WinFobikbasedvehicles,thesalescodemustbeaddedtothedatabaseandtheRestoreVehicleConfiguration
(usingadiagnosticscantool)mustbeperformedpriortoinstallingthenewWINmodule.Failuretodosowill
rendertheWINmodule’sremotestartfunctioninoperative.
Thetechnicianshouldwait1/2hourbetweenaddingXBMsalescodeinDealerConnectbeforeinstallingtheWIN
module&restoringvehicleconfiguration.Intheinterim,thetechniciancaninstallallothercomponentsexcept
theWINmodule.
NOTE:Itisrecommendedtoreadtheinstructionsthoroughlybeforeinstallingthisproduct.
PROCEDURESTEPS:
UPDATEVEHICLECONFIGURATION
NOTE:ThewiTECHsoftwarelevelmustbeatthelatestreleasetoperformthisprocedure.
1.VINmustbeupdatedwiththesalescodeoftheaddedaccessoryinordertoenablesystemfunctionality.Usingthe
DealerCONNECTwebsiteandthewiTECHdiagnosticapplication,completethevehicleconfiguration.
2.Logontohttps://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.
3.Inthe"VehicleOption"screenunderthe"GlobalClaimsSystem"categoryinthe"Service"tab,enterthevehicle
VIN,fourdigitpinnumberobtainedfromthedealershippartsdepartmentandaddsalescode(s)notedbelowasa
"DealerInstalledOption".

4.ConfirmthatthenewsalescodehasbeensuccessfullyaddedtotheVIN.
5.WiththewiTECHdiagnosticapplication,performthefollowingstepsformtheInitialStartUpScreen:

HOODSWITCHANDHARNESSINSTALLATION
NOTE:Itmaybenecessarytoloosenorremove
thebatterytoinstallthehoodswitch,bracketand
harness.
NOTE:Itmaybenecessarytorepositionorremove
theIntegratedPowerModule(IPM)toinstallthehood
switchandbracket.
1.Disconnectandisolatethenegativebatterycable.
2.Locatethehoodswitchmountinglocation,nearthe
batteryonthedriversideinnerfender(1).
3.Positionthehoodajarswitchbracket(2)ontothe
driversideinnerfender(1).
4.Installthemountingfastener(3)providedinthekitto
securethehoodajarswitchbrackettothedriverside
innerfender(1).Tightenthefastenersecurely.
NOTE:Ifequipped,itmaybenecessarytoreposition
orremovetheIntegratedPowerModule(IPM)tolocate
thefactoryhoodswitchharness.
5.Locatethehoodswitchharnesstakeoff(1)located
nexttothebatteryrunningundertheIPM,tapedonthe
existingvehicleharness.Ifthehoodswitchharness
takeoffisnotpresentontheexistingvehicleharness,
proceedtostep10.
6.Ifthehoodswitchtakeoffharness(1)ispresenton
theexistingvehicleharness,removethetapesecur
ingthetakeoffharness(1)fromthevehicleharness.
NOTE:Selfadjustmentofthehoodajarswitch
isaonetimefeature.Iftheswitchisdamaged,
ineffective,removedorrequiresreadjustment,it
mustbereplacedwithanewunit.
7.Positionthehoodajarswitch(1)neartheholeinthe
mountingbracket(2)ontheleftinnerfenderside
shield.
8.Pullthewireharnessconnector(3)throughtheswitch
mountingbracket(2)andconnectittothehoodajar
switch(1).
9.Fromthetopofthemountingbracket,pressthehood
ajarswitchdownward(1)intothemountingholeofthe
bracketuntiltheintegralswitchlatchtabslockitinto
place.

battery.
11.Installthehoodswitchgroundharnessgroundtermi
nalandinstallthevehiclegroundbolt(1)backintothe
innerfender.
12.RemovetheTIPMcover.
13.Removethepositivebatteryfeed(2)fromtheTIPM.
14.Usingaflatbladescrewdriver,releasetheTIPMre
tainingtabs(1)andliftuptoaccesstheTIPMharness
connectorslocatedunderneath.
15.Disconnecttheconnector(1)labeledD.

25.ReinstalltheTIPMcover.
NOTE:Selfadjustmentofthehoodajarswitch
isaonetimefeature.Iftheswitchisdamaged,
ineffective,removedorrequiresreadjustment,it
mustbereplacedwithanewunit.
26.Positionthehoodajarswitch(1)neartheholeinthe
mountingbracket(2)ontheleftinnerfenderside
shield.
27.Pullthewireharnessconnector(3)throughtheswitch
mountingbracket(2)andconnectittothehoodajar
switch(1).
28.Fromthetopofthemountingbracket,pressthehood
ajarswitchdownward(1)intothemountingholeofthe
bracketuntiltheintegralswitchlatchtabslockitinto
place.
29.Removethevehiclegroundbolt(1)locatednexttothe
battery.
30.Installthehoodswitchgroundharnessgroundtermi
nalandinstallthevehiclegroundbolt(1)backintothe
innerfender.

WIRELESSCONTROLMODULE(WCM)ANDREMOTESTARTANTENNAINSTALLATION
WARNING:Disabletheairbagsystembeforeattemptinganysteeringwheel,steeringcolumnorinstrument
panelcomponentdiagnosisorservice.Disconnectandisolatethenegativebattery(ground)cable,thenwait
twominutesfortheairbagsystemcapacitortodischargebeforeperformingfurtherdiagnosisorservice.This
istheonlysurewaytodisabletheairbagsystem.Failuretofollowtheseinstructionsmayresultinaccidental
airbagdeploymentandpossibleseriousorfatalinjury.
NOTE:Taketheproperprecautionstoprotectthefrontfaceoftheinstrumentpanelfromcosmeticdamage
duringthisserviceprocedure.
1.Disconnectandisolatethenegativebatterycable.
2.Usingatrimstickorequivalent,removethedoorscuff
panelandthelowercowltrimpanel.Repeatonoppo
siteside.
3.Usingatrimstickorequivalent,removetheendcap
(1)fromtheinstrumentpanel.Repeatonopposite
side.
4.Usingatrimstickcarefullyprybetweentheknob(1)
andtheplasticbezeltoremovetheshiftercoverfrom
theshifterknob(2).

5.Removethenut(1)fromtheshiftershaft.
6.Removetheshifterknobfromtheshiftermechanism
byfirmlypullingupward.
7.Removethescrews(1)fromthesteeringcolumn
openingcover.Thescrewsarelocatednearthehood
releasehandle.
8.Removethescrewlocatedontheoutboardsideat
tachingthesteeringcolumnopeningcover(1)tothe
instrumentpanelstructure.
9.Usingatrimstickorequivalent,removethesteering
columnopeningcover(1)fromtheinstrumentpanel.

10.Pushthetiltlever(3)downwardtothereleasedposi
tion.
11.Removethetwoscrews(1)attachingtheupper
shroudtothelowershroud.Afterremovingthe
screws,uncliptheupperandlowershroudsfrom
oneanotherbyapplyinghandpressurealongthe
seamswheretheshroudsconnectonthesides.
12.Removetheuppershroud.
13.Removetheremainingscrew(2)attachingthelower
shroud(4)tothecolumn.
14.Removethelowershroud.
15.Pushthetiltlever(3)upward,lockingthecolumnin
place.

55.Continueroutingtheantennaharness(1)behindthe
kneeblockertowardstheWINmodule(2).
56.DisconnecttheharnessfromtheWINmodule(2)and
discardtheoriginalWINmodule.
57.UsingthekitsuppliedWINmodule(2),connectthe
factoryharness(3)andtheantennaharness(1)tothe
WINmodule.
