1. Introduction
Welcome to the Club of e-scooter drivers!
We are happy to welcome you to the MODSTER M550/MK083 drivers community and we are sure you will enjoy this e-scooter!
This operating manual explains the most important points that should be observed, helps you to maintain your MODSTER e-Scooter and
describes the correct operation of the vehicle for a safe and long-term use. All information is based on the technical state at the time of the
constitution of this operating manual. Changes and additions made in the meantime are not included in this version. You can nd the latest
version of the manual online at www.modster.at.
If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact us by writing an email to [e-mail] and we will take care of a
quick and uncomplicated help.
WARNING
ATTENTION: Be aware that driving with electrical assistance needs getting used to. The acceleration and therefore the force for-
ward are very intense. This unusual acceleration can lead to falls of unexperienced drivers. Begin carefully and make sure you have
enough space. It is best to practice in a safe place without trac.
ATTENTION: In addition to the normal braking performance due to friction, when the discbrake is activated, the MODSTER M550/
MK083 brakes with an electric motor brake. This improves the braking performance massively and leads to a shorter braking dis-
tance. Please be aware, however, that the engine brake is not supported when:
• The battery is empty and therefore you drive with pure muscle power.
• The battery is 100% charged and therefore no energy can be regenerated.
The additional braking power of the engine brake is enormous and shortens the braking distance immensely. Be aware of this,
especially if the additional braking power is not present in the situations mentioned above.
ATTENTION: Always use the fender brake and let go of the accelerator pad to slow down and stop. Do not brake by using the sole
of your foot!
ATTENTION: Read this chapter completely before using the scooter! Improper operation of the device may result in damage to the
product or other property or serious injury.
ATTENION: Failure to exercise caution when using this product and disregard the following warnings may result in product mal-
function, electrical problems, excessive heat, re, and ultimately personal injury and property damage.

2. Important Notes & General Information Before Driving
General information
• The MODSTER M550/MK083 is designed for the transport of a single person up to max. 100 kg and should be used for this purpose only.
Failure to observe this warning is considered to be improper use and is at the user‘s own risk.
• All interventions to increase the performance or speed and generally to change the characteristics of the scooter are punishable and are
prosecuted by law. They will void the warranty.
• The road trac regulations must be observed at all times. You are obliged to inform yourself about applicable law in your country and
to comply with it.
• The MODSTER M550/MK083 is not a toy! It is not designed for the weight of children. We recommend a minimum age of 16 years and a
minimum weight of 25 kg.
Preparation for driving
• Choose a at road for your rst ride and make sure there are no obstacles in your environment.
• Check if the scooter has been fully extended and then correctly secured again.
• Make sure that the steering rods are screwed in properly and not loose.
• Check the eectiveness and correct function of your brake.
• Test the pedal screws and make sure that they are tightened.
• Check the battery charge and if it is sucient for your trip.
Safety informations
• Only drive on dry roads. Riding on wet oor coverings can be very dangerous and has to be avoided at all costs.
• Never drive with motor support on the sidewalk. This is not only dangerous for you and your fellow human beings, but also illegal in
many countries.
• Due to safety reasons do not drive in the dark.
• Always wear protective equipment, in particular a suitable helmet, which reliably protects you against head injuries.
• Never brake by rubbing on the ground with your sole! Always brake with the rear brake (foot brake)!
The battery is only partially charged. Charge the battery completely before using the vehicle for the rst time.
Please also note that depending on the country, dierent maximum speeds and restrictions regarding maximum power apply to electrically
assisted vehicles. It is your own responsibility to be informed accordingly and to stick to this.
Please always observe the laws and regulations applicable in your country regarding road trac and vehicle class. Keep in mind that legislati-
on may vary by country, and that MODSTER M550/MK083 has no road registration. Please also check out www.der.MODSTER.at.
Beware of steep slopes! The braking performance is not sucient in steep, rapid journeys to ensure a safe ride.
Drive slowly on your rst ride to get used to the new kind of driving. Keep in mind that a higher speed also results in a longer braking distance.
If the vehicle is wet or after cleaning the vehicle, the brake system can react delayed due to the moisture. After cleaning the scooter, take care
that the brakes are dried before using the vehicle again.
Each range information, as well as information on maximum speeds and incline ability are heavily dependent on parameters such as the state
of charge of the battery, condition of the ground, inclines or declines during the driving route, weight of the person driving, physical perfor-
mance by diving, or if available, use of the pedals, weather conditions, headwind and depending on other factors. Our information relates to
the optimal case.
For a long-term driving fun
Never use the MODSTER M550/MK083 on a wet road.
Do not jump with the scooter, as this will lead to excessive loads, which can result in damage to the scooter which is excluded from the war-
ranty. Be sure to avoid slopping holes at any time and drive at right angles over curbs and other obstacles.
Warranty notes
• The MODSTER M550/MK083 may only be used on dry ground, any ride on wet surfaces will void the warranty.
• Do not perform any independent repairs. Always contact your service center. Any opening of the scooter will lead to the automatic lapse
of the warranty. In individual cases, the manufacturer, in consultation with the customer, allows the opening of the footboard under
certain conditions.
• The„tuning“ of the M550/MK083 is forbidden. It endangers your own safety as well as operational safety and reduces the lifespan of your
vehicle. In addition, this will invalidate the warranty.

5. Warranty Policy
This scooter is strictly oer the after-sales service base on the Consumer Protection Law and Product Quality Law of China.
A) We oer 1 year warranty of main body of the scooter including the frame, motor, controller, handlebar, meter platform, rear wheel, brake
disc, folding mechanism, brake cable, and front fork.
B) Acessories like battery and home adapter oer 6 months warranty. The fender, tires, bell-set rear taillights foot pad, decorative cover etc
frequently contact part will be oer 3 months of warranty.
C) Free coming gift like hex wrench or extended air connector there is no warranty.
6. Non-warrant regulations
1. Unauthorized repair, malfunction, collision, negligence, abuse, infusion, accident and alteration, or any kind of improper use of the pro
duct accessories cause the result of damage of the unit itself.
2. Beyond the warranty time

4. Any man-made reason cause the damage.
5. If the product is used for the commercial use, it is not guaranteed.

7. Functions and instructions
1) Speed display: showing the running speed while riding
2) Model display: Green light is on when the power on in low speed mode rst and max speed it 15km/h, double press the
switch to change it to high speed mode with red light on and max speed is 25km/h.
3) Battery indicator: The battery light status will change from right to left: 4 lights on indicating battery between 86 to 100%;
3 lights on indicating battery between 71 to 85%; when the battery used up, all lights are extinct and the scooter will slide to
natural stop by inertia. Then time to recharge.
4) Power switch: When the scooter is power on, quick press the switch to turn on the vehicle, long press the switch for 2S, can
turn it o. After turning on the vehicle, quick press the switch: on/o the light.

1) The electric scooter is not a motor vehicle but once you are driving into a public area, you must obey the public regula-
tions and understand riding into the public would bring risks for you and others of injury. Read this user manual carefully
before you drive it.
2) Comply with all safety instructions while riding in the public area. Never forget there is a possibility of collision due
to the violation of pedestrians or vehicles trac rules. Improper operation will cause a risk of injury. Like any other kind
of vehicle, the higher speed you are riding, the bigger distance you need for braking. Emergency braking may cause
slippery on the smooth or wet road. Therefore, always keep a appropriate speed while you are riding this scooter, always
keep s safe distance from pedestrians and passing vehicles, pay more attentions on those road that you are not familiar.
3) Always respect the rights of pedestrians, do not scare them especially the children, while passing them, reduce your
speed. For the right-hand trac countries: if you are moving in the same direction with the pedestrians, stay in the left
side of the road as much as possible; if you are moving in the opposite direction, stay to the right and slow down.
4) Follow the Driving Regulations & Safety Instructions in your country. Violation of those rules may result in nes, per-
sonal injury or serious trac accidents, legal disputes, conict or any other unpleasant situations. Our company does not
bear any those directly or un-directly lost or injury liability.
5) Do not borrow this scooter to others who does not know how to ride for avoiding personal injury. Must take some time
to train him/her if you want to as well as require them to wear the proper safety gear.
6) Check the scooter carefully before you ride on it. If you nd parts broken, battery life has decreased obviously, at tire
or abnormal sounds or symptoms. STOP riding immediately and check or repair it rst.

13. Fold and transportation:
Make sure the scooter is o and open the folding wrench in the front bar like picture showing above. Dip down the front
bar to the hook in the rear fender and tie it up. When you want to use it the scooter again, just simply release the hook
and lift the front bar up and lock the wrench again.

Transportation:
After folding, carry the front bar with one hand or both hands to transport
1) Clean the electric scooter:
If you see any stains on this scooter surface, use a soft cloth to wipe it o. If the stain still there, then you can use the
toothpaste and a toothbrush to clean it and wipe it o with the soft cloth again. If you nd scratches on the plastic parts,
use the sandpaper or grinding materials for polishing.
Warning:
A) Do not use alcohol, petrol, kerosene or other corrosive and chemical material to clean the scooter, otherwise,
it will cause serious damage to the scooter body and even disrupt the internal functions.
B) Do not wash the electric scooter under a strong pressure of water, make the scooter is o while cleaning.
C) Insert the plug back after charging the scooter, or you may get an electrics shock or during the cleaning the
water may falling into to the charging port and cause the serious damage of the scooter.
2) Storage the electric scooter:
If you do not use the scooter, storage it in a dry, cool place and do not leave it in the street for a long time. Leave the
device under the extremely high or low temperature can shorter the life of the electric scooter or reduce the battery life.
3) Maintenance of electric scooter battery:
a) Do not use the batteries from the other factory to avoid the dangerous situation.
b) Do not disassemble the battery to prevent the electric shock. Avoid contact with metal objects to prevent an
occurrence for a short-circuit. Otherwise the battery may have malfunction or can injure the user.
c) It is recommended to use the home adapter that comes in original device to prevent accident or re of the
scooter.
d) Improper disposal of used batteries will cause severe environment pollution. Please dispose the battery accor
ding to the local laws, do not dispose it with the food waste and protect the environment together.
e) After each use of the device, charge the scooter would prolong its life

f) Do not storage the scooter battery with any places with temperature higher 50°C or lower than -20°C (For ex
ample, do not leave the scooter in the trunk in summer time). Do not leave the scooter near the re, and all
those actions may cause inammation.
g) If you don’t use the scooter within 30days, then charge the battery and keep the device in a cool and dry place.
Then you need to charge it every 60days, otherwise, it might cause failure, which is not included in warranty
services.
h) Avoid fully discharged the device for prolong the battery life. Using the device in normal room temperature, the
range will be bigger and the performance is better. If you use the scooter at the temperature below 0 °C, the
range and performance will be decreased.
i) At -20°C, the range is less than the scooter in normal temperature or even half, if the temperature rises, the
range will also increase. You can check the remained range in the APP.
Note: Fully-charge scooter standby time is 120 to 180 days, the battery has a smart-chip to monitor the charging and dischar-
ging information. If you are not changing the battery for a long time, it will cause the batteries die directly. Such kind of damage
is not included in the warranty services.
(Caution: Do not disassemble the device by the unauthorized person, this might cause electric-shock or serious injury from the
short-circuit.)
15. Adjusting the brake disc
If you feel the brakes are too tight, use the M5 hex wrench counterclockwise to release the plate screws on the disc,
slightly shorten the tail brakes cable then lock it up with plate screws; If you feel the brakes are too loose, release the plate
screws and slightly extend the tail brakes cable to the tail side and tighten the screws again.
16. Adjusting the front bar
If the front bar is shaking, use the M5 hex wrench to lock the two screws at the folding mechanism.

• the maximum total weight and load must not be exceeded. High loads in connection with overloading operation
of the device can lead to structural damage. Jumping with the device is not allowed and leads to loss of warranty, as
well as driving through potholes and the like. Driving on cobblestones leads to increased wear!
• Only one person is allowed to drive at the same time.
• The device is designed for operation on at, smooth surface. It must not be used on sandy, muddy, wet, slippery, icy
or snow-covered surfaces. Driving in rain and snow is not allowed.
• Do not disassemble or repair the device by yourself. This leads to loss of warranty.
• Do not store the device with empty batteries. You must check the charge state of the battery each month and
recharge if needed.
• Cleaning the device with high pressure cleaners or using a garden hose is not allowed.Wipe only with a damp cloth.
• Depending on the load, the device is subject to more or less severe wear. This can lead to deection of the steering,
wheel bearings, folding mechanism and the like; this is not covered by the warranty. Brakes, tires, drive chains and
sprockets are wearing parts and are also not covered by the warranty. The drive battery is designed for 200 charging
cycles. A gradual decrease in performance cannot be avoided and is not covered by the warranty.
• Store the device in a dry place at a temperature between 10°-30°C.
• Only use the original charger and never charge the battery unobserved.
• Do not exceed the design speed of the device. This can easily be exceeded, especially when driving downhill.

1. Einleitung
Herzlich Willkommen im Club der e-Scooter Fahrer!
Wir freuen uns sehr, Sie in der Community der MODSTER M550/MK083 Fahrer begrüßen zu dürfen und wir sind uns sicher, dass Sie sehr viel
Freude an diesem Elektroscooter haben werden!
Diese Betriebsanleitung erläutert für Sie die wichtigsten Hinweise, welche es zu beachten gilt, hilft Ihnen mit Tipps zur Wartung und Pege
Ihres MODSTER M550/MK083 und beschreibt den korrekten Betrieb des Fahrzeugs für eine sichere und langzeitige Nutzung.
Alle Angaben beruhen auf dem technischen Stand zum Zeitpunkt der Verfassung dieser Betriebsanleitung. In der Zwischenzeit vorgenom-
mene Änderungen und Ergänzungen sind allenfalls nicht in dieser Version enthalten. Sie nden die aktuellste Version der Betriebsanleitung
jeweils online unter www.modster.at.
WARNUNG: Lesen Sie dieses Kapitel zur Gänze bevor Sie das Modell in Betrieb nehmen! Fehlerhaftes Bedienen des Gerätes kann zu
Schäden am Produkt oder anderem Eigentum bzw. zu ernsthaften Verletzungen führen.
WARNUNG: Wenn Sie bei der Verwendung dieses Produkts keine Vorsicht walten lassen und die folgenden Warnhinweise nicht
beachten, kann dies zu Fehlfunktionen des Produkts, elektrischen Problemen, übermäßiger Hitze, Feuer und letztendlich zu Verlet-

WARNUNG
ACHTUNG: Seien Sie sich bewusst, dass das Fahren mit elektrischer Unterstützung gewöhnungsbedürftig ist. Die Beschleunigung
und damit die Kraft nach vorne sind um ein Vielfaches größer als bei einer normalen Kickbewegung. Diese ungewohnte Beschleu-
nigung kann bei ungeübten Fahrern zu einem Abheben des Vorderrads vom Boden und somit zu Stürzen führen. Beginnen Sie
vorsichtig und achten Sie immer darauf, tendenziell ein wenig Vorlage zu haben. Niemals nach hinten gebeugt fahren.
ACHTUNG: Neben der normalen Bremsleistung durch Betätigung der Scheibenbremse, bremst der MODSTER M550/MK083
zusätzlich mit elektrischer Motorenbremse. Dies verbessert die Bremsleistung massiv und führt zu einem kürzeren Bremsweg. Seien
Sie sich aber bitte bewusst, dass die Motorenbremse nicht unterstützt wenn:
• Die Batterie leer ist und Sie damit mit reiner Muskelkraft fahren.
• Die Batterie 100% geladen ist und darum keine Energie regeneriert werden kann.
Die zusätzliche Bremsleistung der Motorenbremse ist enorm und verkürzt den Bremsweg immens. Seien Sie sich dessen stets be-
wusst, vor allem dann, wenn die zusätzliche Bremsleistung in oben erwähnten Situationen nicht vorhanden ist.
ACHTUNG: Benützen Sie immer die Fußbremse und lassen Sie das Gaspedal los um zu verlangsamen und anzuhalten. Bremsen Sie
niemals mittels Fußsohle reibend auf dem Boden!

2. Wichtige Hinweise auf einen Blick
Allgemeine Hinweise
• Bitte beachten Sie stets die in Ihrem Land geltenden Gesetze und Verordnungen bezüglich Straßenverkehr und Fahrzeugklasse. Beachten
Sie dabei, dass die Gesetzgebung je nach Land unterschiedlich sein kann und der e-Scooter dementsprechend nicht in jedem Land auf
der Straße zugelassen ist. Ein Gebrauch außerhalb dieses Bereiches geschieht auf eigenes Risiko und ohne Haftung durch den Hersteller.
• Der e-Scooter ist für denTransport einer einzelnen Person bis max. 100 kg ausgelegt und sollte nur dafür benutzt werden. Nichtbeachten
dieses Hinweises gilt als unsachgemäßer Gebrauch und geschieht auf eigenes Risiko des Nutzers.
• Alle Eingrie zur Steigerung der Leistung oder Geschwindigkeit und allgemein zur Änderung der Merkmale des Scooters sind strafbar
und werden gesetzlich verfolgt. Sie führen zur Erlöschung der Garantie.
• Die Straßenverkehrsordnung muss jederzeit eingehalten werden. Sie sind dazu verpichtet, sich über geltendes Recht in Ihrem Land zu
informieren und dieses zu befolgen.
• Der e-Scooter ist kein Spielzeug! Es ist nicht für das Gewicht von Kindern ausgelegt. Wir empfehlen ein Mindestalter von 16 Jahren.
Vorbereitung auf das Fahren
• Wählen Sie eine ache Straße für Ihre erste Fahrt und und stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Hindernisse in Ihrer Umgebung vorhanden sind.
• Überprüfen Sie ob der Scooter vollständig ausgeklappt und anschließend wieder korrekt gesichert wurde.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Lenkstangen korrekt angeschraubt und nicht locker sind.
• Überprüfen Sie die Bremse auf Ihre Wirksamkeit und korrekte Funktion.
• Überprüfen Sie den Akku Ladestand und dass dieser für Ihre Fahrt ausreicht.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Fahren Sie nur auf trockener Fahrbahn. Die Fahrt auf nassen Bodenbelägen kann sehr gefährlich sein und ist zu vermeiden.
• Fahren Sie niemals mit Motorenunterstützung auf dem Gehweg. Dies ist nicht nur gefährlich für Sie und Ihre Mitmenschen, sondern in
vielen Ländern auch gesetzeswidrig.
• Wir empfehlen Ihnen aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht bei Dunkelheit zu fahren.
• Tragen Sie stets Schutzausrüstung, insbesondere einen geeigneten Helm der Sie zuverlässig vor Kopfverletzungen schützt.
Der Akku ist bei Auslieferung nur teilgeladen. Laden Sie den Akku vor der ersten Fahrt mit dem dafür vorgesehenen Ladegerät vollständig auf.
Bitte beachten Sie stets die in Ihrem Land geltenden Gesetze und Verordnungen bezüglich Straßenverkehr und Fahrzeugklasse. Beachten Sie
dabei, dass die Gesetzgebung je nach Land unterschiedlich sein kann und der MODSTER M550/MK083 über keine Straßenzulassung verfügt.

Bei Nässe oder nach einer Reinigung des Fahrzeugs kann durch die Feuchtigkeit die Bremsanlage verzögert ansprechen. Deshalb sollten die
Bremsen nach einer Reinigung des Scooters vorsichtig und auf sicherem Privatgelände „trocken gebremst“ werden.
Reichweitenangaben, sowie Angaben zu Höchstgeschwindigkeiten und auch Steigungsvermögen sind stark von Parametern wie Ladezu-
stand des Akkus, Beschaenheit des Untergrundes, Steigungen oder Gefälle während der Fahrtroute, Gewicht der fahrenden Person, kör-
perliche Eigenleistung durch Antauchen oder falls vorhanden, Nutzung der Pedale, Wetterbedingungen, Gegenwind und anderen Faktoren
abhängig. Unsere Angaben beziehen sich auf den Optimalfall.
Für dauerhaften Fahrspaß
• Benutzen sie den e-Scooter nie auf nasser Fahrbahn.
• Springen Sie mit dem Scooter nicht, da dies zu übermäßigen Belastungen führt und dadurch schlussendlich Schäden am Scooter entste-
hen können, welche von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind.
• Achten Sie darauf, Schlaglöchern stets auszuweichen und in einem rechten Winkel über Bordsteine und andere Hindernisse zu fahren.
Garantiehinweise
Der e-Scooter darf nur auf trockenem Boden gefahren werden, jegliche Fahrt auf nassen Belägen führt zum Erlöschen der Garantie.
Führen Sie keine selbständigen Reparaturen durch. Kontaktieren Sie immer Ihre Servicefachstelle. Jegliches Önen des Trittbretts führt zum
automatischen Erlöschen der Garantie. In Einzelfällen erlaubt der Hersteller, in Absprache mit dem Kunden, das Önen des Trittbretts unter
bestimmten Voraussetzungen.

5. Garantiebestimmungen
Dieser Scooter unterliegt den Nach-Verkaufs-Bedingungen des Verbraucherschutz-Gesetzes und des Produkt-Qualitäts-Gesetz von China.
A) Wir bieten 1-Jahres-Garantie für das Hauptgestell des Scooters, inklusive Rahmen, Motor, Kontroll-Einheit, Display, Standbrett, Hinterrad,
Bremsscheibe, Klappmechanismus, Bremsdraht und Frontgabel
B) Für Zubehör wie Akku und Ladekabel gilt eine 6-Monats-Garantie. Auf Schutzblech, Reifen, Rücklicht, Standbrett, Dekor-Cover und ähnli
che Teile beträgt die Garantie drei Monate.
C) Auf Gratis-Zubehör wie den Innensechskant-Schraubenschlüssel gilt keine Garantie.
6. Wegfall der Garantie
1. Die Garantie entfällt bei unautorisierter Reparatur, Kollision, Missbrauch, Vernachlässigung, Infusion, Unfall, Veränderungen oder jeder
Form von unangemessener Nutzung des Zubehörs, die/der/das in Schäden am Gerät verursachen.
2. Die Garantie entfällt, wenn die Garantie-Zeit abgelaufen ist.
3. Alle durch höhere Gewalt verursachten Schäden sind ebenfalls nicht dadurch gedeckt.
4. Auch alle von Menschen verursachten Schäden sind nicht von der Garantie gedeckt.
5. Wenn das Produkt für kommerzielle Zwecke genutzt wird, entfällt die Garantie ebenfalls.
Schlussendlich sind Reichweite und Höchstgeschwindigkeit stark von verschiedenen Faktoren abhängig, wie zum Beispiel:

• Eigenleistung des Fahrers
• Bodenbelag
• Außentemperatur
• Fahrergewicht
