Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a Marsden industrial scale. This is a precision CE Approved Weighing
Instrument and considerate use will result in many years of accurate weighing.
The scale has a maximum load capacity of 30kg which must not be exceeded.
Marsden’s policy is one of continuous development and therefore we reserve the right to
change product specification without notice.

Safety Instructions
Before putting the device into use, please read with care the information given in this user
manual, which contains important instructions for proper installation, use and maintenance of
the device.
Marsden/the manufacturer shall not be liable for damages arising from failure to heed the
following instructions:
●When using electrical components under increased safety requirements, always comply
with appropriate regulations.
●Inappropriate installation/use will render the warranty null and void.
●Ensure the voltage marked on the power supply unit matches your mains supply.
●This device is designed for use indoors.
●Observe the permissible ambient temperatures for use.
●The device meets the requirements for electromagnetic capability. Do not exceed the
maximum values specified in the applicable standards.
●Batteries should be kept away from small children. If swallowed, promptly seek medical
assistance.
If you have any problems, contact Marsden/your local dealer/your service partner.
Cleaning
●We recommend using alcohol-based wipes or similar when cleaning the scale.
●Please do not use large amounts of water when cleaning the scale as this will cause
damage to the inner electrics. Please refrain from using corrosive liquids or high
pressure washers.
●Always disconnect the scale from the mains power supply before cleaning.
Maintenance
●The scale does not require any routine maintenance. However, we recommend checking
the scales accuracy at regular intervals. If any inaccuracies occur, please contact your
local dealer or service partner.
Disposing of the Scale
●This product should not be treated as regular household waste but should be handed in
to an electrical/electronic equipment recycling center.
●You can obtain further details from your local council, your municipal waste disposal
company or from where you purchased the product.

Power Supply & Low Battery
The indicator uses power from the 6V4Ah rechargeable battery, or use the AC adaptor stored in
the compartment underneath the scale.
When the display shows -batLo- connect to mains supply and charge the scale immediately.
After 40 seconds of inactivity the scale will switch to power saving mode. To start weighing
again, simply add a weight to the scale.

Operation: Basic Functions
1.1 SWITCHING ON THE SCALE
1) Press the ON button firmly.
2) The scale will test all of the display segments.
3) The scale will now go into weighing mode and should show 0.000 on the display.
1.2 SWITCHING OFF THE SCALE
1) Hold the OFF button for three seconds when the scale is turned on. The scale will
power down.
1.3 SETTING THE SCALE TO ZERO
1) If for any reason the scale shows a reading other than 0.000kg, it can be reset to
zero. Press the ON/ZERO key once.
2) The scale will return to 0.000kg.
Operation: Advanced Functions
2.1 TARE FUNCTION
1) Place the item you wish to deduct the weight of (such as a plate or a bowl) on
the scale and press TARE.
2) The scale will show 0.000kg.
3) Remove the item from the scale and a minus reading will show (such as -0.899).
4) Weigh as normal and the negative weight reading will be deduced from the total
weight.

2.2 COUNTING FUNCTION
1) To count items on the scale, first place a sample quantity on the scale. Switch the
indicator to count mode by pressing SET and ON/ZERO key at the same time.
2) The display shows ’PCS’. Press ON/ZERO to confirm.
3) Press SET to change digit and Tare to change the value.
4) To confirm the amount, press ON/ZERO and remove the items.
5) Place the items on the weighing pan to resume count.
6) To return to normal weighing mode, place the original sample on the scale. Press
the SET and ON/ZERO key. The scale will show PCS Y. Press the Tare key to
change this to PCS N. Press ON/Zero to confirm.
2.3 SWITCHING UNITS
1) To switch the weighing units of the scale from kg to lb, hold down the TARE key.
2.4 SETTING THE ALARM
1) To enter the alarm mode, press the SET and ON/ZERO keys/
2) The display will show rAng. Press ON/ZERO to confirm.
3) To set the lower limit press SET to change digit and TARE to change value.
Confirm the lower limit by pressing ON/ZERO.
4) Set the upper limit by using SET and TARE. Press ON/ZERO to confirm.
5) The LED display will show until the target weight is reached. The alarm will sound
when the target is reached.
6) To remove the target weight. Press the SET and ON/ZERO keys and the display
will show rAng. Press ON/ZERO three times to turn the alarm off.
