the appliance must match the voltage of your
mains supply.
• Please ensure when using the appliance that the
power cable cannot pose a tripping hazard.
• Keep the appliance, power cable and plug
away from hot surfaces, open flames and sharp
edges. When using the appliance, please make
sure that the cable does not become stuck (e.g.
in doors), and do not pull the vacuum cleaner
using the power cable.
• Never touch the appliance, power cable or plug
with wet or damp hands.
• Never submerge the appliance, power cable
or plug in water or other liquids. Danger of

container or the dust filter insert are not in
place or if these parts show signs of damage.
The appliances should not be used without the
correctly fitted filter.

where there are flammable gasses, fluids or
dust. Danger of fire!

USING YOUR APPLIANCE / CLEANING AND
CARE / CARING FOR YOU VACUUM CLEANER
/ EMPTYING THE DUST COLLECTOR
USING YOUR APPLIANCE
• Before using the vacuum cleaner, make sure that
the dust collector and the filter insert located
inside the dust collector are correctly in place.
• Also make sure that the motor protection filter
and the motor outlet filter are correctly in place.
• Missing or incorrectly installed filters can
damage the motor of your vacuum cleaner.
• Next, correctly replace the dust collector cover
and lock into position.
• Place the vacuum cleaner in a horizontal
position.
• Pull out the power cable as far as you need.
The yellow marker on the power cable shows
the recommended cable length. Do not pull the
power cable out past the red marker.
• Put the plug into a plug socket.
• Do not pull on the power cable! To avoid pulling
on the power cable when using the vacuum
cleaner, turn the appliance off briefly, and plug
it in to a nearer plug socket.
• The power control (on/off switch) allows the
device to be switched on and off.
• The power/suction control allows the variable
adjustment of the power, e.g. suction power of
the device.
• Turn the vacuum on and off using the power
button.
• When vacuuming, especially when using the
vacuum cleaner on soft materials (e.g. textiles),
always begin on a low suction setting, and
increase suction slowly as needed.
• When using your vacuum cleaner for the
first time, you may see some smoke and the
appliance may emit a smell. This is normal, and
will disappear with further use of the vacuum
cleaner.
• When using the appliance on flat surfaces, it
is possible to roll the vacuum cleaner along
behind you carefully by pulling on the suction
hose. When lifting or carrying the vacuum
cleaner, only use the handle.
• When you have finished using the vacuum
cleaner, turn it off and unplug it.
• Press the cable rewind button to retract the
power cable. The power cable and plug will
retract very quickly. Make sure that the plug
does not hit any body parts, anybody around
you, or any objects. Before retracting the cable,
move the plug close to where the cable joins the
vacuum cleaner, and hold on to it tightly.
• Store the vacuum cleaner safely in a dry place.
CLEANING AND CARE
Caution:
Before cleaning the device, remove and clean the
dust container and filter, remove the stretch hose
switch off the unit and unplug from the mains!
CARING FOR YOU VACUUM CLEANER
• If you need to wash the casing of your vacuum
cleaner, you can use a slightly damp cloth. If
the appliance is very dirty, you can use a mild
detergent.
• Do not use any abrasive substances, abrasive
sponges or strong detergents, as these can
damage the surface of the appliance.
• Never use any solvents, petrol or oil-based
cleaning agents, as these can damage the
casing.
• In order to ensure the safe working of your
vacuum cleaner, the filters must be regularly
cleaned / replaced.
Important:
Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the dust
collector or filters installed.
EMPTYING THE DUST COLLECTOR
When the level of dust in the dust collector has
reached the edge of the filter insert, the dust
collector must be emptied and cleaned. To maintain
optimum suction power, it is better to empty and
clean the dust collector regularly, before it reaches
this level.

EMPTYING THE DUST COLLECTOR /
CLEANING / CHANGING THE FILTERS
• Disconnect the suction hose from the appliance.
• Press the cover-lock button (see Fig. 1) and
open the dust container cover.
• Using the carry handle, lift the dust container up
out of the unit (see Fig. 2).
• Hold the dust container over a refuse bin
and using the locking button, unclip the filter
cartridge as shown in Figures 3 und 4. You will
subsequently be able to empty the container.
• The interior of the dust collector can then be
cleaned using a dry cloth.
• In addition, the filter cartridge of the dust
container must be regularly cleaned.
• To clean the filter, initially beat this over refuse
bin and then remove the remaining dust using a
fine brush (see Fig. 5).
• Correctly replace the filter insert inside the dust
collector.
• The cleaned dust collector can now be put back
into the appliance. Use slight pressure to close
the dust collector cover, and this should lock into
place with a ʻclickʼ.
CLEANING / CHANGING THE FILTERS
In order to ensure the smooth running of the
device, it is also important to make sure the motor
protection filter is cleaned at regular intervals. If the
filter is significantly dirty or damaged, it must be
replaced for a new filter.
Only use filters exclusively designed for use in this
unit and suitable filters of the correct size.
• Remove the filters and tap to remove the dust
trapped in them.
• Wash the filter every so often by hand in cool
soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water
to remove any remaining dust particles and
soap.
• WARNING! Only place the filter back into the
vacuum cleaner, when it is completely dry.

• Open the dust container lid and remove the
motor protection filter in order to clean the filter
compartment. When doing so, bear in mind the
advice for filter cleaning (see Fig. 6).
• Next, replace the cleaned filter or new filter
back into the filter compartment and close the
dust collector lid.
LOSS OF SUCTION
If you notice a reduction in suction power when
using your vacuum cleaner, please check and
correct the following possible causes:
• Hose, tube or nozzle is blocked.
• Dust collector is full.
• Motor protection filter is dirty.
• Dust collector lid is incorrectly closed.
• Opening of the dust collector is clogged.
• The ventilation holes in the suction hose are
open.
