1.1.1 Measured

1.1.2 Service hours The operating time of the activated plant components
is displayed in hours. By actuating Reset all counters
are reset to zero. The values are saved once per day,
so that one day max. is lost in case of failure in power
supply. Press ESC.Select Error list. Press OK.
1.1.5 Error list A list of any faults that may have occured appears. Se-
lect a fault. Press OK.
1.10 Error list The error message appears in plain text. If
necessary take the appropriate measures. Back to
1Main menu by pressing ESC three times. Select
Settings. Press OK.
1.2 Settings After a power failure Date/Time has a memory
of 8 hours. Select Date/Time to set date and time.
Press OK.
1.2.1 Date setting Press OK. The year is highlighted in colour.
Select year by turning the rotary encoder. Press OK.
The month is marked. Select month. Press OK.
Select date. Press OK.
Scroll to Time. Set time. Press OK.
Select Auto. Clock Change for automatic summer

1.2.2 Language To change over to another language select
Language. Change the language. Press OK. Press

1.2.7 Display Brightness serves to adjust the backlighting of the
display in steps of 5% from 10% to 100%. Blanking
time is used to determine the time after which, in case
of inactivity, backlighting is reduced from the set value
to 10%. Adjustable in the range from 30 to 255 sec-
onds. Mirror system. When needed the system can be
mirrored. Press ESC. Select Buzzer. Press ESC.
1.2.10 Buzzer When activated, a warning signal sounds when an
error has occurred and/or before an additional heat
source (recharge warning) is activated. The recharge
warning buzzer sound can be switched off by press-
ing the ESC button. The recharge warning buzzer only
works if Activation is selected. Press OK.
1.2 Settings If an SD-card has been installed, select Remove SD
card safely to remove it. Press OK. Remove SD-card.
To save the settings from the SD-card, press Save
parameters. Successfully saved is shown. The saved
le can also be read in menu 0.2 Commissioning.
Here set values can be replaced by the factory
settings. Activate factory settings? appears.Yes
or No. Press ESC twice.
System 1.1, 1.2 and 4:
Select Monitoring. Press OK. Press Error list.
System 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 and 3.2:
Select Basic functions. Press OK. The thermostat
function can be activated or deactivated. Press ESC
three times.
Select Monitoring. Press OK. Press Error list.
1.1.5 Error list If an error is indicated, check the error by pressing
OK. The error is shown in plain text. Press ESC three
times. Select Login. Press OK.
1.7 Login Here the installer can enter his/her login code
to perform further settings and changes. Select
About SmartBio.Press ESC.
1.9 About The software and hardware version of the control-
ler, the serial number and the date of original com-
missioning appear.
If no entry is made within the preset time or by
pressing ESC twice, the display will return to the
current hydraulic system.
Operation Mode
On the controller the user can make various settings and obtain in-
formation about states and processes. To this effect press OK in au-
tomatic mode. 1 Main menu appears. Select Evaluation. Press OK.
Select Measured values. Press OK.

Commissioning
For commissioning, the controller must be mounted correctly. All
inputs and outputs must be connected and ready for operation.
The strain relief device must be used and the terminal cover closed!
Commissioning is communicated in plain text. The user must make
a selection, conrm and – if applicable – jump to the next menu item.
√ indicates function activated.
Now the power supply of the controller must be switched on.
After a short booting sequence 0.1 Language will appear on the dis-
play.
0.1 Language Select language. Press OK. Scroll to Next. Press OK.
0.2 Time/Date Press OK. The year is highlighted in colour. Select year by
turning the rotary encoder. Press OK.
The month is marked. Select month. Press OK.
Select date. Press OK.
Scroll to Time. Set time. Press OK.
Automatic summer time is predefined. To deactivate press
OK.
Load from SD card is shown only when SD card is in-
stalled. Press Load from SD card to read the saved le. The
le name is MMDDttmm. LKS (month, day, hour, min-
ute). Press desired le to load saved settings. The settings
are saved in menu 1.2.An SD card 2 GB is recommended.
Scroll to Next. Press OK.
System 1.1 The controller shows the hydraulic system 1.1.
Select hydraulic system 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2 or 4 by
turning the encoder. Press OK.
0.7 Checklist Test outputs. Press OK.
0.7.1 Test outputs The outputs can be activated manually to test the
function of the connected unit. Activate by pressing
OK and turning to ON. Press Next.
0.7 Checklist Select Mirror system. When needed the system can be
mirrored. Press OK.
Set the desired Loading temp. (BT). (System 1.1 and 1.2)
Select Additional heat. Press OK.
Select energy type of the additional heat source, Electric,
Oil, Gas, Pellet or - - -. Press OK. Choose if charge pump
and/or return pump are to be blocked when additional
heat is active. Set Block chargepump to Yes or No (System
1.1, 1.2, 2.1 and 2.2). Set Block returnpump to Yes or No
(System 1.1 and 1.2).
Select Tank bot. Sensor. Mark checkbox if sensor is in-
stalled in tank bottom.
Select HE output. Press OK. In hydraulic systems 1.1 and
1.2 it is possible to connect two pumps controlled by a
PWM-signal when RO1 and RO2 are not activated at the
same time. If a high-efciency pump is installed, select
RO1, RO2 or RO1/RO2. Press OK.
Select HE type. Press OK. Select signal PWM or Analog.
Press Next.
0.9 End You have completed commissioning!.Press OK.
System Operation mode. From this point on the SmartBio con-
trols the thermal plant automatically. The screen displays
the hydraulic system, the date, the time, the activated
pump and the current temperature for each sensor.
Note! Check the display regularly to be able to elimi-
nate any malfunctions!
