1. Loo en one (1) 10mm bolt and di connect
negative battery cable
2. Open hood. Carefully pry off ix (6) panel clip from
the radiator cover panel. Remove the panel.
NOTE: IT IS RECO ENDED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ACCESSORY.
CAUTION: XB remote start can ONLY be installed on vehicles that have the following factory options: Automatic
Transmission, Remote Keyless Entry and Immobilizer. The XB sales code must be added to the database
and the Restore Vehicle Configuration (using a diagnostic scan tool) must be performed prior to installing the
new RFH module. Failure to do so will render the RFH module'92s remote start function inoperative. The
technician should wait 1/2 hour between adding XB sales code in DealerConnect before installing the RFH
module and restoring vehicle configuration. In the interim, the technician can install all other components except
the RFH module.
ADD SALES CODE TO VEHICLE IN DealerCONNECT. Obtain 4-digit PIN number from authorized dealer hip per onnel.
NOTE: The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.
NOTE: Vehicle VIN must be updated with the sales code of the added accessory in order to enable system
functionality. Using the DealerCONNECT web site and the scan tool, complete the procedure below:
1. Log on to http ://dealerconnect.chry ler.com.
2. In the "Service tab"-"Warranty Admini tration" box -"Vehicle Option Update " creen, enter the vehicle VIN and add
the ale code XBM (Remote tart) a a "Dealer In talled Option".
3. Confirm that the new ale code ha been ucce fully added to the VIN.
PROCEDURE STEPS:
WARNING: To avoid serious or fatal injury on vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the Supplemental Restraint
System (SRS) before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, airbag, seat belt tensioner, impact sensor
or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable,
then wait two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service.
This is the only sure way to disable the SRS. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental
airbag deployment.

hood latch on the radiator cro member.
Remove two (2) 10mm hex bolt from the hood latch
a embly.
4. Di connect and remove the hood latch relea e cable.
Remove the hood latch a embly.
5. Reconnect the hood latch relea e cable to the back of
new hood latch a embly. Po ition the new hood
latch (A) with the alignment mark and ecure with
two (2) hex bolt . Tighten bolt to 11 Nm (8 ft. lb .)

NOTE: A factory installed switch harness may be
present located behind the radiator just below the
upper radiator crossmember. If so, detach the
connector, route it under the crossmember and
plug it in to the hood latch assembly. If the harness
is not present, follow steps 6 through 12.
6. Connect hood witch harne (B) to the hood
latch a embly.
7. Route the witch harne (B) under the upper radiator
cro member and over toward the driver ide along
the exi ting vehicle harne . Secure with cable tie (E).
NOTE: Cable ties should be installed no farther
than 100mm apart.
8. Route the witch harne (B) under the driver ide
radiator mounting bracket. Carefully feed the harne
back toward the rear of the engine compartment by
routing it behind and under the fu e box and the
battery. Secure with cable ties every 100mm as
necessary (E).

10. Locate the rubber grommet at the back of the engine
compartment. Cut away the end of the acce nipple
and feed the end of harne (B) through to the in ide
driver footwell. Apply RTV ealant to the hood witch
wiring convolute and pull the wiring into the nipple
to eal the wiring at the nipple.
11. Remove two fa tener at the bottom of the trim panel
under the teering wheel and carefully pry off the hood
relea e latch. Di connect the data link connector and
pry off the trim panel. Pull the Switch Harne (B)
through to the in ide footwell.
9. At the fender edge next to the battery, remove the
exi ting ground wire hex nut. Po ition the ground
ring terminal from the main harne (B) and reattach
the nut to ecure.

13. Loo en the two (2) 7mm amplifier bracket
mounting crew .
14. Loo en the one (1) 7mm amplifier bracket mounting
crew located at the top of the bracket. Remove the
amplifier and bracket a embly from the vehicle.

13. Pre in on the relea e tab at the back of
the connector and lide the plug out from the
outer ca ing.

12. Locate the BCM up behind the left ide of the da h.
Locate and remove the top left connector from the
BCM a indicated.

14. Locate Pin 11 on the connector.
NOTE: If Pin 11 has a factory harness wire present,
remove the factory wire and tape it back on
the harness.
18. Bundle and tow any exce harne under the da h
with cable tie . Reconnect the data link connector
and hood relea e latch and rein tall the trim panel
under the teering wheel. Rein tall two (2) fa tener
under the bottom edge of the panel.
15. In ert the tab wire connector from witch harne (B)
into Pin 11 on the connector.
16. Rein tall the outer ca ing and plug the connector
back into the BCM.
17. If necessary, rever e tep 12 - 14 to rein tall the
audio amplifier.

25. Remove one (1) bolt attaching the center houlder
belt to the retractor. Po ition the houlder belt
out of the way.
26. Remove the rear outer bolt , rear inner bolt and
buckle a nece ary.
27. Remove the front fa tener . Lift the eat a emblie up and eparate three (3) cab hook from the rear loop .
Remove the eat a embly from the vehicle.

NOTE: The following interior trim panels need to be
removed to allow the headliner to be lowered. This is
necessary to properly mount the Antenna odule.
A-PILLAR RE OVAL
STANDARD CAB ONLY
29. U e a trim tick to pry open two (2) fa tener cover
in the driver ide A-pillar trim panel. Remove two
fa tener from the A-pillar trim panel. Remove the
panel from the vehicle.
NOTE: Passenger side A-pillar does not need to
be removed.
28. IF REAR STORAGE TRAY IS PRESENT
Remove three (3) fa tener from the bottom of the
torage tray. Remove the torage tray from the vehicle.
B-PILLAR RE OVAL
STANDARD CAB
30. Remove the lower eatbelt anchor bolt. Separate the
forward clip. Separate the remaining retaining clip
and remove the lower trim panel.

upper trim panel and relea e any retaining clip .

34. U e a trim tick to remove the two fa tener cover
at the grab handle. Remove two (2) fa tener from
the grab handle and remove the grab handle from the
B-pillar. Remove the eat belt turning loop cover and
remove the turning loop bolt. U e a trim tick to
relea e all retaining clip and remove the trim panel
from the B-pillar. Remove the eat belt from the trim
panel and remove the panel from the vehicle.
C-PILLAR RE OVAL

35. U e a trim tick to remove the eat belt turning loop
cover. Remove the turning loop bolt. Remove the
lower eatbelt anchor bolt. Relea e the lower and
upper trim panel retaining clip . Remove the lower
and upper trim panel from the vehicle.
QUAD CAB
36. U e a trim tick to remove the eat belt turning loop
cover. Remove the turning loop bolt. Remove the
lower eatbelt anchor bolt. Relea e the lower and
upper trim panel retaining clip . Remove the lower
and upper trim panel from the vehicle.

BACK PANEL TRI RE OVAL
37. If equipped with utility hook , u e a trim tick to
di engage the latch for the utility hook cover.
Open the cover and remove one (1) fa tener.
Remove all utility hook .

38. Remove the lower eat belt anchor.
Remove the rear trim panel from the vehicle.
FOUR DOOR
39. Remove the child afety eat tether trap and the
center eat belt trim bezel from the rear panel.
Remove three (3) pu h pin fa tener from the panel.
Remove the rear trim panel from the vehicle.

42. Remove the fa tener and the two (2) hook from
the back edge of the headliner. Carefully pry down
the headliner far enough to locate the antenna
mounting hole above the rear window.
40. Locate the exi ting RF Hub Module on the back
wall of the cab. Di connect all harne connector .
Remove two (2) pu h pin fa tener . Remove the
RF Hub Module.
41. Place the new RF Hub Module (C) into po ition.
Secure the RF Hub Module to the wall with two (2)
pu h pin fa tener provided (F) and reconnect all
harne connector .

43. Po ition the Antenna Module (D) above the rear
window. Secure in place by pre ing two (2) chri tma
tree fa tener (J) into the mounting hole provided.
44. Plug the jumper cable (G) into the antenna module.
Route the jumper cable out toward the C-pillar.
45. Route the cable (G) down along the C-pillar and
ecure every 150mm with Strap Tape (I) a hown.
NOTE: Be sure not to interfere with the seat belt
mechanism in any way.

47. Check all wiring and trim all cable tie .
48. Reverse step 42 to reinstall the headliner.
49. Reverse steps 19 through 39 as needed to reinstall interior trim panels.
50. Reverse steps 1 and 2 to reinstall radiator cover panel and reconnect battery.
46. Plug the jumper cable (G) into the RF Hub module (C)
behind the rear eat. Secure the cable along the rear
wall every 150mm with Strap Tape (I).

PROGRA NEW IGNITION KEYS
NOTE: The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.
NOTE: A maximum of eight keys can be learned to the Radio Frequency Hub odule (RFH ).
NOTE: The original vehicle FOBiKs CANNOT be reused.
1. With the wiTECH tool elect RADIO FREQUENCY HUB (RFHM).
2. Select MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS.
3. Select  PROGRAM IGNITION FOBiKS BASELINE SYSTEM. Following the prompt to learn
the new keyfob.
4. Place an unprogrammed FOBiK into the ignition. The ignition mu t be in LOCKED tate (off).
5. Follow wiTECH on creen prompt to program the fir t FOBiK.
6. Repeat thi procedure to program the econd FOBiK.
7. Place the mechanical (emergency) key hank into the newly learned remote tart FOBiK .
AFTER PROGRA ING IGNITION KEYS
1. Di connect wiTECH tool from vehicle.
2. Remove key from ignition witch.
3. Wait a minimum of 1 minute.
4. Reattach wiTECH tool.
UPDATE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION
NOTE: The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.
1. With the wiTECH tool connected to both the internet (via Ethernet port or wirele connection)
and the vehicle, follow the tep below:
2. Place the ignition into RUN u ing one of the new programmed FOBiKS. The clu ter will light up
and the BCM will power up.
3. U e wiTECH tool to run Re tore Vehicle Configuration which can be found in the Vehicle
Preparation tab of the main topology creen. Following the prompt will upload the new vehicle
configuration to the BCM.
4. Cycle the ignition off and then back on.
PROGRA ING THE RADIO FREQUENCY HUB ODULE
1. U e the programmed key to place the ignition into RUN tate.
2. U e wiTECH tool to run the RF-Hub Replace which can be found in the RF Hub - Mi cellaneou
Function Tab.
3. Cycle ignition OFF and then back ON.
4. The vehicle mu t be driven to at lea t 35 MPH to activate the remote tart before the following
procedure will be available in BCM.
TE PORARY RE OTE START DISABLE
1. Select BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM).
2. Select TEMPORARY REMOTE START DISABLE.
3. Following the prompt , verify the remote tart i enabled.
4. The clu ter will chime everal time , then both clu ter and BCM will be re et.
CLEAR ALL DTC'S
NOTE: The wiTECH diagnostic application is the preferred method for clearing all DTC's.
TEST THE RE OTE START
With the vehicle off, and the door clo ed and locked, verify the remote tart i functioning properly.

1. Déconnectez le câble négatif de laccumulateur en
desserrant un (1) boulon de 10 mm.
2. Open hood. Carefully pry off six (6) panel clips from
the radiator cover panel. Remove the panel.
REMARQUE: AVANT D' NSTALLER CET ACCESSO RE, L SEZ ATTENT VEMENT CES NSTRUCT ONS.
ATTENT ON : Le démarreur à distance XBM s'installe SEULEMENT sur les véhicules équipés des options d'usine
suivantes : boîte de vitesses automatique; accession sans clé et antidémarrage à distance. Le code de vente XBM doit
être ajouté à la base de données et la Configuration de restauration du véhicule (à l'aide de l'outil de diagnostic à
balayage de codes) AVANT d'installer le nouveau module RFHM. Ne pas se conformer à cette directive rendra la fonction
de démarrage à distance 92 du module RFHM non fonctionnelle. Le technicien devra attendre 30 minutes après avoir
ajouter le code de ventes XBM au système DealerConnect et ensuite installer le module RFHM et restaurer la configuration.
Entre-temps, le technicien peut poser tous les autres composants, sauf le module RFHM.
AJOUTER CODE DE VENTE DE VEH CULE EN DealerCONNECT. Contacter personnel des concessionnaires autorisés
pour le code PIN à 4 chiffres.
REMARQUE: Assurez-vous que la dernière version du logiciel est installée WiTech avant de commencer.
Pour mettre le système à jour, le NIV du véhicule doit être saisi avec le code de vente de laccessoire ajouté. En étant
connecté au site eb DealerCONNECT et à laide du balayeur de codes, suivez la procédure suivante:
1. Ouvrez une session à https://dealerconnect.chrysler.com
2. Sous longlet de Service, à lintérieur de la case Administration de garantie, localisez « Vehicle Option
Updates » (mises à jour des options de véhicules). Saisissez le code VIN du véhicule et ajoutez le code
de ventes XBM (Démarrage à distance) comme "Option Installée par un concessionnaire".
3. Confirmation que le nouveau code de vente a bien été ajouté au NIV.
ÉTAPES DE LA PROCÉDURE:
AVERT SSEMENT : Pour éviter toute blessure grave ou fatale sur les véhicules équipés de sacs gonflables, mettez
hors de service le système de retenue supplémentaire (SRS) avant de faire toute intervention de diagnostique
ou d'entretien sur un élément tel le volant, la colonne de direction, sac gonflable, tendeur de ceinture de sécurité,
capteur d'impact ou de composants du tableau de bord. Débranchez et isolez le câble négatif de batterie (mise
à la masse), attendez ensuite deux minutes afin que le condensateur de système se décharge avant de faire tout
autre diagnostic ou entretien. C'est la seule façon sécuritaire de désactiver le SRS. Ne pas prendre ces précautions
pourrait résulter au déploiement accidentel d'un sac gonflable.
