Overview
The LINDY 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switches are a compact desktop or
wall mount design. The base incorporates key hole slots for wall
mounting. The switches use the most recent technology features like
Auto MDI/MDI-X function on all ports and non blocking architecture.

Operating Environment
Do not place any objects on top of the Switch. Do not cover the
vents of the unit. Do not place the units near a heating source.
Ensure good ventilation. For in-house use only.
Temperature 0-55°C, Humidity 10-95% non condensing.
Installation and Use
Connect the power supply to the mains and to the Switch. Connect the
Switch to your network devices using standard patch lead. Auto-
MDI/MDI-X function automatically detects uplink or downlink
connections and automatically configures to the correct pinout. You do
not have to use Crossover Cables for uplink connections.
Please regard that the maximum length of any connection between the
switch and a device is 100m (including all cables). For 100Mbps
connections use at least Cat.5 STP/UTP cables!
Troubleshooting
 Make sure the POWER LED is lit. If not either the power supply or
the switch (or LED) might be faulty. Contact your dealer in this case.
 If you connect any powered device to a port the LINK/Activity LED of
this port should light. If not use another patch cable and check that the
device you have connected is powered on and it’s network port is
active.
 Make sure all network and patch cables are STP or UTP and are not
broken. Make sure any distance between the Switch and a device is
100m or less.

Einsatzbedingungen, Umgebung
Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf den Switch. Stellen Sie den
Switch nicht in die Nähe von Wärmequellen. Sorgen Sie für
ausreichende Belüftung, verdecken Sie nicht die Luftschlitze.
Für die Verwendung in geschlossenen Räumen, Temperatur-
bereich 0-55°C, Feuchtigkeit 10-95% nicht kondensierend.
Installation
Stecken Sie das Steckernetzteil in die Steckdose und verbinden Sie es
mit dem Switch. Schließen Sie dann Ihre Netzwerkgeräte mit LINDY
Patchkabeln an. Die Auto-MDI/MDI-X Funktion macht Cross Over
Patchkabel überflüssig, jeder Port erkennt seinen Gegenpart und
konfiguriert sich automatisch auf das benötigte Pinout, den Linktyp und
die höchstmögliche Geschwindigkeit. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die
Gesamtlänge jeder Verbindung zwischen Switch und Netzwerkdevice
nicht mehr als 100m betragen darf. Für 100Mbps Verbindungen muss
mindestens Patchkabel der Categorie 5 verwendet werden.
Fehlersuche
 Wenn die POWER LED nicht leuchtet ist entweder das Netzteil
oder der Switch (bzw. die LED) defekt. Wenden Sie sich an Ihren
Händler.
 Bei Anschluss eines eingeschalteten Netzwerkdevice an den
Switch sollte die LINK/ACTIVITY LED des Ports aufleuchten. Falls
nicht, verwenden Sie einen anderen Port, ein anderes Patchkabel, und
überprüfen Sie das Gerät welches Sie anschließen wollen.
 Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle verwendeten Patchkabel einwandfrei
und nicht geknickt oder gebrochen sind.

Installation et utilisation
Connectez l’alimentation sur le secteur et ensuite au switch. Connectez

La fonction Auto-MDI/MDI-X détecte automatiquement les connexions

correct. Vous n’avez donc pas besoin d’utiliser de câbles croisés pour
des connexions en cascade.
La longueur de connexion maximale d’une connexion entre un switch
et un périphérique réseau est de 100m (incluant tous les câbles). Pour
des connexions 100Mbits, veuillez utiliser un câble Cat.5 STP/UTP mini
Dépannage
 Assurez-vous de vérifier que la POWER LED est allumée. Si ce n’est
pas le cas, le switch ou son alimentation est défectueuse.
Contactez votre revendeur dans ce cas.
 Si vous connectez un périphérique à un des ports, sa LED doit
s’allumer. Si ce n’est pas le cas, veuillez utiliser un autre câble et
vérifiez que le périphérique connecté soit alimenté et que le port est
actif.

La funzione Auto-MDI/MDI-X riconosce automaticamente il tipo di
connessione da realizzare (Uplink o Downlink) e configura
automaticamente l’utilizzo dei singoli pin del connettore. La lunghezza
massima di un collegamento fra lo switch e un altro apparato è 100m
(inclusi tutti i cavi). Per connessioni a 100Mbits utilizzare almeno cavi
cat.5 STP/UTP.
Soluzioni di eventuali problemi
 Controllate che il LED POWER sia acceso. In caso contrario sia
l’alimentatore che o switch possono essere danneggiati. Contattate il
vostro rivenditore.
 Quando connettete un qualsiasi dispositivo alimentato ad una porta
il LED Link/Activity si deve accendere. Se ciò non accade Provate a
sostituire il cavo e controllate che il dispositivo sia alimentato e la sua
porta Ethernet sia abilitata. Controllate che tutti i cavi siano UTP o STP
e che non siano danneggiati. Infine controllate che la distanza fra lo
switch e il dispositivo sia meno di 100m.
