USING THE VIDEO CAMERA
Recording a Video Clip
You can save up to 31 (typically 29) fifteen-second video clips.
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press OK for REC to start recording.
3. Press OK for STOP to stop recording.
4. When finished recording, press Left Soft Key for Save or Right Soft Key for Erase.
Flipping the Image
Allows you to vertically flip the image when the camera lens is rotated. Use your thumb to rotate the
camera lens towards or away from you.
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Right Soft Key for Options.
3. Select Flip Image (1).
Changing the Brightness
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Right Soft Key for Options.
3. Select Brightness (2).
4. Use the Navigation Key to change the brightness and press OK for SAVE.
Setting the White Balance
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Right Soft Key for Options.
3. Select White Balance (3).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select from Auto, Sunny, Cloudy, Fluorescent or Tungsten and
press OK for SAVE.
Viewing a Saved Video Clip
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Left Soft Key for Gallery.
3. Use the Navigation Key to select a video clip and press OK for VIEW.
Note: While a video clip plays, the Navigation Key may be used to stop, rewind or fast forward.
Renaming a Video Clip
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Left Soft Key for Gallery.
3. Use the Navigation Key to select a video clip and press Right Soft Key for Options.
4. Select Rename (3).
5. Erase the previous image name with the CLR key, enter a new image name and press OK.
Deleting a Video Clip
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Left Soft Key for Gallery.
3. Use the Navigation Key to select a video clip and press Right Soft Key for Options.
4. Select Erase (2).
5. Select Yes (1).

Sending a Video Clip (To an Email Address)
1. Press the Camera/Video Key twice.
2. Press Left Soft Key for Gallery.
3. Use the Navigation Key to select a video clip and press Right Soft Key for Options.
4. Select Send (1).
5. Press Left Soft Key for Add to enter a recipient's email address from the Contacts, Group or Recent
Calls menu or use the Key Pad to enter a new email address. Up to ten recipients can be added.
6. Scroll down using the Navigation Key to enter the Text and Subject you wish to add to the message
and press OK for SEND.
Note: To play video clips sent to an email address, Apple®QuickTime®6.5 or newer is required. To download a
free player or upgrade your existing QuickTime player, go to: www.apple.com/quicktime/download.
During the download process, when asked to choose an installation type (Minimum, Recommended or
Custom) select Minimum for a quicker download.
USING THE CAMERA
Taking a Photo
You can save up to 200 photos in the Pix Gallery.
1. Press the Camera/Video Key.
2. Press OK for TAKE.
3. When finished, press Left Soft Key for SAVE.

1. Press the Camera/Video Key.
2. Press Right Soft Key for Options.
3. Select Self Timer (3).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select from 3 seconds, 5 seconds or 10 seconds and press OK.
5. Press Left Soft Key for Start.
Using the Flash
1. Press the Camera/Video Key.
2. Press Right Soft Key for Options.
3. Select Flash (4).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select On and press OK.
Shortcut: Press the flash button on the left side of the phone after step 1 to turn the flash on or off.
Note: Flash can only be used for taking photos with the rotating lens facing away from the user.

DOWNLOADING GET IT NOW®CONTENT
The new VX7000 by LG can store up to 4.0 MB of content from Get It Now®, a technology and service
that allows you to download and use applications, games, ringtones and more on your phone.
Downloading New Content From Get It Now®
1. From the GET IT NOW menu, select from Get Tunes & Tones (1), Get Pix & Flix (2),
Get Fun & Games (3), Get News & Info (4) or Get Going (5).
2. Select Get New.
3. Once connected, choose the content you wish to download.
Shortcut: While in standby mode, press the Get It Now icon on the Navigation Key to quickly access the
GET IT NOW menu.

ACCESSING THE WEB
The new VX7000 is enabled by the Openwave Browser (WAP 2.0) to access the web.
1. Press up on the Navigation Key to access the web browser.
2. Once the web browser is launched you will see the Home Page.
3. You can end a browser session by pressing END at any time.
TEXT MESSAGES
Send New
1. Press Left Soft Key for Message and select New Txt Msg (1).
2. Press Left Soft Key for Add to enter a recipient from the Contacts, Group or Recent Calls menu or
use the Key Pad to enter a new email address or phone number and press OK. Up to ten recipients
can be added.
3. Scroll down and enter the message (up to 160 characters) using the keypad and press OK for SEND.
MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES

1. Press Left Soft Key for Message and select New Pix Msg (2).
2. Press Left Soft Key for Add to enter a recipient from the Contacts, Group or Recent Calls menu or
use the Key Pad to enter a new email address or phone number* and press OK. Up to ten recipients
can be added.
3. Scroll down and use the Key Pad to enter the Tex t , Pix or Flix, Sounds and Subject you wish to add
to the message and press OK for SEND.
*Video clips can only be sent to email addresses at this time.
CUSTOMIZING THE DISPLAY SETTINGS
Changing the Banner
Allows you to enter a string of characters (up to 15) to be displayed on the Main or Front LCD.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Display (3).
2. Select Banner (1).
3. Select Main LCD (1) or Front LCD (2).
4. Enter the desired greeting and press OK for SAVE.
Changing the Backlight Timer
Allows you to select the duration the backlight is on for the displays.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Display (3).
2. Select Backlight (2).
3. Select Main LCD (1) or Front LCD (2).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select from 7 Seconds, 15 Seconds, 30 Seconds, Always On or Always
Off and press OK.
Adjusting the Front LCD Contrast
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Display (3).
2. Select Front Contrast (3).
3. Use the Navigation Key to adjust the contrast and press OK for SAVE.

Changing the Wallpaper
Allows you to change the background image on the Main or Front LCD.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Display (3).
2. Select Wallpaper (4).
3. Select Main LCD (1) or Front LCD (2).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select an image and press OK.
Changing the Display Themes
Allows you to choose the color of the background screen.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Display (3).
2. Select Display Themes (5).
3. Use the Navigation Key to select from Default, Business, Tropical or Blue and press OK.
Changing the Font Size
Allows you to set the font size.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Display (3).
2. Select Fonts (6).
3. Use the Navigation Key to select from Normal or Large and press OK.

Changing the Master Volume
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Sounds (2).
2. Select Master Volume (1).
3. Use Navigation Key to select from High, Medium High, Medium, Medium Low, Low, Vibrate Only,
Alarm Only or Sounds Off and press OK for SET.
Changing the Call Sounds
Allows you to set ring tones for different types of incoming calls.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Sounds (2).
2. Select Call Sounds (2).
3. Select Call Ringtone (1).
4. Select from Caller ID (1), No Caller ID (2), Restrict Calls (3) or All Calls (4).
5. Use the Navigation Key to select a call ringtone and press OK.
Changing the Alert Sounds
Allows you to select the alert type for a new message.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Sounds (2).
2. Select Alert Sounds (3).
3. Select from Pix (1), Txt (2), Voice (3), Email (4), Page (5), Alert Vibrate (6) or 2-Min Reminder (7).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select an alert tone and press OK.
CALL SETUP
Allows you to designate how the phone handles both incoming and outgoing calls.
Answer Options
Allows you to determine how to initiate an answered call.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Call Settings (5).
2. Select Answer Options (1).

Auto Retry
Allows you to set the length of time the phone waits before automatically redialing a number when the
attempted call fails.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Call Settings (5).
2. Select Auto Retry (2).
3. Use the Navigation Key to select from Off, Every 10 seconds, Every 30 seconds, or Every 60
seconds and press OK.
One-Touch Dial
Allows you to initiate a speed dial call by pressing and holding the speed dial digit.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Call Settings (5).
2. Select One-Touch Dial (4).
3. Use the Navigation Key to select from Enable or Disable and press OK.
Auto-Volume
Provides a better audio experience by enabling the Auto Volume feature to control the dynamic range
and volume of the sending and receiving voice across different levels of speaker and environments.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Call Settings (5).
2. Select Auto Volume (6).
3. Use the Navigation Key to select from On or Off and press OK.
Voice Dial Prompt
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Call Settings (5).
2. Select Voice Services (8).
3. Select Voice Dial (1).
4. Use the Navigation Key to select from Key Press, Flip Open or Disable and press OK.
Shortcut: While in standby mode, press the Voice Dial Key to quickly activate Voice Dial.
Train Words
An optional personalization feature that helps train your phone to recognize the way you pronounce
commands.
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Call Settings (5).
2. Select Voice Services (8).
3. Select Train Words (2).
4. Select Yes (1) and use the Navigation Key to select Train and press OK.
5. Select OK (1) and follow the voice prompts by clearly speaking the words.
Manner Mode
Use Manner Mode in a public place to disable the ringer and activate Vibration Mode.
1. In the standby mode, activate Manner Mode by pressing the Manner Mode Key (for 3 seconds) -
the phone will vibrate when activated.
2. When set, “-VIBRATE MODE- ACTIVATED” will appear on the screen.
3. To release Manner Mode, press the key until “-NORMAL MODE- ACTIVATED” is displayed.

THE SCHEDULER
The Tools menu allows you to view the calendar, schedule an event, program your handset’s alarm clock
and view and compose memos on the notepad.
Scheduling an Event
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Tools (1).
2. Select Calendar (1).
3. Highlight the event date using your Navigation Key and press Left Soft Key for Add.
4. You may set the appropriate start and end times, title, recurrence (if any), alarm and ringer
by scrolling to the corresponding field and entering the desired information or by pressing the
Left Soft Key for Set and choosing an option.
5. Press OK for SAVE to confirm your selection.
Shortcut: While in standby mode, press the Calendar Key to quickly access the Calendar.
Scheduling an Alarm
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Tools (1).
2. Select Alarm Clock (2).
3. Select from Alarm 1 (1), Alarm 2 (2), Alarm 3 (3) or Quick Alarm (4) and press OK.
4. You may set the appropriate time, recurrence (if any) and ringer by scrolling to the corresponding field
and pressing the Left Soft Key for Set and choosing an option.
5. Press OK for SAVE to confirm your selection.
Composing a Notepad Memo
1. From the SETTINGS & TOOLS menu, select Tools (1).
2. Select Notepad (5).
3. Press Left Soft Key for Add.
4. Enter your memo using the keypad and press OK for SAVE.
RECENT CALLS
Recent Calls logs your most recent 30 missed, received and dialed calls. Only the most recent duplicate
call is logged in the Dialed Calls.
Making a Call From Recent Calls
1. From the RECENT CALLS menu, select from Missed (1), Received (2), Dialed (3) or All (4).
2. Use the Navigation Key to select the desired entry and press SEND to connect.
CONTACTS
The internal phone book is capable of storing up to 500 contacts with up to 5 numbers and 2 email
addresses per entry.
Adding a New Contact Entry
1. From the CONTACTS menu, select New Contact (1).
2. Enter the name for the entry.
3. Scroll down with the Navigation Key to enter a phone number or email address in the optional fields
(Mobile 1, Home, Work, Email 1, Mobile 2,Email 2 or Fax).
4. Select a group to add the contact to by pressing Left Soft Key for Set. Press OK when done.
5. Press OK for SAVE.
Shortcut: While in standby mode, press the Right Soft Key to access the CONTACT LIST menu.

One-Touch Speed Dialing
Enables you to dial 98 of your most frequently used numbers using a single key. These numbers are
stored in your phone book in memory locations 2 through 99. For locations 2 through 9, you can use
one-touch dialing, and for locations 10 through 99, you can use two-touch dialing by pressing and
holding the corresponding key(s) to the memory location to be dialed or press a digit, then press SEND.
1. From the CONTACTS menu, select Speed Dials (4).
2. Select or enter a slot number and press OK for SET.
3. Select a name from the list using the Navigation Key and press OK.
4. Select a number from the entry and press OK.
5. Select Yes (1).
Voice Dials
Allows you to view the list of numbers that have been programmed with voice dialing or to add a voice
dial tag to a number in the phone book.
1. From the CONTACTS menu, select Voice Dials (5).
2. Press Left Soft Key for New and use the Navigation Key to select a contact to add a voice dial tag to
and press OK.
3. Select a number from the entry and press OK.
4. Press OK to record the voice dial tag by following the phone’s prompts.
Note: Recordings should be made in a quiet place using a clear voice. Hands-free car kits or headsets
should be avoided when recording.
UNIQUE CALL OPTIONS
The Actions menu may be accessed during a call by pressing Right Soft Key for Options.
