230V ELCB Tester with
Voltage Indication

Introducon
The Socket polarity and earth leakage tester tests 3-wire 230V AC
outlets and earth leakage circuit breakers (ELCB).
The following symbols appear on the Socket polarity and earth
leakage tester or in this manual.

Socket Polarity Test
1. Plug tester into 16A socket outlet.
2. Check neon lamps, if not correct recfy fault before
connuing with next test.
Voltage Indicaon
1. Plug tester into 16A socket outlet.
2. The LCD will indicate the AC Voltage
3. Voltage range from 150VAC to 245 VAC.

ELCB Test
4. Turn rotary switch an-clockwise to 10mA posion.
5. Push and hold in the TEST buon switch.
6. Turn rotary switch slowly unit trip occurs.
7. Make note of trip current rang.
8. Neutral/earth reversed not detected.

• Adhere to local and naonal safety codes.
• Individual protecve equipment must be used to prevent
shock and injury.
• Use of instrument in a manner not specified by the
manufacturer may impair safety features/protecon
provided by the equipment.
• Avoid working alone.
• Inspect the test leads for damaged insulaon or exposed
metal. Check test lead connuity. Damage leads must be
replaced. Do not use the Socket polarity and earth leakage
tester if it looks damaged.
• Be careful when working above 30V AC RMS, 42V AC peak and
60V DC. Such voltages pose a shock hazard.
• Verify operaon prior to measuring hazardous voltages
(voltages above 30V AC RMS, 42V AC peak and 60V DC).

• Do not use the Socket polarity and earth leakage tester with
any of the parts removed.
• Do not use the Socket polarity and earth leakage tester
around explosive gas, vapor, or dust.
• Do not use the Socket polarity and earth leakage tester in a
wet environment.
