1 First Use
1.1 Overview
This document is intended for customers who use the T399G-GFB5 or T399L-GFB5 for the first time, helping them configure and
operate the device, understand the basic functions of the device, and test the device's Bluetooth function.

Red
Positive charge of the power input. Connect to the positive charge of the vehicle
battery. Input voltage: 11.4–90 V. 12 V or 24 V is recommended.

Set the PWM output (adjustable output time and pulse width).
Connect to an external relay to remotely cut off the vehicle fuel cable or engine
power supply.
7 (1-Wire port)

Connect to the iButton reader and other devices supporting the 1-Wire
protocol. The port can be configured as the negative input 5 or open collector
output 2.

2Testing the Device
2.1 Preparation Before the Test
1) Hardware: T399G-GFB5/T399L-GFB5 tracker, USB cable, SIM card, L wrench, and Bluetooth temperature and humidity
sensor
2) Software: STM32 USB driver, Meitrack Manager, Meitrack Manager app (Android system supported), and MS03 tracking
platform

2.2 Operating the Device
1. Hold the device, loosen the six screws by using the L wrench, and remove the device cover.
2. Gently push the SIM card into the card slot with the gold-plated contacts facing down until you hear a click.
3. Connect the red cable and black cable of the device to the vehicle battery (input voltage: 11.4–90 V). Then the device is turned
on automatically and the blue and green LED indicators blink.
GPS Indicator (Blue)
Blink (every 0.1 seconds)
The device is being initialized or the battery power is low.
Blink (0.1 seconds on and 2.9 seconds off)
A GPS signal is received.
Blink (1 second on and 2 seconds off)
No GPS signal is received.
GSM Indicator (Green)
Steady on
A call is coming in or a call is being made.
Blink (every 0.1 seconds)
The device is being initialized.
Blink (0.1 seconds on and 2.9 seconds off)
A base station signal is received.

4. Connect the device to a computer by using the USB cable.

2.3 Installing the USB Driver
1) Download the STM32 USB driver.
Visit http://67.203.13.28:9090/play/STM32_USB_Driver.rar, and download the STM32 USB driver.
2) Unzip the downloaded installation package and double-click the installation file.
3) Install the STM32 USB driver as prompted.
4) After the installation is finished, connect the device to the computer through the USB cable. If STMicroelectronics Virtual COM
Port (COM4) is displayed on the Device Manager page, the driver is installed successfully.

2.4 Installing Meitrack Manager
1) Download the Meitrack Manager software.
Visit http://67.203.13.28:9090/play/MMPlusSetup.rar, and download Meitrack Manager.
2) Unzip the downloaded installation package and double-click the MMSetup.exe file to install Meitrack Manager.
3) Install Meitrack Manager as prompted.

2.5 Running Meitrack Manager
1) Start Meitrack Manager on your computer. Then Device disconnected, auto connect device... is displayed in the lower left
corner of the window.
2) Turn on the device, and connect it to the computer through the USB cable. (Ensure that the computer detects the COM port.)
3) If Get device setting succeed! is displayed in the lower left corner of the window, Meitrack Manager is run successfully.
Note: If Meitrack Manager fails to be run, check Step 2 and Step 3 or the COM port status while disabling other COM ports.
2.6 Configuring GPRS Parameters
1) Click Tracking. Then the Tracking page is displayed. In this section, use a device in China as an example. Customers can
configure device parameters as required.

2) Set GPRS parameters.
As shown in the following figure, set IP to 67.203.15.7,Port to 10003 and GPRS Interval to 6, set APN parameters (Use the SIM
cards of China Mobile as an example), and click Set.
3) Set Bluetooth parameters.
There are three Bluetooth modes as follows:
Broadcasting mode (by default): Used to connect Meitrack Manager app.
Scanning mode: indicates the main device mode and used to detect nearby Bluetooth devices. If the ACC is triggered, the device
is switched to broadcasting mode. If Meitrack Manager app fails to be connected within one minute, the device is switched to
scanning mode.
Off: Disable the Bluetooth function.

4) Set Bluetooth beacon parameters.
Alarm when signal lost for(secs): If the Bluetooth beacon fails to be detected within a specified period, an alert is generated.
Lost: Determine whether output 1 or output 2 is controlled when Bluetooth beacon signals are lost.
Trigger OUT1/Trigger OUT2: Output 1 or output 2 is controlled when Bluetooth beacon signals are lost.
Report Data: Upload Bluetooth data or not.
MAC Address: indicates the MAC code of the Bluetooth beacon, as shown in the following figures.
Press and hold down the button on the side of the Bluetooth beacon for three seconds. Then the blue LED indicator is on for five
seconds, which means the Bluetooth beacon is powered on and starts to search information.

Note: If the MAC code of the Bluetooth beacon fails to be found, set it by Meitrack Manager app.
5) Set Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor parameters.
Alarm when signal lost for(secs): If the Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor fails to be detected within a specified period,
an alert is generated.
Trigger output when: Output 1 or output 2 is controlled when Bluetooth signals are lost, the temperature is too high or low, or
the humidity is too high or low.
Control output: Output 1 or output 2 is controlled.
Report Data: Upload Bluetooth data or not.
MAC Address: indicates the MAC code of the Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor, as shown in the following figures.
Press and hold down the button on the back of the Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor for three seconds. Then the blue
LED indicator is on for five seconds, which means the Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor is powered on and starts to
search information.

Note: If the MAC code of the Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor fails to be found, set it by Meitrack Manager app.
2.7 Adding a Device to the MS03 Platform
The device is configured and started successfully by performing the preceding steps. In this section, we will describe how to add a
device to the MS03 tracking platform.
1) Visit http://ms03.trackingmate.com.
2) Enter the user name and password, and log in to the MS03 platform.
3) Add a device to the MS03 platform in the sequence shown in the following figures.
4) On the Add new tracker window that is displayed, set related parameters and click Submit. Then the device is showed on the
device list. After the device is selected, related information including the information about nearby Bluetooth beacons and
Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensors is displayed on the map.

5) Query historical reports about the Bluetooth beacon and Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor in the sequence shown in
the following figures.
2.8 Configuring Meitrack Manager App
1) Start Meitrack Manager app and detect a tracker. After a tracker is detected, select one and click Confirm. Then the device
configuration page is displayed.
If a tracker fails to be detected, connect the white cable of the device to the power cable (12–36 V) and the analog device to ACC
ignition cable. Then the device is switched to broadcasting mode for one minute.

2) Set Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor parameters.
Select Temperature & Humidity Sensor to search nearby Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensors. Then set sensor
parameters as required, as shown in the following figures.
3) Set Bluetooth beacon parameters.
Select iBeacon to search nearby Bluetooth beacons. Then set Bluetooth beacon parameters as required, as shown in the following
figures.
