Before you begin installation, read all instructions thoroughly.
Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
To help prevent damage to the product or vehicle, refer to the specified
torque specifications when securing hardware during the installation process.
Torque Specifications
1/2" bolt 65 ft-lbs.
Use above torque setting unless otherwise noted
Maintenance
Inspect the unit for proper operation, and
worn, damaged or missing parts. Replace
as required or when the unit's wear
exceeds 1/8" from the original surface.
Check the hardware torque specification
after the first 200 miles of towing
and every 400 miles after that.

Step 2 - Check the Base Rails
Install both safety chain loops (#2) into the
base rail closest to the rear of the truck
Ensure rail kits are installed
according to rail kit manufacturer's
recommended specifications
Each base rail must have a bolt
in either of the marked holes. Check
for obstructions before drilling
Measure diagonal from
same reference point.
Distances should be equal
Rear edge of truck bed
to rear edge of base rail
Front of truck
Rear edge of truck bed
Step 1
Attach the safety chain assembly (#1) to the upper weldment
by aligning the rear hole on the weldment and the hole on
the safety chain assembly. Secure with a 1/2" hex bolt (#5)
and nylock nut (#6) and torque to 65 ft-lbs.
Step 3
Clasp each hook to its corresponding loop

WARNING
After connecting your safety chains to your trailer, always
confirm the chains are long enough to support your maximum
turning radius. Chains without adequate length may bind
resulting in damage to your vehicle, hitch, and/or trailer.
