BUB143/ BUB183
Cordless Blower 14.4V/ 18V
Models BUB143 and BUB183 have been developed based on
Models BUB142 and BUB182 and feature a leaf blower nozzle,
which is similar to the one used for Model BUB360.
These products are powered by the following Li-ion batteries:
BUB143 by BL1415/ BL1430 (14.4V-1.3/ 3.0Ah)
BUB183 by BL1815/ BL1830 (18V-1.3*3/ 3.0Ah)

DISASSEMBLING
(1) Remove nozzle assembly.
(2) Remove Fan housing set and Fan AP-10302. (Figs. 1 and 2)
1. Unscrew 4x18 Tapping screws and
remove Fan housing L.
2. Lock Fan AP-10302 by inserting 1R309 or Phillips
screwdriver into the hole of the Fan, and remove
M5x8 Pan head screw while Holding Fan AP-10302
with gloved hand as drawn above.
Now, Fan AP-10302 is removed from Fan housing R.
Note: Remove Fan AP-10302 by levering up with two
1R263 if the Fan cannot be removed by hand.

ASSEMBLING
Assemble Fan housing set and Fan AP-10302 by reversing the disassembly procedure. (Refer to Figs. 2 and 1)
3. Remove 4x18 Tapping screws. Fan housing R can be separated from Motor housing.

DISASSEMBLING
(1) Remove Fan housing L, Fan AP-10302 and Fan housing R. (Refer to Figs. 1 and 2)
(2) DC motor can be disassembled from Motor housing set. (Figs. 3 and 4)
Tap the edge of Motor housing set with Plastic hammer.

It is difficult to pull off Receptacles from DC motor
by hand because of their tight connecting.
In this case, remove each Receptacle by levering up
with slotted screwdriver while supporting Receptacle
as drawn right.

Motor rubber rings A and B have to be assembled as drawn in Fig. 5.

1. Mount DC motor to Motor rubber ring B
so that its Plus terminal comes to the left
side of the groove of Motor rubber ring B.
2. Fit Motor rubber ring A to DC motor while
aligning its groove to that of Motor rubber
ring B.
3. Connect Lead wire (red) to plus terminal
which is the left side of the groove.
4. Fix Lead wires with lead wire holders on
Motor rubber ring B.

[3]-3. Electrical Parts in Handle Section
The electrical parts in Handle section can be disassembled / assembled as drawn in Fig. 6.

Receptacles have to be connected so that
their wire connecting portions are located
over the mark of + - poles.

Connect Lead wires to Battery holder by soldering.
Note: Battery holder of BUB183 is different from that of
the other 18V models so that the lead wires are
soldered to the holder.
Therefore, do not use Battery holder of the other 18V
models when repairing BUB183.
Note: Be careful not to pop Spring out
when Handle cover is removed.
Route DC Motor lead wires to Switch
through the position as drawn above.
Remove Handle cover by unscrewing
