power off at the service panel and lock the service
disconnecting means to prevent the power from
beingswitchedonaccidentally.Whentheservice
disconnectingmeanscannotbelocked,securely
fastenaprominentwarningdevice,suchasatag,
to the service panel.

accordance with all applicable codes and standards
including fire-rated construction.

the heating equipment manufacturer’s guidelines
and safety standards such as those published by
theNationalFireProtectionAssociation(NFPA),and

AirConditioningEngineers(ASHRAE),andthelocal
