INSTRUCTION MANUAL
WARNING

:DO NOT fit in a passenger seat of a vehicle
1.This is a “Universal”child restraint; it is approved to Regulation No.44,04
series of amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will fit most ,but not
all, car seats.
2.A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle
handbook that the vehicle is capable of accepting a “Universal”child
restraint for this age group.
3.This child restraint has been classified as“Universal”under more
stringent conditions than those which applied to earlier designs which do not
carry this notice.
4.If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or the retailer.

Read these instructions carefully before fitting your car seat. Remember, an
incorrect installation could be dangerous.
The correct use and maintenance of your car seat will ensure it gives
long and trouble free use. When somebody else is using your car
seat, ensure they also know how to use it, especially the correct way
to adjust and fit it. The safety of your child is your responsibility.
Keep these instructions in a safe place, preferably with the car seat or in
the vehicle so that you can find them for future use.
This car seat has been tested and approved to comply with the latest
European Standards for Group 0+ & 1. For use rearward facing Group 0+
new born – 13kg (approximately birth – 12 months) Forward facing Group
1, 9 – 18kg (approximately 9months – 4 years).
The car seat should NOT be fitted in a passenger seat of a vehicle that has
an air bag fitted. (SRS)
NEVER leave your child unattended in the car seat.
Do not make any alterations or additions to the car seat.
Do not use the car seat without the cover.
The seat cover should be replaced with one recommended by Mamas &
Papas, because the cover constitutes an integral part of the car seat's
performance.
Ensure that once the car seat is fitted that no parts of the seat or the
vehicle's seat belt can become trapped by a folding seat or the vehicle's
door.
Check every time you use the car seat that the vehicle's safety belt is tight
and the car seat is held firmly in place.
Check every time you use the car seat that the vehicle's safety belt has not
become twisted.
2. Safety warning

Car interiors can become very hot when standing in direct sunlight – it is
therefore recommended that the car seat is covered by a towel when not in
use. This prevents the car seat and its metal parts becoming hot and burning
the child.
Check that luggage or other heavy or sharp objects are secured in the car.
Loose objects are liable to cause injury in the event of an accident or sudden
braking.
Do not allow the seat to be in contact with corrosive substances.
When travelling with other passengers using both the front and the rear seats,
the lighter occupant should travel in the rear of the vehicle and the heavier
occupant in the front passenger seat.
When the car seat is left in the vehicle without the child in it, always ensure it is
correctly fitted using the vehicle's safety belt to prevent it from being thrown
about in an accident.
The car seat should be replaced after an impact or accident.
Store this car seat in a safe place when it is not being used. Avoid placing
heavy objects on top of it.
3. Usage
3.1 Correct position of the child seat in vehicle
Only suitable if the approved vehicles
are fitted with 3-point safety-belts,
approved to UN/ECE Regulation
No.16 or other equivalent standards
The child seat must only be installed using
a lap and diagonal seat belt.

3.2 Checking the harness strap height

Always check that the harness shoulder straps are at the correct height
for your child. The harness shoulder straps should always be threaded
through the slots in the cover and seat shell that are closest to the top
of your child’s shoulders.

3.3 Using the buckle
Step 1.
Step 2. Slot the two buckle connectors into the slot in the buckle until
you hear a“click”.
Step 3. Check the harness is correctly locked by pulling the harness
shoulder straps upwards.
To release the harness, press the red button of the buckle downwards, the
two metal sections will pop up .
Put the two metal sections of the buckle connector together.

Tightening the harness
Pull the harness upwards to remove
the slack from the lap sections of the
harness then pull the adjuster strap
until the harness is fully tightened.
The harness should be adjusted as
tightly as possible without causing
discomfort to your child.
A loose harness can be dangerous.
Ensure the harness is tight each time
you use the child seat by pulling on the
adjuster strap.

3.4 Adjusng the Harness
The harness is loosened by pressing
the harness adjuster lever on the front
of the seat.
Press down the harness adjuster lever,
at the same time grip the harness
shoulder straps with your other hand,
pull the shoulder straps towards you to
loosen the harness.

The child seat has a choice of 3 different recline positions:
1. Upright
2. Semi reclined
3. Fully reclined.
To change the position of the child seat lift the recline handle and slide
the seat into the preferred position - release the recline handle and move
the seat until you hear a "click" - the car seat is now locked into position.
: When using the seat in the rearward facing position
(group 0+) it must be locked in position 3. fully reclined.
IMPORTANT
If the shoulder straps are not at the correct height for your child,follow
the instructions below:
Step 1. Loosen the harness shoulder
straps (see 3.4). From the back of the
seat slide the shoulder belt straps of the
shoulder strap yoke.
3.6 Adjusting the shoulder strap height
Step 2. Pull the straps through to the
front of the child seat. Now you can
remove the shoulder straps and
shoulder pads.

Step 3. Thread the harness shoulder
straps back through the cover and the
harness shoulder belt slots in the seat
shell - ensure both harness shoulder
straps are at the same height.
Step 4. Feed the shoulder pad straps
through the same slots ensuring the
straps are under the harness shoulder
straps and attach the shoulder pad
straps to the shoulder pad yoke securely.

(see 3.5 on page 5)
3.7 Removing the buckle and buckle pad
Fully recline the car seat.
From the bottom of the
seat, turn the locking clip
on it's narrowest end and
thread it through the slot.
The buckle and buckle pad
can now be removed from
the car seat.
4.INSTALLING YOUR CHILD SEAT
4.1 REARWARD FACING
For use with group 0+ - less than 13kg

Step 2. Place the child seat on the
vehicle seat rearward-facing and
make sure that the front of the
child seat is firmly pressed against
the .vehicle's seat backrest
Step 3. Thread the vehicle's
diagonal belt into the child
seat's belt guide hook
(furthest away from the
vehicle's safety belt buckle).
Thread the vehicle's lap belt
through both of the belt
guides on the bottom of the
child seat.
Step 4. Insert the lap and
diagonal belts into the vehicle's
safety belt buckle - you will hear
a"click" when it has engaged.
Ensure the vehicle's safety belt is
correctly engaged in the buckle.
Step 5. Place your child into the
child seat. Check the height of
the harness shoulder straps are
in the correct position and fasten
the buckle.
Check that the harness has not
become twisted and also check
that the cover is not impeding
the movement or fit of the
harness in any way .

Step 2. Thread the diagonal belt into
both belt guide hooks on the backrest
of the child seat. Thread the lap belt
through the two belt guide slots in the
base of the child seat.

4. 2 FORWARD FACING
For use with group 1 - 9kg - 18kg
Step 1. Place the child seat on the
vehicle’s seat forward-facing and
make sure that the backrest of the
child seat is firmly pressed against
the vehicle’s seat backrest.
Step 3. Insert the lap and
diagonal belts into the vehicle's
safety belt buckle - you will hear
a "click" when it has engaged.
Ensure the vehicle's safety belt is
correctly engaged in the buckle.
Step 4. Place your child into the
child seat. Check the height of
the harness shoulder straps are
in the correct position and fasten
the buckle.
Check that the harness shoulder
straps have not become twisted
and also check that the cover is
not impeding the movement or
fit of the harness in any way .
To remove the car seat, follow the above in reverse order.

5.2 Washing instruction
Never use any solvent, chemical detergent or lubricant on any part of your
child seat.
1.To remove the cover and pillows for washing remove the harness
shoulder straps (see 3.6 page 6)
2.Remove the shoulder pads by slipping off both shoulder pad straps
from the shoulder pad yoke.
3.Remove the buckle and buckle pad (see 3.7 page 7)
4.The cover and pillows can now be removed for washing.
NB Keep the harness and buckle with the seat until you replace the cover
and pillows.
