Before You Start
Thank you for choosing Motorola Smart Safe. Your safe is designed to provide you with a sense of
security while you store your small valuables and sensitive medications. Make sure to review the
materials included with your safe carefully and retain them for future reference.
There are two primary things to consider when setting up your Smart Safe: where you want to
install it and if you choose to connect it to the internet to enable the 24/7 real-time security alerts
and notifications on your smartphone.
Wi-Fi Requirements
Your new safe requires a 2.4GH Wi-Fi network connection for smartphone usage.
Dual-band routers with a 5GHz band may cause interference. If you are having trouble connecting
your safe, confirm that you are attempting to connect to a 2.4GH connection and turn off the
5GHz band. Alternatively, use separated networks with dedicated SSIDs to connect the safe.
Proper Usage
Your safe is intended to be used in a secure indoor location away from active sources of water
and other similar environmental elements.
Do NOT store any life-saving medication in your safe at any time.
Hide the registration card and backup keys in a secure location to prevent unauthorized access to
the safe.
Feature/Part/Component overview
Your Smart Safe shipped with a variety of parts. Before setting up your safe, review your shipment
contents and compare them to the Box Contents section for your Smart Safe in this manual.
