Shortcircuit mayresultfromdirect connection ofthe positivepoleand
the negativepoleofthebatterybymetalobjects,suchasacoin,pen,
orpaperclip, sokeep thebatteryawayfrommetalobjects.
Keep metalcontactsand the batteryclean.
Neverusedamaged orexhausted batteries.
Replacethe batterywhenitfails tomeettheperformance
requirements.Abatterycan be recharged forhundredsoftimesuntil
replacementisnecessary.Asconsumergoods,abatterycan be
charged and discharged forhundredsoftimes,butitscapacitywill
decreasegradually.Ifyou noticeasignificantdecreaseinoperation
time(talktimeand standbytime),itis probablytimetobuyanew
battery.

performance.

Donotthrowyourbatteryintowater,otherwiseinternalshortcircuit
mayoccur, whichwillmakethe batteryheat,fume, deform, damageor
even explode.
Disposeofbatteries(e.g.recycling)inline withregulations.Donot
disposeofbatteriesashouseholdgarbagetoavoidexplosion or
pollution.
•The batterycan onlyuseadedicated charger, and timeforcontinuous
charging is not allowed toexceed 12 hours.

2. Installation and charging
2.1Installbattery
Follow the stepsbelow toinstall battery:
Align the batterymetalcontact withthe batterycompartment metal
contact inorderfromleft toright, asshowninthe figurebelow. Insert
batteryintothebatterycompartment inthe direction of arrow asshown
inthe figurebelow;
Placethe batterycovergentlyintothe slot on thephone body;
Pushthe batterycovergentlyuntil it fitswell intothe phonebody.
2.2Removebattery
Follow the stepsbelow toremovebattery:
Inorderfromleft toright asshowninthe figurebelow: pushthe battery
coverawayforabout3mm inthe direction ofarrow, andthen lift upthe
batterycoveruntil it is completelyseparated fromthe phonebody;
Removethe battery.

Note:Beforeremoving thebattery,makesureyourphoneis
powered off and externalpowersupplyis removed.Never
removethe batterywhenyourphone is poweredon.Otherwise,
SIMcardand yourphonemaybe damaged.
2.3Chargebattery
Press the chargerinterfaceandinsertthechargerintothecharging
port of the mobilephoneasindicated below:
Note: Operatecarefully. Donot trytopull the chargerout of the
charging interfacebyforcetoavoidpossibledamage tothe
phone orthe charger.
•The batterysupplied withyourmobilephone mustbe fullycharged
priortouse.

•DonotremovethebatteryorSIMcardwhilethebatteryis being
charged.
•Ifthebatteryrunsoutofpower,the phone will be powered off
automatically.
2.4InstallSIMcard
The metalcontact surfaceof the SIMcardscratcheseasily.Sobefore
assembly, it must be taken out cautiously.
Poweroff the phone, and removebatteryand externalpowersupply.
Insert SIMcardintotheSIMcardholderinthe direction of arrow.
2.5RemoveSIMcard
Ifyou need toremovethe SIMcard, switchoff yourphone first, remove
otherexternalpowersupplyand thebattery,andthendrag theSIM
cardholderinthe direction of arrow toremovetheSIMcard.
Removethe batteryand takeout the SIMcardfromthe holder.
Note: The SIMcardis acomputerchipthat containsprotocol
details, securityinformation and personalphonebook.
2.6Install memorycard

YourS62phone supportsamultifunctionalmemorycardin T-FLASH
(MicroSD) format. You can storevideos, photos, pictures, MP3, audio
clipsand otherfileson the memorycard.

Note:Becarefulwheninstalling the memorycard.Excessive
forcemaydamagethememorycardholderorcausefailureto
removethememorycardagain. Ifitis hardtoinsertthememory
card,orifthememorycardis inclined,do notuseexcessive
force, and checkifyourmemorycardis installed correctly.

Asshowninthe figure, removethephone batterycoverand battery, lift
the SD cardholder, put SD cardintothe cardholderinthedirection of
arrow, and thenbuckletheSD cardholdertocompletethe installation
of SD card.
Follow the stepsbelow toremoveSD card:
Asshowninthe figure, afterthe batterycoverand batteryareremoved,
lift the coverslipinthe SD cardholder, and takeout the SD cardinthe
direction of arrow asshowninthe figureabove.
2.7PowerOn/Off
Makesurethebatteryhasbeeninstalled properly. Poweron the phone
and press [End]keyuntil power-on menu appearsonthescreen.
SomeSIMcardsmayhavePIN codeprotection.If thereis aprompt to
inputPINcode,pleaseenteryourPINcode and then press [OK]. The
initialpasswordforPIN codeis 1234.
Ifthe SIMcardinserted is valid,the mobilephonewill automatically
searchavailablenetworkafterbeing poweredon.IftheSIMcardis
invalid, it will indicateno SIMcard.
Topoweroff thephone,holdthe[End]keyuntil thepower-off menu
appears.
2.8Securitypassword
You can usethe access passworddescribed inthissection toprevent
unauthorizeduseofyourSIMcard.
2.8.1PINcode

PINcode is used to preventyourSIMcard fromillegaluse.If the PIN
code protection function is activated, thescreen willdisplaythe prompt
forentering PINcode.IfwrongPINcodesareentered forthree times
insuccession,the SIMcardwill be automaticallylocked.You must
enterPUKcode tounlockthe SIMcard.PIN codeis related totheSIM
cardinstead ofthemobilephone and provided bythe network
operator.
2.8.2PUK code
PUKcode is personalunlocking code used tounlockSIMcardlocked
due toentering wrong PIN codes.Ifwrong PUKcodesareentered for
ten timesinaccumulation, the SIMcardwill becomeinvalid. PUKcode
is provided bythenetworkoperator.
