and videocables as illustrated.
3. Turnon the DVDplayer and TV.
4. On TV, select the corresponding Video input which is connected to the DVD player.
You can enjoy DVD quality video on a TV screen by connecting the output of thePlayer to yourTV.

Using USB Port

Connecting a USB device
1. Plug inthe USB deviceto the USBport on thePlayer.
2. Press SOURCE and use toselect USB mode, press toconfirm.
Removing a USB device
You can remove the USB device anytime even when it is playing. To remove the USB device, simply grasp the end of the USB and
remove it fromthe slot.
Playing a USB device
The Player accepts mostUSB devices such asMP3, DSC, USB- drive, Digital Camcorder etc. The USB in this Player supports
version 1.1/2.0.
1. Press SOURCE and use to select USB mode, press to confirm. The Player will startplaying the firstfile in thefirst
directory if thereis more thanone directory.
2. To play otherfiles press MENU/PBC to bring upthe file directory, then usethe direction keys( and )to select andpress
to play.
Note:
If you havedifferent file types (photo, music,video) in theUSB, make sureyou have selectedto display allfile types (see " Displaying
and Sorting Files")otherwise, some filetypes may notbe displayed.

Using the AC Adaptor
Important !
Always turn off the DVD Player before connecting or disconnecting the AC cord.
. Using adifferent type of adaptor maycause malfunction ordamage to theproduct.Only use theAC adaptorsupplied with thisplayer
When theAC adaptor isused for aprolonged period oftime, the adaptormay heat up,this is normaland is nota cause forconcern.
When not usingthe adaptor,unplug it fromthe outlet.
This portable DVDplayer can bepowered byAC through thesupplied switching powerAC adaptor. It can also use the
supplied battery pack.
When theAC adaptor isconnected to theunit and powered,the unit willbe automatically disconnectedelectrically from the
battery pack andpowered by theAC power.

2. When thebattery is fullycharged, the greenLED stays lit.
3. When thePlayer uses batteryfor power,steady green LEDlights. If thebattery

This PLAYER has a built-in rechargeable battery, follow thesesteps to recharge.
1. Connect theA.C adaptoras illustrated.
2. Slide POWER to OFF. ( The Player mustbe turned off to chargethe battery).
3. The charging starts, andwhen it isfully charged, thecharging stops automatically.

Watching DIGITAL TV
1. Make surethe unit hasthe power eitherfrom the batteryor
the ACadaptor.
2. Make surethe antenna isconnected to theplayer.
3. Slide POWER on the Playerto ON.
4. Use toselect DVB mode, press toconfirm.
Preparation for TV Operation
First Time TV Setup
When you firstuse the TV, the Player automatically starts the
installation wizard, followthrough the instructionto setup your
TV program.
2. Select Country and press toconfirm.
3. Use toselect and press to change country .
4. The language and timezone will changeautomatically
according to thecountry you selected.But you stillcan
make change.
Note: if you wantto change theOSD language to your preferred
language follow these steps
1. Press SETUP on the remotecontrol
2. Select System Setting and press toconfirm.
3. Select OSD and press toconfirm.
4. Use thedirection keys ( ) to selectOSD language youwant,
press on theremote (or ENTER on the Player) to confirm.
5. Press SETUP to get out.
1. Select YES and press onthe remote (orENTER on the
Player) to confirm.
5. Select NEXT to continue.
6. Select YES to start scanningfor TV channels and radio
stations, and thePlayer begins searchingand listing the
available channels.
7. Aftercompleting the searching,the Player displaysthe first
TV program on the list.To change TV channel, use / CH+,
/ CH -.

Watching DIGITAL TV
Changing TV Channel
You can change TV channel the following three ways:
1. Press / CH+ or /CH - .
2. Enter thechannel number directly.
3. Press todisplay TV channel list, use to select
channel, press toconfirm and view.
Pause
Press PAUSE, to freezethe screen display.
Displaying Electronic Program Guide (EPG)
1. Press EPG to display theElectronic TV program guide.
2. Use / CH+ or / CH - to select program, and then press
to view programdetails.
3. Press EPG again or EXIT repeatedly to get out.
Displaying Teletext
1. Press TELETEX to display theteletext.
2. Use tonavigate content orkey-in page numberto view
different pages.
3. Press TELETEX again or EXIT repeatedly to getout.
Displaying Current Channel Information
Press DISPLAY to display theinformation of currentchannel.
Press DISPLAY again or EXIT to exit.
Muting
Press MUTE to silence thesound, press MUTE again to
restore it.
Watching Your Favorite TV programs
1. Repeatedly pressFAVORITE to turn onthe favorite function,
and FAV ON appears on thescreen.
2. Use / CH+ or / CH - to view the favorite TV programs you
have set upin the sectionof TV Program: Favorite,
Listing Order,Deleting.
3. To turn off the favoriteTV program, press FAVORITE, and
FAV OFF appears on thescreen.

Listening to Digital Radio
You can listen tohigh quality digitalradio program withthis Player.
1. Press RADIO to change toRadio.
2. Use / CH+ or /CH- to change satiation.

TV Program : Favorite, Listing Order, Deleting
Setting Up Favorite Program List
Tomake a favoriteprogram, simply movethe cursor toFavor
column, and selectthe program name, press to confirm,
a " " appears.
To watch favorite program, press FAVORITE on the remote
control and useCH+ and CH- to select yourfavorite program.
Changing Program Order
You can change the order of the program list, this is the order it
follows when / CH+ or / CH- is pressed.
Deleting Program
You can permanently delete the program .
1. Press SOURCE on the remotecontrol and selectDVB.
2. Press SETUP to access Main menu.
3. Select DVB Menu and press toconfirm .
4. Use thedirection keys ( ) to selectProgram List
then TV Program.
5. Press toconfirm your selection. Move the cursorto MOVE column and selectthe program and
press to confirm, " " appears, Use keys tomove up
and down.
Move the cursor to Del column, select the program and press
to confirm, a " X" appears, and the program will be deleted when
you exit the setup.

Music Program: Favorite,listing Order, Deleting. TV/Music Program List Sorting
TV/Music Program List Sorting
1. Press SOURCE on the remotecontrol and selectDVB.
2. Press SETUP to access Main menu.
3. Select DVB Menu and press to confirm .
4. Use thedirection keys ( ) to selectProgram List
then TV Program.
5. Press toconfirm your selection.
You can list the order of TV and Musicprograms according to
Name, Service IDor Channel Number
Toset up favoriteMusic Program list, to change
Program Listing Orderand Program Deleting,
please refer to" TV Program: Favorite Listing Order,
Deleting" on page19.

Scanning and Setting TV Channel
The Player canautomatically search availableTV channels
and you canalso do manualsearch. However whenthe
channel is locked(see SettingParental Control, Turning
On/Off Program ChannelLock) any change inTV channel
will require theinput of password.
Automatic Search
1. Press SOURCE on the remotecontrol and selectDVB.
2. Press SETUP to enter MainMenu.
3. Select Program Search and Automatic Search, press
to confirm.
5. Select YES if you wantto erase theentire previous channellist,
select NO if you wantto add thenewly scanned channelsto the
existing channel list.
Manual Search
3. Select Channel No, Use toselect channel numberand
press to change.
4. Select OK and press toconfirm. If thischannel dose not
have signal, thePlayer will notlist this channel.
1. Press SETUP to enter MainMenu.
2. Select Program Search and Manual Search, press to
confirm.
NOTE:
Before performing TV channel scanning,make sure thePlayer
is set tothe country in which you are usingthis Player.To set
the country see"Setting Country, Language, GMT,
Time Zone, Program Scheduling."
4. Select OK to start theauto search, themessage appears:
