This device is a switching type power supply and can work with supply voltages in the range 100 - 240
VAC For worldwide usability four different AC adapters are enclosed: Euro type, UK type, US/Japan type
and Australia/New Zealand type. Use the appropriate AC adapter as shown in the picture and ensure it
is firmly secured in place and does not detach by pulling before installing into a power socket.
To reduce risk of fire, electric shocks, or damage:
▪Do not open the product nor its power supply. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
▪Only qualified servicing personnel may carry out any repairs or maintenance.

Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the 9 Port HDMI 10.2G Multi-view Switch. This product has been designed to
provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2-year warranty and free lifetime
technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future
reference.
The Lindy HDMI 10.2G Multi-view Switch is a high-performance solution for switching between a single or
multiple HDMI source devices and outputting to a single HDMI display or projector. As well as standard
switching betweenupto9 devices, content can beviewed from all connected devices in a varietyof layouts
in the display, ideal for a wide range of scenarios.

Front Panel
▪Power LED –This LED will illuminate once power has been provided to the switch.
▪12VDC In –Connect the included power supply once connected to a mains power outlet.
▪IR –IR receiver window for control using the included IR remote.
▪RS-232 –Connect to a PC for control via the below RS-232 commands. Please use the control
software found at the local Lindy website –38330 –Downloads.
▪Audio –Switch between audio modes.
▪Video –Switch between video modes.
Rear Panel
▪HDMI IN9 –HDMI IN1: Connect up to 9 HDMI source devices using HDMI cables.
▪HDMI Out: Connect to a single HDMI display using HDMI cable.
Side Panel
▪Ethernet: Unused
Installation
1. Ensure all devices are powered off before connection. Once the power supply is connected the Power
LED will illuminate.
2. Connect any required HDMI input devices to the HDMIIN ports. Please consult the “Viewing Modes”
section of this manual to ensure source devices are being displayed in a desirable location.
3. Connect the display to the HDMI Out port using an HDMI cable.
4. Power on all devices.
5. For simple push button control use the Audio & Video switches on the front panel. The video switch
will allow for cycling through the various video modes listed below. The audio switch will allow for
cycling through the connected source device audio as described in the following pages.
6. For IR control, please ensure the IR receiver is in line of sight of the IR remote. For instructions on
the various functions of the IR remote please see the diagram below.
7. For RS-232 control, please connect a PC to the RS-232 port of the switch and open the control
software from the Lindy website. For instructions on RS-232 control please see below.

Viewing Modes
OSD –On screen display
In each of the viewing modes offered by the switch you will see the OSD appear
in the top left of the picture for each input whenever you make a change to the
video channel, viewing mode or audio channel. The OSD will stay on for a few
seconds and then disappear. In the example shown, CH1 is the video channel,
the ♪ icon denotes that the audio source is from CH1 and 1920x1080P is the
resolution of the input video signal.
Video Mode Selection
The various modes can be selected by cycling through using the push button on
the main unit or using the mode button of the IR remote control. The available
video modes are shown below. Cycling through these modes will also allow the
separate inputs to be designated as the main window within each mode.
Audio Mode Selection
Initially the audio channel in use will be the most recently used channel so for example if you switch from
input 1 directly to quad view mode then the audio from input 1 will be used, this is denoted by the ♪ icon
being displayed in the OSD of that input as shown above. Pressing the audio button on the switch or
remote control will switch the audio to the next input with each press and then after input 8 to audio off (no
♪ icon is displayed) before returning to input 1 with the next press e.g. 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 > 6 > 7 > 8 > 9 > Mute
> 1.

Push Button Control
▪The Video push button switch allows the user to cycle through each of the video modes above.
▪The Audio push button switch allows the user to cycle through each of the connected input device’s
audio to be output.

RS-232 Control
Please connect the switch to a PC via the switch’s RS-232 port. Open the control software from your
local Lindy website / 38330 / Downloads.
To start send HEXMODE / 9600 baud. Please see the commands below.

Troubleshooting
There is no audio
•Please check the active audio channel by pressing the audio button on the switch or remote control
until the ♪ icon is present in the correct channel.
Picture is distorted, incomplete, missing colours etc.
•Please check that all HDMI cables are correctly seated in the ports and reboot the connected source
devices.
•Check that video scaling is correctly configured on any connected PC’s graphics card:
