. Insert Mounting Bolt through one hole of a Jawz adapter.
Insert washer and loosely apply a T-knob. See image 2.
. Faites passer le boulon de fixation dans l’un des trous
d’un adaptateur Jawz puis vissez légèrement un bouton
en ‘‘T’’ à la base du boulon. (Figure 2)
. Prior to installation, insert a bolt into the mounting holes in
the bottom of the carriers. Push upward to open the two
mounting hole covers located in the Base pads.
. Insert a Mounting Bolt into one mounting hole from the top
side. Rotate and close the mounting hole cover.

. Place the carrier onto the front cross bar with the boarding
ramp facing out. Swing the Jawz under the cross bar as
shown. See image 3.

de chargement vers l’extérieur. Faites passer l’adaptateur
Jawz sous la barre transversale, tel qu’indiqué. (Figure 3)

Step 1: Installing the Carriers onto the Cross Rails
. Insert a mounting bolt into the right side hex hole. See image 1.
. Insert mounting bolt through one hole of a Jawz mounting adapter and loosely
apply T-knob. See image 2.
. Place the carrier onto the front cross rail with the bottom rounded side towards the
outside of the vehicle. Swing the Jawz under the cross rail as shown. See image 3.
. Insert a mounting bolt into the left side hex hole and down through the Jawz
mounting adapter. See image 4.

Installing the Saddle Pads:
Unfasten the pad’s Velcro retaining strap. Install one end of the pad over
the top of the kayak saddle. Pull down to smooth out wrinkles in the pad’s
fabric. Note: Conrm the pad is installed as shown. See Image 1.

Pushing down rmly; work the end of the reversed pad down and over the
bottom of the saddle. Conrm both pads ends are fully seated and aligned
with the top and bottom of the saddle. See Image 3.

Holding the bottom of the pad; turn
approximately 2”of the fabric back
so that it is inside-out. See Image 2.

There are now two saddles without pads that will be installed on the vehicle’s front cross rail
and two saddles with pads that are installed on the rear cross rail. See Image 5.

Installing the Saddles to the Cross Rails:
Insert a mounting bolt (50mm or 60mm) into one hex hole on the side of the base as
shown. See Image 6.

Finish by fastening the pad’s Velcro retaining strap between the kayak
saddle frame and pad as shown. See Image 4. Repeat Steps 1-4 to install
the second pad and saddle.

Position the Jawz adapter directly under the cross rail. See Image 9.

Repeat Steps 6-11 for the second saddle. Note: Conrm that both saddles are installed with the directional
arrow, noted in Step 8, facing inwards. There are now two saddles without pads installed on the vehicle’s
front cross rail. See Image 12.

Place the saddle onto the front cross bar with the
directional arrow facing inward. See Image 8.
Insert a mounting bolt into the remaining hex
hole on the other side of the base. See Image 10.
Insert the mounting bolt through the remaining
hole in the Jawz adapter and loosely apply a
T-knob. See image 11.

Note: The base of the carrier has a
rectangular “cutout” that has been
included for square cross bar t.
This “cutout” does not effect the
t or function of the carriers when
installed to round or oval shaped
cross bars.

Repeat Steps 6-11 for the two saddles with pads installed on the rear cross rail. Note: Conrm that both
saddles are each installed with the directional arrow, noted in Step 8, facing inwards. See Image 13.
There are now four loosely installed saddles; two without pads mounted on the front cross rail, and, two
with pads mounted on the rear cross rail. See Image 14.

Position the kayak at the rear of the vehicle. Lift the front of the kayak
up and place into the rear saddles. Push kayak forward. See Image 15.

Loading & Securing the Kayak:
Center the kayak on the front and rear saddles. Adjust
the saddles to achieve maximum hull contact. Securely
tighten all eight of the T-knobs. See Image 16.

With the loop positioned over the kayak, pull the free end of
the strap down until the buckle end is at the top edge of the
kayak. See Image 20.

Pull the free end up until both ends of the strap are even and
a loop has been created. See Image 18.

Place the strap loop up and over the kayak. Note: Conrm
that the strap remains tight under the cross rail and correctly
positioned in front of the Jawz adapter. See Image 19.

Dress the free end of a strap under the cross rail and in front of
the Jawz mounting adapter. See Image 17.

Attach the MPG370 bow & stern safety lines to the kayak and
vehicle. See following pages. See Image 22.
Failure to correctly install and/or deploy the MPG370 safety
lines voids all warranty and Malone liability for damages or
injury.

Dress the free end of the strap under the cross rail and in
front of the Jawz mounting adapter. Pull the free end up
and insert through the buckle. Pull down to tighten.
See Image 21.
Repeat Steps 17-21 for the second set of saddles. Conrm
that the kayak is rmly held in place on all four saddles and
the straps are well secured.
