1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
xThoroughly follow all safety instructions of the manufacturer.
xDo not override or remove any of the safety switches, guards or devices of the lathe or the
Blaze Air.
xDo not service, perform any maintenance or handle any parts of the Blaze Air during
automatic cycling or with the power turned on.
xDo not touch any part in motion.
xBefore operating the Blaze Air and the lathe in automatic cycle, always close the main cover
of the Blaze Air.
xDo not wear any loose fitting clothing near any part in motion.
xSpindle liners must always be used and fastened securely to the spindle.
ATTENTION: Failure to follow the above safety instructions can result in serious personal
injury and components damage.
2. SPECIFICATIONS

3. PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION
It is recommended that the Blaze Air be installed by LNS or by one of its representatives.
The Blaze Air is delivered in one crate or on a palette.
Prior to installation the customer must provide the following:
xAir supply (see Section 4.5: Air Requirements and Connections).
xAnchoring bolts (see Section 4.4: Anchoring) may be supplied by LNS.
xRotary hammer drill.
xSeparate 3 Phase AC power drop.
4. ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 Unpacking
xRemove the plastic and external crating.
xRemove fasteners to free the unit from the bottom of the crate.
xThe unit will be set on spacers allowing a fork truck to insert its forks under the base of the
unit.
xCarefully lift the Blaze Air and position it longitudinally behind the lathe and in approximate
alignment with the spindle. The lathe spindle should be in the home location (position
closest to the Blaze Air).
Note: Should the lathe be equipped with a lateral chip conveyor or any other
peripheral, the Vacuum Liner may be extended so that the Blaze Air can be
located further back from the end of the lathe. This information must be
included with the order or a new Vacuum Liner must be manufactured.
xLower the leveling screws so that when the Blaze Air is set in place, the forks can be
extracted.
xReferring to Section 4.4: Anchoring, place the 4 leveling pads (2) under the 4 leveling screws
(1).
