CAUTION:
Usage of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation
exposure.
This unit should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except qualified service personnel.
PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN MIND:
1. Do not use this device near water.
2. Clean only with a slightly damp cloth.
3. Do not cover or block any ventilation openings. When placing the device on a shelf, leave 5 cm (2”) free space around the
whole device.
4. Install in accordance with the supplied user manual.
5. * Don’t step on or pinch the power adaptor. Be very careful, particularly near the plugs and the cable’s exit point. Do not place
heavy items on the power adaptor, which may damage it. Keep the entire device out of children’s reach! When playing with
the power cable, they can seriously injure themselves.
6. * Unplug this device during lightning storms or when unused for a long period.
7. Keep the device away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, candles and other heat-generating products or
naked flame.
8. Avoid using the device near strong magnetic fields.
9. Electrostatic discharge can disturb normal usage of this device. If so, simply reset and restart the device following the
instruction manual. During file transmission, please handle with care and operate in a static-free environment.
10. Warning! Never insert an object into the product through the vents or openings. High voltage flows through the product and
inserting an object can cause electric shock and/or short circuit internal parts. For the same reason, do not spill water or liquid
on the product.
11. Do not use in wet or moist areas such as bathrooms, steamy kitchens or near swimming pools.
12. Do not use this device when condensation may occur.
13. Although this device is manufactured with the utmost care and checked several times before leaving the factory, it is still
possible that problems may occur, as with all electrical appliances. If you notice smoke, an excessive build-up of heat or any
other unexpected phenomena, you should disconnect the plug from the main power socket immediately.
14. This device must operate on a power source as specified on the specification label. If you are not sure of the type of power
supply used in your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
15. * The socket outlet must be installed near the equipment and must be easily accessible.
16. * Do not overload ac outlets or extension cords. Overloading can cause fire or electric shock.
17. * Devices with class 1 construction should be connected to a main socket outlet with a protective earthed connection.
18. * Devices with class 2 construction do not require a earthed connection.
19. Keep away from rodents. Rodents enjoy biting on power cords.
20. * Always hold the plug when pulling it out of the main supply socket. Do not pull the power cord. This can cause a short circuit.
21. Avoid placing the device on any surfaces that may be subject to vibrations or shocks.
22. To clean the device, use a soft dry cloth. Do not use solvents or petrol based fluids. To remove severe stains, you may use a
damp cloth with dilute detergent.
23. The supplier is not responsible for damage or lost data caused by malfunction, misuse, modification of the device or battery
replacement.
24. Do not interrupt the connection when the device is formatting or transferring files. Otherwise, data may be corrupted or lost.
25. If the unit has USB playback function, the usb memory stick should be plugged into the unit directly. Don’t use an usb
extension cable because it can cause interference resulting in failing of data.
26. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and make sure that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, are
placed on or near the apparatus.
27. * To completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains, as the
disconnect device is the mains plug of apparatus.
28. If the unit works with battery, Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
29. Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
30. The apparatus can only be used in moderate extremely cold or climates warm environments should be avoided.
31. The rating label has been marked on the bottom or back panel of the apparatus.
32. This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or a lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they’re under supervision or have received instructions about the correct use of the device
by the person who is responsible for their safety.
33. This product is intended for non professional use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
34. Make sure the unit is adjusted to a stable position. Damage caused by using this product in an unstable position or by failure to

INSTALLATION
•Unpack all parts and remove protective material.
•*Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the mains voltage and before all other connections have been made.
*Those instruction are related only to products using power cable or AC power adaptor.

Remote Control Operation
A CR2025 battery is already installed in the remote control unit. Before using, pull out the battery insulation sheet as shown below.

To replace a new battery, please refer to the figure shown below. When inserting a battery, be sure to do so in the proper direction.
•If the remote control conflicts with other devices, the operation will be affected.
•Do not simultaneously press buttons on the unit and the remote control.
•Avoid using two remote controls at the same time as it will cause a malfunction.
•Use only CR-2025 size batteries.
•If there is battery leakage, clean the remote control thoroughly before replacing batteries.
•Do not short two terminals of the batteries. Dispose old batteries in a suitable place.
BASIC OPERATION
To turn on the unit, set the POWER switch on the rear panel to the ON position. The display will be turned on.
To turn off the unit, set the POWER switch to the OFF “O” position.
Source Selection
When the display is showing Source A group status, letter “A” will be displayed as shown below.
Press the [MODE] button to select different sources. Source A group includes:
•FM
•USB A
•MICRO SD
•BT A
CR2025 battery
Battery case
Pull out the battery case
Push in according to this direction

When the display is showing Source B group status, letter “B” will be displayed as shown below.
Press the [MODE] button to select different sources. Source B group includes:
•USB B
•BT B
•LINE IN
To toggle between Source A group and Source B group, press the [SOURCE A/B] button or long press the [A/B/100+] button on the
remote control.
Master Volume Control (16)
Turn the [- VOLUME +] knob on the unit to change the master volume.
In addition press remote control VOL +/- button to further adjust the A and B source volume level. For example when you select
source A with “A” displayed, press the remote control VOL +/- buttons to change the source A sound level. Or when you change to
source B with “B” displayed, press the remote control VOL +/- buttons will change the source B sound level.
DJ Mixing Relative Volume Control
Turn the unit’s DJ MIXER LEVEL knob(2) to change the audio source A and B DJ mixing level
Alternatively you can press remote control VOL -/VOL + buttons to individually change the source A and source B volume level. For
example when you select source A with “A” displayed, press the remote control VOL -/+ buttons to change the source A sound level.
Or when you change to source B with “B” displayed, press the remote control VOL -/+ buttons will change the source B sound level.
NOTE: The mastervolume setting of (16) is the max. volume of the A and B source!
Speaker Lighting and Floor Lighting ON/OFF
Press the [ ] button (or press and hold the [0/] button on the remote control) to turn on the lighting. To turn off, press the button
again.
Note: In order to ensure the best FM reception, the speaker and floor lighting will automatically be turn off when the FM mode is
selected. Pressing the [ ] button (or press and hold the [0/ ] button on the remote control) will have no function.
Adjusting the Antenna
The antenna wire at the top panel of the unit should be unwind, extended and altered to ensure a good FM reception.
FM RADIO OPERATION
Turn on the unit and press [MODE] button until it is in FM mode (a small FM symbol will be lit on the display). The FM antenna wire
at the unit’s rear panel should be extended and altered to ensure a good FM reception.
Manual search FM frequencies
Longpress the [A PREVIOUS ] (4) or [A NEXT ] (6) to scan to the next station found
Shortpress the [A PREVIOUS ] (4) or [A NEXT ] (6) to fine tune
Auto Scan (5)
Press and hold the [SCAN] button to start auto-scanning and saving the available stations
Recall FM Presets
Press the [A PREVIOUS ] or [A NEXT ] to tune to different preset channel.

USB/MICRO SD CARD OPERATION
Reading and Playing USB Device (or Micro SD Card)
Insert an USB device into the USB A input jack. It will automatically go to USB A mode. After initial reading, the playback will start
automatically.
Insert a Micro SD card into the MICRO SD slot. It will automatically go to Card mode. After reading, the playback will start
automatically.
Play/Pause Control
To pause playback press the [A ] button. Press the button again to resume playback.
Skip Track
Press the [A PREVIOUS ] or [A NEXT ] button to search to the previous or next track.
Repeat Play
During playback press the button once, the display shows “ALL”. All tracks will be played repeatedly.
When pressing the button again, the display shows “rdO”. All tracks will be played in random sequence.
When pressing the button again, the display shows “OnE”. The current track will be played repeatedly.
When pressing the button again, the display shows “FOd. All tracks in the folder will be played repeatedly.
When pressing the button again, the display shows “OFF”. The unit will resume to normal playback without any repeat operation.
Folder Up/Down
Press & hold the [A PREVIOUS ] or [A NEXT ] button will change to go to the folder down or up operation.
Note: For the USB B, the operation is similar as USB A, but USB B is controlled by the [B ], [B PREVIOUS ] and B NEXT ]
buttons.
BLUETOOTH AUDIO
Please follow the pairing instructions below to link the PMX-160 unit to your Bluetooth device.
1. Press the [MODE] button repeatedly to enter the Bluetooth mode. The display will show “bLUE” with a small letter “A” turned on
as well. The display will flash and start searching.
2. If the unit has never been paired with a Bluetooth device before or cannot find the last paired device, the display and the
Bluetooth status indicator will keep on flashing. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your device and scan for new devices until
“Lenco PMX-160_A” is found. Select “Lenco PMX-160_A” on the Bluetooth device to make connection. Enter the pass code
“0000” if required.
3. After successfully paired the unit will display steady “bLUE”.
4. You can now start playing music from your smartphone wirelessly to the speaker.
5. You can press the [A ] button to pause or resume the playback.
6. You can press the [A PREVIOUS ] or [A BT NEXT ] button to search to the previous or next song.
To connect the second Bluetooth device:
1. Press the [BT A/B] button to enter the Bluetooth B mode. The display will show “bLUE” with a small letter “B” turned on as well.
The display will flash and start searching.
2. If the unit has never been paired with a Bluetooth device before or cannot find the last paired device, the display and the
Bluetooth status indicator will keep on flashing. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your device and enable the search until “Lenco
PMX-160_B” is found. Select “Lenco PMX-160_B” on the Bluetooth device to make connection. Enter the pass code “0000” if
required.
3. After successfully paired the unit will display steady “bLUE”.
4. You can now start playing music from your smartphone wirelessly to the speaker.
5. You can press the [B ] button to pause or resume the playback.
6. You can press the [B PREVIOUS ] or [B BT NEXT ] button to search to the previous or next song.
Note:
To disconnect the current Bluetooth connection and pair another Bluetooth device, select de Bluetooth connection A or B with the BT
A/B button and longpress the [A ] button to disconnect Bluetooth connection A or longpress the [B ] button to disconnect
Bluetooth connection B. Now you can search for new BT devices on your other BT player device and search for “Lenco PMX-160_A” or
“Lenco PMX-160_B” as desired.
LINE IN
This allows you to connect an external player’s sound through your unit.
1. You need to plug in a 3.5mm audio cable (included) first into the unit’s LINE IN terminal.

2. It will activate the LINE IN mode automatically and the display shows “LINE”
3. Start your external player to play music.
4. Now you will hear the music from your external sound source
Note: If no sound can be heard, check the volume of your external player and the volume of the PMX-160
MICROPHONE IN (SING-A-LONG KARAOKE)
You can plug in the microphone to enjoy the Karaoke function. Plug the 6.3mm terminal type microphone (supplied) into the MIC 1 or
MIC 2 input jack. Turn the [- MIC VOL +] knob to change the micophone input sound level. Turn the [- MIC ECHO +] knob to change
the echo level of the micophone karaoke. Please ensure that the microphone should be placed at a proper distance away from the
unit’s speaker to avoid any howling sound.
When the microphone is plugged, you can press and hold the [MIC PRIORITY] button to enhance the microphone input human voice
effect. Press and hold the [MIC PRIORITY] button again to resume normal
MIC Priority means
EQ OPERATION
The PMX-160 is equiped with an EQ sound function. The EQ function is only available in USB, Micro SD card and Bluetooth modes. It
is not available in radio and Aux in mode. Pressing the [EQ] button will change to different sound effects
(Normal/Pop/Rock/Jazz/Classic/Cut).
BASS BOOST
You can also boost the bass effect of the music. Turn the [- BASS +] knob to change the bass effect.
DJ SOUND MIX EFFECT
The unit provides you a DJ sound mixing function. Different sound sources can mix together. Their relative mixing sound level can
freely be adjusted. Sound sources are divided into 2 groups, A and B as listed below.
Source A group, which includes:
•FM
•USB A
•MICRO SD CARD
•BT A
Source B group, which includes:
•USB B
•BT B
•LINE IN
Audio source selected from group A will mix with audio source selected in group B. For example when you are playing a music on USB
A, you can plug into another USB device into the USB B terminal. Then USB B will start automatically and mix with USB A to play. Turn
the [DJ MIXER] knob to change their relative mixing sound level. For instance turn the [DJ MIXER] knob in the direction marked “B
MAX.”, the source B will have a more sound level. Similarly if you turn the [DJ MIXER] knob in the direction marked “A MAX.”, the
sound level of source A will increase.
Alternatively you can set the audio source A and B volume level individually. For example when you select source A with “A”
displayed, press the remote control VOL -/+ buttons to change the source A sound level. When you change to source B with “B”
displayed, press the remote control VOL -/+ buttons will change the source B sound level.
Note: When FM is DJ sound mixed with any source B music, turning the [DJ MIXER] knob will only change the source B volume level.
When mixing, the FM sound can not be changed and will remain the same level.
ENERGY SAVING
Due to ErP stage 2 requirement and protect the environment, the unit will turn off to the standby mode automatically once no music
has been playing for about 15 minutes.
When the unit has powered off due to ErP, pressing the STANDBY button will turn the unit on again.

Trouble Shooting
No power
•Ensure that the mains cable is securely connected.
•Ensure that the units power switch is set to on.
The remote control does not function
•Use the remote control in a shorter distance to the unit.
•Point the remote control at the remote control sensor on the unit.
•Replace the batteries in the remote control with new ones.
•Remove any obstacles between the remote control and the unit.
The unit does not respond when pressing any buttons.
•Remove the batteries from the remote control and remove the powercord of the PMX-160 for a minute. Then reinsert the
batteries and replug the powercord
No sound output
•Turn up the volume with VOL+ or turn the master volume knob clockwise: Do not forget that the master volume knob on the unit
sets the maximum volume output! The volume buttons on the remote control will adjust the volume up to the maximum volume
set by the master volume knob.
•make sure that the [DJ MIXER] knob is turned in the desired direction A or B
I can’t find the Bluetooth name of this unit on my Bluetooth device for Bluetooth pairing
•Ensure that the unit is switched on.
•Ensure that the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth device.
•Ensure the BT player device is within 10 meters of your PMX-160
FM reception
•Ensure the antenna wire is fully extended.
•Electrical interference in your home can cause poor reception. Move the unit away from them (especially those with motors and
transformers).
The unit switches off automatically during play
•Increase the volume level of your connected sound source (DVD player/TV etc.)
Sound interference coming from the speakers in Speakers
•Move any wireless devices (mobile phone, bluetooth device etc.) away from the unit.

20. *Houd altijd de stekker vast wanneer u deze uit het stopcontact trekt. Trek nooit aan de voedingskabel. Dit kan tot een
kortsluiting leiden.
21. Vermijd om het toestel te plaatsen op een ondergrond die blootgesteld kan worden aan trillingen of schokken.
22. Gebruik een zacht, droog doekje om het apparaat te reinigen. Gebruik geen oplosmiddelen of op benzine gebaseerde
vloeistoffen. U kunt een vochtig doekje met verdund schoonmaakmiddel gebruiken om hardnekkige vlekken te verwijderen.

corrupt of verloren raken.
25. Indien het apparaat een USB-afspeelfunctie heeft, moet de USB-geheugenstick rechtstreeks op het apparaat worden
aangesloten. Gebruik geen USB-verlengkabel, omdat die kan leiden tot storingen met foutieve gegevens als gevolg.
26. Het apparaat mag niet worden blootgesteld aan druppels of spatten en zorg ervoor dat er geen met vloeistof gevulde
voorwerpen, zoals vazen, op of nabij het apparaat zijn geplaatst.

•Pak alle onderdelen uit en verwijder de beschermende materialen.
