Remote Features
To Ascend
When you push up the left
control stick (Up/Down
Control Stick), the spinning
speed of the main rotor will
increase and the helicopter
will begin totake off.
To Descend
When you push down the left
control stick (Up/Down
Control Stick), the spinning
speed of the main rotor will
increase and the helicopter
Trim Left & Right
If the airplane is ceaselessly spins or tilt to the
right, turn the steering trim to left
If the airplane is ceaselessly spins to tilt to the
left, turn the steering trim to right
Right Control
When you move the right
control stick
(Forward/Backward/Right-Left)
to right, the helicopter will turn
right
Left Control
When you move the right
control stick
(Forward/Backward/Right-Left)
to left, the helicopter will turn
left
Power button – red light will

This helicopter is not user-serviceable and cannot be repaired
through Lionel Service Stations. In the event of a
manufacturer defect, please contact Lionel Customer Service
@ 1-800-4Lionel for replacement within the 1 year warranty
period. Please see the terms of the warranty within your
instruction manual.

Powering your remote and your helicopter
•The helicopter charges right on the controller. It attaches like a USB port. The light underneath the helicopter
will be green and then shut off once the helicopter is charged.
Helpful hints and things to remember:
•The remote will flash until you bump the up/down joystick upward. Then push the up/down joystick in
the up position again and the rotors will spin. Sometimes it will take a second or two with the up/down
joystick in the upward position. If the rotors do not start reverse the process.
•Just release the up/down joystick to bring the helicopter down.
•4 AA batteries are needed (not included) and a small screw driver (not included) to open the back to
insert the batteries.
•The small buttons on the remote will be needed to set the gyro of the helicopter after each flight
•We found it does spin continuously to the right when going up, this does not go away. Let off slightly
on the up/down joystick and maintain a level height then use the L or R button to begin straightening it
out during flight. These buttons may be used frequently during flight.
•It will take about 10 flights to become accustom to the controls and using the buttons during
flight. Once your hands become used to how the helicopter and remote work together you will be
flying it around the room like a pro.

Charging Port

•This helicopter reacts quickly and moves quickly. Be aware of your surroundings when flying.
•Try to keep the remote and helicopter within 10ft of each other for the best flying experience.
•The battery inside the helicopter is not replaceable. Once this battery begins to lose its ability to hold a
charge the helicopter will need to be replaced. This will vary with use. You can prolong the life of this
battery by not leaving it on the remote control base after it has charged. Set a timer to remind you
when to remove the helicopter.
•If the helicopter has been off the charger for a long period of time it may need to be charged before
using it.
