Failure to follow User Instructions P/N 03521015 and the instructions
contained herein may be hazardous to the user’s health.
Use only if package is received unopened and contents are
undamaged. If damage is noted, contact the shipper for replacement
or repair.
Prior to using any MAXAIR®System or component, be sure to be
familiar with the system’s NIOSH approved conguration.
DO NOT use if any component is damaged. If any components are
damaged or contaminated and therefore unt for safe and e󰀨ective
use, they should be replaced immediately.
Only trained and experienced personnel who have read and
understand the User Instructions should use MAXAIR Products.
The institution using this product in any application is responsible
for determining the appropriateness of this equipment relative to
regulatory requirements. Bio-Medical Devices Intl, Inc. does not
recommend the appropriate systems for a particular institution or
facility.
Use only MAXAIR Systems/ NIOSH approved compatible
components.
NOT for use in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health
(IDLH), and atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen, or
more than 25% oxygen.
Flammability Level I: fabric may burn if exposed to open ame.
Follow current local regulations governing biohazard waste to safely
dispose of single use MAXAIR Products.

Intended Use
The MAXAIR ChinStraps are accessory items for MAXAIR Hard
Hat congurations that enhance Helmet-to-head secureness of t.
This may be helpful for applications where a worker’s activity or
environmental factors could otherwise dislodge the Hard Hat from its
properly donned position.
MAXAIR ChinStraps may be used with any MAXAIR Hard Hat
System conguration.

User Instructions
Adjust the 2000-208 ChinStrap Length
1. Disconnect the buckle and place
the male buckle at a right angle to
the straps.
2. Shorten: Hold the male buckle
rmly in one hand, grasp the non-
Hook strap-end and pull.
3. Lengthen: Hold the male buckle
rmly in one hand, grasp the
Hook strap-end and pull.
Assembly - ChinStrap to Hard Hat Skirt
A. Grasp one front Strap Hook at its base and place the Hook in
front of the front silver Snap on one side of the Hard Hat.
B. With the Hook open side pointing to Hard Hat rear, press Hook
on to Hard Hat Skirt side front silver Rivet until it clicks (audible)
in place, securely.
C. Repeat for other side.
1. Securely grasp the
female buckle in one
hand and the male
buckle in the other.
Grasp the female buckle in one hand, the male buckle in the
other and, depress the spring locks on the female buckle with
the thumb and forenger, then pull the buckles apart.

A. Grasp a ChinStrap Hook base between
thumb and forenger.
B. Pull Hook o󰀨 Hard Hat Skirt Rivet - Pull
front Hooks to front; pull rear Hooks to
rear.
C. Repeat for all ChinStrap Hooks.

Assembly - Connect ChinStrap Buckle Dis-Assembly - Disconnect ChinStrap Buckle
3. Press the buckles
together until the au-
dible click indicates
they are securely
connected.

buckle into the
female buckle.

of Hooks on each side must face
each other).
CAUTION
The open (hook) side of the Hooks must face inwards, towards the center of the Hard Hat.

Disconnect the ChinStrap Buckle (as detailed above).
Loops A1 and B1 determine the strap lengths of the front and rear Hooks
from their bifurcation from these Loops.
1. On Hook Strap A, adjust the desired respective lengths of the Front
and Rear Hooks from Loop A1 by pushing/pulling Strap A back/forth
through Loops A1 and A2.
2. Firmly hold Loop A1 and the Hooks Strap passing through it together
so they do not move with respect to each other, then pull the female
Buckle rmly away from Loop A1 to stretch out Hooks Strap A.
3. Repeat 1-2 for the Hook Strap B side with the male buckle
Length Strap A through Loop A2 and Length Strap B through Loop B2
determine the overall length of the ChinStrap.
Pull/Push Length Straps A and B through Loops A2 and B2 respectively,
to achieve the desired overall ChinStrap length. Ensure that the strap
length from Loop A2 to the Female Buckle is the same as the strap length
from Loop B2 to the Male Buckle.
