EMERGENCY LIGHTING TESTING

INITIAL USE AND ROUTINE TESTING
From initial install the downlight will require up to 24hr for the batteries to be fully charged and provide the rated 3hr duration
in Emergency mode. Then following subsequent Emergency use, from full discharge will take approx. 14hr to fully recharge batteries.
It is important that the luminaire is routinely tested to ensure the batteries are conditioned and also to fully comply with BS5266.
A function test should be conducted every month with an annual test of the full 3hr duration. Records can be kept on the adjacent table.
It is recommended that batteries are replaced every 4 years to ensure the optimum charging cycle is maintained.

SUGGESTED METHOD OF INSTALLATION
1. Identify a suitable location for installation.
2. Trunking:– This can be mounted using the central 20mm hole
(a)
For surface installation:– Use suitable fixing through fixing
points (b)
3. The main housing is assembled to the bracket as shown.
Larger bolt and washers are used for main fixings.
Smaller bolt and washers are used for tilt adjustment slot

qualified competent person and in accordance with the current IEE Wiring
Regulations (BS7671) and Building Regulations. A copy ofthe instructions must

Products are protected by guarantee for a period of 5 year warranty, from date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship (unless otherwise stated). Should
a product fail to perform as described within the warranty period it will be repaired or replaced with the same or equivalent product by Luceco, free of charge provided
that you: (1) return the product to us with shipping charge prepaid, (2) provide us with proof of the original date of purchase and (3) quote our return authorization number.
Repaired or replaced products will be returned to you with shipping charges prepaid. Replacement products may be refurbished or contain refurbished materials. If in our
sole discretion, we are unable to repair or replace a defective product, we will refund the purchase price of the product.

4. For chain suspension:–Install the central suspension hook
by rotating clockwise into central hole on rear of product
5. Mount the hook onto chain or wire as required. Use the locking
screw to secure the chain/wire in the hook
6. Ensure all fixings are secure
7. An optional safety chain is also provided, should the primary fixing
method fail. This chain is to be fixed to the luminaire at the point
shown,with the other end of the chain free for fixing at a suitable
point, determined by the installer
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
8. Fixed output versions:–
• Connect pre-wired cable to power supply,
observing correct polarity
Live – Brown
Neutral – Blue
Earth – Green/Yellow
9. For Dimmable versions:–
• This product is supplied with 2 pre-wired cables with
IP65 connectors, suitable for HO5RN-F cable, 1–2.5mm2,
connect supplied connectors as marked
• Input power – 3 core connection for Live, Neutral and Earth
• Dimming control – 2 core connection for DALI L – L, DALI N – N
• Connect power as shown, ensuring terminals are secure
and seals are correct
10. Turn on power and operate as required
