Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the USB 2.0 Active Cable. This
product has been designed to provide trouble free, reliable
operation. It benefits from both a Lindy 2 year warranty and free
lifetime technical support. To ensure correct use, please read
this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.
The Lindy USB 2.0 Active Cable uses built-in active electronics
to extend the cable length of a USB 2.0 device by an additional
10m/15m whilst continuing to support data transfer rates of up
to 480Mbps. With USB A male and USB B male connectors this
product allows Type B devices like printers to be connected
directly at longer distances and ensures flexible positioning.
The cable's unique and slim design allows easy installation due
to the active electronics that are housed in a small cable mould
- an advantage over other active USB leads which use bulky
connectors.

Installation
Plug the USB Type A plug of the USB 2.0 Active Cable into a
free USB port on the computer. Your computer will recognize
the new hardware and install any required drivers automatically.
Then connect a USB device with the USB Type B male
connector of the USB 2.0 Active Cable.
It is recommended that this extender is used with low power or
self powered USB peripherals and not high power consuming
devices.

Das Lindy USB 2.0 Aktivkabel verwendet aktive Elektronik,
um die Kabellänge eines USB 2.0 Devices um 10m/15m zu
verlängern. Dabei werden weiterhin Datentransferraten bis
480Mbit/s unterstützt. Es verfügt über einen USB-Stecker Typ
A und einen USB-Stecker Typ B und ermöglicht somit den
direkten Anschluss von USB-Geräten mit USB-Buchse Typ B
wie beispielsweise Drucker und eine flexible Positionierung in
größerer Entfernung. Das schlanke Design des Gehäuses
ermöglicht eine Installation auch in räumlich beengten
Verhältnissen.

Installation
Stecken Sie den USB-Stecker Typ A des USB 2.0 Aktivkabels
in einen freien USB Typ A Port des Computers. Der Computer
wird die erforderlichen Treiber automatisch installieren. Dann
schließen Sie das USB-Gerät mit dem USB-Stecker Typ B
des USB 2.0 Aktivkabels an.
Das Aktivkabel wird über den USB Bus mit Strom versorgt
und sollte daher nur mit USB-Geräten mit niedrigem
Stromverbrauch verwendet werden oder mit Geräten, die über
ein eigenes Netzteil verfügen.

Le câble actif USB 2.0 utilise une électronique embarquée qui
permet de déporter un périphérique USB 2.0 de 10m/15m tout
en conservant les taux de transferts jusqu'à 480Mbit/s.
Avec ses connecteurs USB type A mâle et type B mâle, cette
rallonge permet de déporter des périphériques USB tels que
des imprimantes sans perte de vitesse.

Installation
Branchez la prise USB Type A de la rallonge active USB 2.0 à
un port USB libre de votre ordinateur. Celui-ci va reconnaitre
le nouveau matériel et installer les pilotes si nécessaire.
Connectez ensuite un périphérique USB au connecteur USB
Type B mâle du câble active USB 2.0.
Il est recommandé que cette rallonge soit utilisée avec des
périphériques USB peu gourmands en courant, sauf s'ils
possèdent leur propre alimentation externe.

Installazione
Inserire la spina USB tipo A del cavo attivo USB 2.0 in una
porta USB libera del computer. Il computer riconoscerà il
nuovo hardware e installerà automaticamente tutti i driver
necessari. Collegare poi un dispositivo USB al connettore
USB di tipo B maschio del cavo attiva USB 2.0.
Raccomandiamo l'utilizzo di questa prolunga in
combinazione con periferiche USB a basso consumo o
autoalimentate, non con periferiche ad alto consumo.
