Overview
The LINDY USB Bidirectional Printer Cable allows your PC to print to
anyparallel printer device connected through the USB port. Just plug
the USB connector of the cable into the USB port of your PC and the
other end into the centronics connector of the parallel printer. The USB
Bidirectional Printer Cable also provides true plug&play and hot-plug
capability – simply plug in the cable under the Windows operating
system and the cable will be instantlydetected.

Driver Installation
Power on your computer and plug in the USB Bidirectional Printer
Cable into the USB port. Windows will detect the IEEE-1284 device and
run the Add New Hardware Wizard to assist you in setting up the new
device. Click Next to continue. Insert the USB Bidirectional Printer
Cable driver diskette into the floppy drive and click Next to continue.
Click Search for the best driver for your device and click tosearch
driver from the floppy disk drive. Windows will detect the driver
(U2PAR.INF) and shows the USB to Parallel Port Converter device.
Click Next to continue installation. When Windows finished installing
the software required for the new USB to Parallel Port Converter
device, click Finish.
Setting Up the Printer Device
Turn off your printer and plug the centronics connector of the USB
Bidirectional Printer Cable into your printer. Turn on your printer and
computer and plug the USB connector of the USB Bidirectional Printer
Cable into the USB port. If you have already installed a printer device
before, click Start, Settings, Printers. Right-click the default installed
printer and click on Properties. Click the Details folder tab and change
the printer port to LPT2: (USB to Parallel Port). If you do not have a
printer installed yet, click on Start, Settings, Printers, Add Printer. The
Add Printer Wizard will start. Select the printer manufacturer and
model name from the list provided by the wizard or use the printer
driver diskette supplied with your printer. When prompted which port
the printer will use, click on LPT2: USB to Parallel Port.

Übersicht
Mit dem bidirektionalen LINDY USB Druckerkabel können Sie von
Ihrem PC aus über den USB Port auf jedem Drucker mit paralleler
Schnittstelle drucken. Verbinden Sie den USB-Stecker des Kabels mit
dem USB-Port des PCs und den Centronicsstecker mit dem Drucker.
Das USB Druckerkabel ist Plug&Play- sowieHot-Plug-fähig. Wenn Sie
das Kabel anschließen wird es unter Windows automatisch erkannt.

Treiberinstallation
Schalten Sie Ihren Computer ein und schließen Sie das USB
Druckerkabel am USB Port an. Windows wird das IEEE-1284-Device
erkennen und automatisch den Hardwareassistenten starten. Klicken
Sie auf „Weiter“. Legen Sie die Treiberdiskette ein und klicken Sie auf
„Weiter“. Wählen Sie „Nach dem besten Treiber für das Gerät suchen“
und suchen auf der Diskette. Windows wird den Treiber U2PAR.INF
finden und das USB to Parallel Port Converter-Device zeigen. Klicken
Sie auf “Weiter”um mit der Installation fortzufahren. Wenn Windows
die erforderliche Software installiert hat, klicken Sie zum Beenden auf
„Fertig stellen“.
Anschlußdes Druckers
Schalten Sie Ihren Drucker aus und schließen Sie den Centronics-
anschlußdes USB Druckerkabels an den Drucker an. Schalten Sie den
Drucker und den Computer ein und stecken Sie den USB-Stecker des
USB Druckerkabels in den USB-Port des PC. Wenn Sie den Drucker
bereits vorher installiert hatten, klicken Sie auf „Start“, „Einstellungen“,
„Drucker“, mit der rechten Maustaste auf den bereits installierten
Drucker, dann auf „Eigenschaften“, „Details“und „Anschlußfür die
Druckausgabe“. Ändern Sie den Druckeranschlußin LPT2: (USB to
Parallel Port). Falls Sie noch keinen Drucker installiert hatten klicken
Sie auf auf „Start“, „Einstellungen“, „Drucker“und „Drucker hinzufügen“.
Der Druckerassistent wird automatisch starten und Sie können aus
einer Liste einen Hersteller und ein Modell auswählen. Oder Sie greifen
auf die Treiberdiskette Ihres Durckers zurück. Als Druckeranschluß
wählen Sie LPT2: (USB to Parallel Port).

Introduction
Le câble LINDY USB Bidirectionnel vous permettra d’imprimer sur une
imprimante parallèle àpartir du port USB de votre PC. Il vous suffit de
connecter une extremitédu câble au port USB de votre PC et l’autre à
votre imprimante. Le câble USB est Plug&Play et sera instantanément
reconnu sous Windows 98.

Installation du pilote
Allumez votre ordinateur et connectez-y le câble USB Bidirectionnel.
Windows va détecter le périphérique IEEE-1284 et lancer l’assistant
d’ajout de périphériques pour vous permettre de bien rajouter le
nouveau périphérique. Cliquez sur Suivant pour continuer. Insérez la
disquette de pilotes dans votre lecteur et cliquez sur suivant.
Cliquez sur Rechercher le meilleur pilote pour ce périphérique et
cliquez sur recherche àpartir de la disquette.
Windows va detecter le pilote (U2PAR.INF) et affichera le
Convertisseur USB àParallèle. Cliquez Suivant pour poursuivre
l’installation. Lorsque Windows a terminél’installation du nouveau
périphérique, choisissez Terminer.
Installation de l’imprimante
Eteignez votre imprimante et connectez le connecteur centronics du
convertisseur USB Bidirectionnel àvotre imprimante. Allumez votre
ordinateur et connectez la partie USB àvotre ordinateur. Si vous aviez
auparavant déjàinstalléune imprimante, modifiez les paramètres du
port pour le réglage en LPT2: (USB àPort Parallèle). Si vous n’aviez
pas installéd’imprimantes avant, choisissez Installation d’une nouvelle
imprimante, l’assistant d’ajout d’imprimantes va démarrer. Sélectionnez
un modèle d’imprimante correspondant àla votre ou insérez le pilote
fourni par le constructeur de votre imprimante. Lorsque l’ordinateur
vous demandera de sélectionner un port, cliquez sur
LPT2: USB to Parallel Port.

Il cavo stampante USB bidirezionale della LINDY permette ai Vostri PC
di stampare su ogni stampante parallela connessa alla porta USB.
Basta solo inserire il connettore USB del cavo nella porta USB del
Vostro PC e l’altra estremitàdel cavo nella porta Centronics della
stampante parallela. Il cavo stampante bidirezionale USB èplug&play e
hot-plug compatibile –semplicemente installate il cavo sotto il sistema
operativo Windows e lo stesso verràsubito riconosciuto.

Installazione Driver
Accendete il Vostro computer ed inserite il cavo stampante USB nella
porta USB. Windows troveràla periferica IEEE-1284 e attiverà
Aggiungi nuovo harware per assistervi nel settaggio della nuova
periferica. Cliccare Avanti per continuare. Inserire il dischetto del driver
del il cavo stampante USB bidirezionale e cliccare Avanti per
continuare. Cliccare Ricerca miglior driver e cliccare Ricercare
driver dal floppy disk drive. Windows troveràil driver (U2PAR.INF) e
mostreràl’USB alla Parallel Port Converter. Cliccare per continuare
l’installazione. Quando Windows avràfinito d’installare il software
richiesto per il nuovo USB a Parallel Port Converter, cliccare Fine.
Settaggio della stampante
Spegnete la Vostra stampante ed inserite il connettore centronics del
cavo stampante USB nella porta della stampante Riavviatete
stampante e computer ed inserite il connettore USB del cavo nella
porta USB. Se avete giàinstallato una stampante in precedenza,
cliccate Start, Impostazioni, Stampanti. Cliccate sulla stampante
installata di default e quindi su Proprietà. Cliccate su Dettagli e
cambiate la porta stampante in LPT2: (USB a Parallel Port). Se non
avete una stampante giàinstallata, cliccate su Start, Impostazioni,
Stampanti, Aggiungi stampante. L’Add Printer Wizard inizierà.
Selezionare il produtore, la stampante dalla lista proposta dal wizard o
usate il dischetto driver della stampante. Quando viene suggerita
quale porta dovràusare la stampante, cliccate su LPT2: USB a
