INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek DoorGuard350™.
Using this video-door phone you can hear and see the visitor at the
door (without the visitor being aware of it) before you decide to
open it. The camera is concealed in the small doorbell and delivers
high quality pictures, even in the dark. This camera is small enough to
mount onto the door frame, without the need to drill holes in the
(hollow) wall.

Step 1. Mounting the doorbell camera onto the
door frame.
xDrill a hole (15mm) in the door frame at the height that you
want to mount the doorbell camera.
xPass the power cable through the hole in the rain cover and
through the door frame.
xAttach the camera and rain cover to the frame with the screws
supplied.
xCover the screw holes in the camera with the caps supplied.
Step 2. Connecting the cable for the camera.
xThe additionally supplied cable for the connection of the camera,
has a black male connector at the camera end and a 4 U
connector at the monitor end. Click the black connector of the
doorbell camera onto the black male connector of the
additionally supplied cable. Guide the cable to the spot where
the monitor is to be mounted (Beware: there should be a power
socket in the area).
xMount the wall plate onto the wall using the four supplied
screws.
Step 3. Mounting the monitor onto the wall.
xTake the monitor and secure the cable’s 4 U-connectors in the
correct order under the 4 connectors.
xConnect the power adapter with the backside of the monitor.
xNow place the monitor against the wall plate and move it up and
down against the plate such that it snap-locks onto the plate.
xYour DoorGuard350™ has now been installed successfully and is
ready to use.
xYou can always slide off the monitor by sliding it upwards.

SETTING BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST
AND COLOUR
You can set the following by pressing numerous times on the menu
button:
BRIGHTNESS
CONTRAST
COLOUR
Change the setting by pressing on the + or – button.
FUNCTION
As soon as a visitor rings the doorbell by pressing on the doorbell
button, the image will appear instantly on the monitor in the house.
This way you can see who is at the door before you decide to open it
(or pretend you’re not at home). To speak to the visitor, you simply
press the monitor button. If you have also installed an electric door
opener, you can open the door by pressing on the door-open button.
(Only works if you have an image on the monitor)
If you wish to look outside without anyone having rung the doorbell,
press the monitor button. You cannot be heard outside when you do
this.
If you wish those outside to hear you, press the intercom button.
You can switch off the monitor’s bell with the mute button. The
on/mute button then changes from red to blue. Pressing the mute
button again reconnects the bell. And the blue colour changes back
to red.

Connecting an electric door opener
- To open the door from the monitor.
- The camera will provide the power for the door-opener
- You need an electric door opener of 8 to 12 V DC. (Marmitek art nr
09774).
- Connect the door opener to the 2-core cable supplied. The cable
connector connects to the 2-core connector on the camera.
Connecting multiple monitors
- To be able to see who is at the door from several places (max. 4).

(UK version).
The 4-core cable that is supplied with the extra monitor is parallel
connected to the first monitor’s connection points. A 3rd or 4th
monitor can be connected to the 2nd or 3rd monitor.
- If you want to bridge a greater distance, then check out the
following table for the required cable type.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There is no image
Check if the power cable is properly connected to the power socket.
Check the position of the button for minimum and maximum
contrast, and turn the wheel on the side to select the best image.
Check if the connectors are properly fixed
There is no sound
Check if the connectors are properly fixed
The image is hazy (clouds)
Check if there are interferences in the surrounding area. For example
a high voltage cable, electric appliances etc.

EINFÜHRUNG
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb der Marmitek DoorGuard350.
Mit diesem Video-Türtelefon können
Sie jederzeit (auch unbemerkt) zunächst einmal schauen und hören,
wer an Ihrer Tür steht, bevor Sie sich
entschließen die Tür zu öffnen. Die Kamera ist in der schmalen
Türklingel angebracht und gibt eine gute
Bildqualität, sogar im Dunkeln. Die Türkamera kann durch ihre
Schmalheit problemlos am Türrahmen
montiert werden. Sie brauchen also keine Löcher in (zweischalige)
Wände an zu bringen.

Schritt 1 Türrahmenmontage der
Türklingelkamera.
xBohren Sie in der gewünschten Anbringungshöhe der
Türklingelkamera ein 15 mm Loch durch den Türrahmen
xSchieben Sie nun das Kabel durch das Bohrloch im Regenschutz
und durch den Türrahmen.
xMontieren Sie nun die Kamera und den Regenschutz mit den
anliegenden Schrauben an den Türrahmen.
xDichten Sie die Schraublöcher in der Kamera mit den anliegenden
Kappen ab.
Schritt 2 Das Kabel für die Kamera anschließen
xDas mitgelieferte Kabel zum Anschließen der Kamera hat an
Kameraseite ein schwarzes “male” Anschlussstück und an
Monitorseite 4 U Anschlussstück. Klicken Sie das schwarze
Anschlussstück der Türklingelkamera auf das schwarze “male”
Anschlussstück des mitgelieferten Kabels. Führen Sie das Kabel
bis zur Stelle an der der Monitor aufgehängt werden soll.
(Achtung: in der Nähe muss sich eine Steckdose befinden).
xMontieren Sie die Wandplatte mit den vier Schrauben an die
Wand.
Schritt 3 Den Monitor an die Wand montieren.
xNehmen Sie den Monitor auf und Schrauben Sie die 4 U
Steckverbindungen des Monitorkabels in richtiger Reihenfolge
unter den 4 Anschlüssen fest.
xStecken Sie den Speisungsadaptoranschluss in die
Monitorrückseite.
xHalten Sie nun den Monitor gegen die Wandplatte und schieben
ihn so (von oben nach unten), dass der Monitor die Wandplatte
herunter gleitet und mit einem Klick einrastet.
xStecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.
xSie können den Monitor jederzeit lösen, indem Sie diesen nach
oben schieben. Ihr DoorGuard350 ist nun installiert und
gebrauchsfertig.

HELLE, KONTRAST UND FARBE
EINSTELLEN
Durch mehrmaliges Drücken der Menütaste können Sie
nachfolgende Einstellungen ändern:
Helligkeit (BRIGHT)
Kontrast (CONTRAST)
Farbe (COLOR)
Passen Sie die Einstellungen an, indem Sie die + oder – Taste drücken.
VERWENDUNG DER DOORGUARD350
So wie ein Besucher an der Türklingelkamera klingelt, empfangen Sie
auf dem Monitor im Haus Bild. Sie sehen also direkt wer geklingelt
hat und können die Tür öffnen (‘oder sich dafür entscheiden, kurz
außer Haus zu sein’). Um mit dem Besucher zu reden, drücken Sie
einfach auf die Monitortaste. Wenn Sie einen elektrischen Türöffner
montiert haben, so können Sie die Tür mit der Türöffnertaste öffnen.
( Funktioniert nur, wenn Sie Bild auf dem Monitor haben)
Wenn Sie hinausschauen möchten, ohne dass jemand geklingelt hat,
drücken Sie auf die Monitortaste. Man kann Sie dann draußen nicht
hören.
Wenn Sie draußen hörbar sein möchten, drücken Sie dann auf die
Taste der Sprechanlage.
Mit der Mute-Taste können Sie die Klingel des Monitors ausschalten.
Die In Betrieb/Mute Taste wechselt dann von rot nach blau. Wenn Sie
nochmals die Mute-Taste drücken, schaltet sich die Klingel wieder ein.
Das Blau wechselt dann wieder nach Rot.

OPTIONALE MÖGLICHKEITEN MIT
IHRER DOORGUARD350
Elektrischen Türöffner anschließen
- Zum Öffner der Tür vom Monitor aus.
Die Kamera sorgt für die Speisung des Türöffners.
Sie benötigen einen 8 bis 12 V DC Türöffner. (Marmitek Art.-Nr.
09774)
Schließen Sie den Türöffner an das enthaltene, zweiadrige Kabel an.
Schließen Sie die Steckverbindung des Kabels an die zweiadrige
Steckverbindung der Kamera an.
Mehrere Monitore anschließen
In diesem Falle können Sie von mehreren (max. 4) Aufstellungsorten
im Haus sehen wer klingelt.
Einzeln erhältlich:
DoorGuard350 Hands Free Monitor: Art.-Nr.: 08056 (E-Ausführung)
08062 (UK Ausführung).
Schließen Sie das vieradrige Kabel, das mit dem zusätzlichen Monitor
geliefert wird, parallel an die Anschlüsse des ersten Monitors an.
Schließen Sie einen etwaigen 3. oder 4. Monitor wiederum an den 2.
oder 3. Monitor an.
Möchten Sie einen größeren Abstand überbrücken, sehen Sie dann
nachstehende Tabelle für die benötigte Kabelart.

HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN
Ich empfange kein Bild
Überprüfen Sie, ob das Speisungskabel gut an die Steckdose
angeschlossen ist. Überprüfen Sie, ob der Kontrast auf Maximal oder
Minimal eingestellt ist und drehen Sie zur Bildeinstellung an dem sich
seitlich befindenden Rädchen. Überprüfen Sie, ob die
Verbindungsstücke richtig angeschlossen sind.
Ich empfange keinen Ton
Überprüfen Sie, ob die Verbindungsstücke korrekt angeschlossen
sind.
Das Bild ist verschwommen (Schnee)
Überprüfen Sie, ob Interferenz in Ihrer Nähe auftritt. Zum Beispiel
durch ein Hochspannungskabel, elektrische Geräte usw
