Power On
Press and hold the power button located on the side of the Man Down X until it
beeps and you see the 2 LED lights turn on.
Power Off
Press and hold the power button until the LED lights go off, then press and hold the
power button again for approx. 3-4 seconds and let go - you should notice the Man
Down X beeps twice to alert you that it has powered off successfully.
2) Timers
Set a timer
Press and hold the + button on the side of the Man Down X until the device vibrates.
Cancel a timer
Press and hold the – button on the side of the Man Down X until the device vibrates.
Update a timer
First you must cancel your timer, then you can set a new timer using the + button.
Set a custom length timer
Press and hold the phone button on the front of the Man Down X until it vibrates and beeps. This will
ring through to our check call service, at which point you will have the following options:
If you fail to update your timer and it elapses, you will receive a
call to your Man Down X or to your phone number registered with
LONEALERT. This is to notify you that your timer has expired and
requires updating to let people know that you are OK.
If the call comes through to your mobile phone, you can enter
your pin code as prompted using your phone’s dial pad - your
timer will be restarted if you had a periodic timer set, or cancelled
if you set a standard timer.
If the call comes to your Man Down X you must end the call by
pressing the phone button, then set a new timer using the +
button or cancel your timer using the – button.
4) End call
If you are currently on a call (e.g. custom
timer function), you can press the phone
button to end the call.
5) Raise Panic
To raise a panic alarm, press and hold the SOS button on the front of the Man Down X for
approx. 2-3 seconds. The Man Down X will beep and vibrate to let you know it has been
pressed, then raise a panic in accordance with your company procedure.
If you have our LONEALERT ARC set as your first point of contact, your Man Down X will
raise a 2 way call with them. If this disconnects, the ARC can call you back.
If your Man Down X is set up to follow your company's internal procedure, the relevant
contacts will receive an automated message, alerting them that you have raised a panic.
This allows them to action the alert and try to get in contact with you.
6) Man Down
If the Man Down X is tilted over approx. 45 degrees for 10 seconds, it will begin beeping at the wearer. To stop this, simply tilt the Man Down
X back upright and after a few seconds it should stop beeping and return to its normal working mode.
If the Man Down X is not put upright, it will continue to beep for 2 minutes. If this elapses, it will then trigger a man down alert in accordance
with your company’s escalation procedure, going to our ARC or to your company’s internal escalation.
