Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY Fibre Optic HDMI Hybrid Cable This Cable allows you to transmit
HDMI signals up to a distance of 50m. This cable is a hybrid cable containing both fibre optic and copper
cores.
To extend signals over 50m we provide multiple solutions both with and without IR support and up to
3000m. Please go to www.lindy.com to view our extensive range.

Installation and Operation
The minimum bending radius of the hybrid cable is approximately 4cm / 1 5 inch, never bend the
cable to a smaller radius because this would irreversibly destroy the cable
Never step on the cable or put any heavy pressure on to the cable
The maximum tensile load to the cable is 50N (5kg) Never pull the cable with higher load
This cable can be used in only one direction. The connectors are labelled “SOURCE” and
“DISPLAY”. Each connector must be plugged in to the correct port to avoid display issues.
The connectors include electronic chipsets that require ~250mA of power. Your HDMI device
should be able to provide enough power but when additional power is required you may need
to use a HDMI power injector cable. Please see the LINDY website for more details on this.
Connect the cable to your devices first before powering on your display and source to
complete the installation.

HDCP, ohne HDCP Unterstützung bis 3000m).

Der minimale Biegeradius des Hybridkabels beträgt ca 4cm Biegen Sie das Kabel NIEMALS mit
einem kleineren Radius und knicken Sie das Kabel NIEMALS, dies zerstört das Kabel irreversibel!
Treten Sie niemals auf das Kabel und stellen Sie keine schweren Gegenstände auf das Kabel
Die maximale Zugkraft beträgt 50N Ziehen Sie NIEMALS mit höherer Kraft an dem Kabel
Dies Kabel überträgt HDMI Signale AUSSCHLIEßLICH in einer Richtung, der Stecker, der an die HDMI
Signalquelle angeschlossen wird trägt die Bezeichnung SOURCE, der andere Stecker DISPLAY.
Die Stecker enthalten opto-elektronische Transceiver Chips die mit Strom versorgt werden müssen. In
den meisten Fällen reicht dafür die von den angeschlossenen Geräten über die HDMI-Schnittstellen
bereit gestellte Stromversorgung aus. In den anderen Fällen muss ein HDMI
Stromeinspeisungsadapter z.B. Nr. 41080 zusammen mit einem 5VDC (> 250mA) Netzteil z.B. Nr.
73350 angeschlossen werden. Diese Art der Stromeinspeisung kann auch verwendet werden um zwei
dieser Kabel zu kaskadieren bis maximal 100m.
Schließen Sie das Kabel an die Geräte an und schalten Sie alles ein um die Installation abzuschließen.

50m. Il est composé de fibres optiques ainsi que de fils de liaisons en cuivre.
Pour de plus grandes longueurs les extenders fibre optique HDMI LINDY suivant sont disponibles : jusqu’à
300m, N° Art. 38003 avec prise en charge IR ou N°Art 38170 sous forme de connecteur sans prise en
charge IR et jusqu’à 700m, N° Art.38063 (avec HDCP, sans HDCP jusqu’à 3000m).

La tension maximale admise sur le câble est de 50N N’appliquez jamais une tension supérieure
Ce câble ne peut être utilisé que dans une direction. La prise à connecter côté source HDMI est labellisé
SOURCE, le second est identifié par le marquage DISPLAY.
Les prises comprennent un convertisseur optoélectronique qui nécessite une alimentation. Dans la
plupart des cas, l’alimentation peut être fournie par la source HDMI. Dans les autres cas, un injecteur
d’alimentation HDMI comme le N°Art.41080 associé à une alimentation 5VDC (>250mA) comme le
N°Art.73350 pourront être ajouté sur la liaison HDMI. Ce procédé d’alimentation pourra être
également utilisé pour cascader deux de ces câbles, jusqu’à 100m maximum.
Connectez le câble aux appareils et allumez l’écran et la source pour terminer l’installation.

Grazie per aver scelto il cavo LINDY HDMI fibra ottica ibrido Questa particolare tipologia di cavo grazie
alla sua struttura ibrida fibra ottica / rame consente di trasmettere segnali HDMI fino ad una distanza di
50m.
Per raggiungere distanze fino a 300m potete utilizzare l’extender LINDY HDMI su fibra ottica con supporto
IR art. 38003 o la versione per lunghe distanze ma senza supporto IR art. 38063 che raggiunge i 700m (con
supporto HDCP, con segnali senza HDCP può raggiungere i 3000m).

Il raggio di curvatura minimo del cavo è di 4cm, piegarlo ulteriormente potrebbe danneggiare in
modo irreversibile il cavo stesso

Il carico di trazione massimo del cavo è di 50N Non tirare mai il cavo con un carico superiore
Questo cavo può essere utilizzato solo in una direzione. Il connettore da inserire nella sorgente HDMI
è contrassegnato come “SOURCE” mentre quello da collegare al monitor come “DISPLAY”
I connettori hanno al loro interno dei chipset opto-elettronici che necessitano di essere alimentati con
una corrente minimo di ~250mA. Nella maggior parte questa corrente viene fornita dalle porte HDMI
a cui sono connessi. In alcuni casi l’alimentazione va invece fornita esternamente utilizzando un cavo
alimentatore HDMI acquistabile separatamente come il nostro art. 41080 da abbinare ad un
alimentatore (per esempio il LINDY art.73350 in versione Euro o l’art. 73355 in versione Multicountry).
Questa soluzione di alimentazione può anche essere utilizzata per collegare in cascata due di questi
cavi ibridi.
Collegate il cavo ai dispositivi ed alimentate sorgente e monitor per completare l’installazione.
