Important safety features

Operation
1. Place the heater in the coolest part of the room. Plug the heater directly into 120 V AC, 60 Hz
wall outlet.
2. Turn the power control dial from the OFF position to the LOW or HIGH setting and rotate the
thermostat control knob in clockwise to the HIGH THERMOSTAT position to turn ON the heater.
Note: During the initial use of the heater, you may notice a slight odour or smoking as the result of
the heating element lubrication “burning off”. This condition is normal. After few minutes, the both
smell and smoke will leave off.
3. After the heater has been turned ON and the room has reached the desired temperature,
slowly rotate the thermostat control knob counter-clockwise until a “click” sound is heard and
the heater shuts off. With the thermostat control knob in this position, the temperature will be
maintained automatically.
4. To lower the temperature, rotate the knob counter-clockwise towards the LOW position. To
raise the temperature, rotate the thermostat control knob clockwise towards the HIGH position.
5. Turn the power control dial to the fan setting and turn the thermostat control knob fully in a
clockwise direction to operate the fan continuously.
6. Turn the power control dial to the OFF position before unplugging or plugging in the heater.
