The manufacturer warrants this product to the original user
against defective material or workmanship for a period of 1
year from the date of purchase.
The manufacturer reserves the right to determine whether
the part or parts failed because of defective material,
workmanship or other causes. Failures caused by accident,
alteration, or misuse are not covered by this warranty.
The manufacturer, at its discretion, will repair or replace
product covered under this warranty free of charge. Repairs
or replacements of products covered under this warranty are
warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
The manufacturer or its authorized service representatives
must perform all warranty repairs. Any repair to the product
by unauthorized service representatives voids this warranty.
The rights under this warranty are limited to the original user
and may not be transferred to subsequent owners.
The warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or
implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness
for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Study, understand and follow all instructions provided with
this product. Read these instructions carefully before
installing, operating, servicing or repairing this tool. Keep
these instructions in a safe accessible place.
The MST7843 GM Torsion Bar Unloading Tool is meant to be
used on 2011 and newer GM vehicles to service and adjust the
torsion bar. Do not use these tools outside of the designed
intent. Never modify the tools for any other purpose or use.

Indispensable tool. Needed to service torsion arm
and front suspension on many 2011 and newer
full-size GM trucks.

CAUTION: To prevent personal injury,
• Wear eye protection that meets
ANSI Z87.1 and OSHA standards.
• Completely release pressure
before servicing the torsion bar.
The torsion bar is under pressure,
creating a potentially dangerous
situation.
CAUTION: To prevent equipment damage,
clean and lubricate the forcing screw
frequently from threads to tip.
Removal
1. Attach the Torsion Bar Unloader to the vehicle
frame rail as shown. Tighten the tool against
the torsion bar adjusting arm.
2. Loosen or remove the torsion bar adjusting
bolt while counting the number of turns
required. This helps identify the original
position of the adjusting bolt.
3. Remove
Installation
1. Attach the tool to the vehicle frame rail.
Tighten the tool against the torsion bar
adjusting arm.
2. Tighten the tool to draw the torsion bar
adjusting arm into the frame rail.
3. Tighten the torsion bar adjusting bolt using
the same number of turns recorded in Step 2
during removal.
4. Remove the tool.
5. Refer to the vehicle service manual for
the correct trim height and alignment
specifications.
Details
GM's Full-Size C/K series trucks with the heavy-duty chassis require heavy-duty tools to deal with the larger
torsion bar design. The larger C-frame opening on the MST7843 accommodates the larger torsion bar on these
trucks, holding it in place while you loosen or tighten the adjusting nut. This rugged tool is built for 2011+
full-size GM/GMC trucks with heavy-duty chassis and large torsion bar.
