Thank you for choosing Multitek MBT-70 video door phone. This document contains detailed
information about MBT-70 device features.
MULTITEK MBT-70 HAS WARRANTY FOR 2 YEARS AGAINST MANUFACTURING DEFECTS.

1. SAFETY WARNINGS
For your own safety and device safety, please follow the instructions below:
1. Read the user manual carefully.
2. Read the safety warnings carefully.
3. Remarks about Transport, Shipment and Preservation:
- During transportation and shipment conserve the product with its case. Casing protects product against physical damages.
- Do not put heavy weighted items on the product or the product case. The product might be damaged.
- In case of falling, product might be damaged which will make it non-operational.
- In case of extreme air conditions (extremely hot or cold weather) disruption might be faced. Life time of electronic circuits
tend to decrease in such conditions.
4. Situations that might be dangerous to human and natural environment:
- Beware of the sharp pointed edges of the case
- Recycle product case in proper recycling bin
5. Maintenance of the product
- The product does not need periodic maintenance. For maintenance and repair please consult to the authorized services
- By using dry cloth, product can be wiped periodically
- It is advised to keep the product in its case when it’s not mounted
- Before cleaning the product, unplug all connections. Be careful that the cleaning material does not contain any solvent
such as alcohol, gasoline or thinner.
6. Place the product on a plain and stable wall.
7. To prevent any kind of electrical shock, use the product with its original cable.
8. Do not put any foreign substances in the product. Do not try to open it with devices that might cause electrical shock.
9. Use only authorized services for maintenance and repair
10. Remarks about the energy consumption of the product:
This product is designed to work 24/7. Yet to prevent energy consumption, it should be unplugged when it will not be used
for a long period of time. User should be aware that, each of the terminal stations that are left on use energy that is not
needed.
In case of malfunctioning please consult to an authorized service.

4. WALL MOUNT
Drill holes in the wall, which is fit for wall mount apparatus
Install wall mount apparatus to the wall on a horizontal surface with pegs and screws. Cables
must pass through the middle of the wall mount apparatus
Connect cables with connectors by ensuring isolation by using insulation material (i.e.
insulating tape)
Connect connectors to designated slots on the device
Install intercom device to wall mount apparatus by using apparatus’s slots

6. MAIN FUNCTIONALITIES
MBT-70 screen is off during sleep mode, when screen is tapped the monitor wakes up with main screen
shown on Figure 6-1. If there is no interaction, the monitor turns off and turns back to sleep mode in
2 minutes.
In the main screen, “Intercom”, “Monitor”, “Cameras” and “Setup” icons are present.
Note: If you are using MBT-70 with optional alarm and automation functionalities, two additional icons
appear on the main screen., please find additional information in section 9.

a. Intercom
Press “intercom” icon to open intercom options. (Figure 6-2)

Doorkeeper, 1st
Guard, 2nd Guard
Used to call predefined numbers assigned to guards and doorkeeper. If
there is no gatekeeper or guard in the building, these icons will not work,
but they will still be present. Simply tap icons to call doorkeeper / guards.
Indoor
Used in rooms that have additional indoor panels in front of their doors.
Video communication is possible by tapping this icon.
Dial
Used for calling other predefined numbers.
Home
Used to turn back to the main screen. (Figure 6-1)
Don’t Disturb
If you do not want your bell to ring for the whole duration, and you just want
to hear the ringing tone for a few seconds, select “Don’t Disturb”. When
there is a “don’t” sign present it is on, then “Don’t Disturb” is activated.

b. Monitor
Press “Monitor” icon to reach outdoor video view. (Figure 6-3)
Hide Icons
Turn on/off icon appearance on the screen. When icons are hid, there is no
icon on the camera view
Settings
Brightness, colour and volume level adjustments (Figure 6-4)
Call
By tapping this icon, voice communication is established between the monitor
and the door panel (Figure 6.5).
Unlock
Outdoor lock is released by this icon
Close
Outdoor video view is closed and user turns back to main screen (Figure 6-1)

c. Cameras
Tap “Cameras” to view all cameras. Please beware all cameras might not be active.

Tap the camera that you want to connect and view. Other than outdoor camera, indoor door camera
and security cameras; up to 5 additional external cameras can be connected.
d. Setup
Tap “Setup” icon to make adjustment and update setup. (Figure 6-7). This screen is used to
program automation features.

RING
Tap “Ring” icon to turn on ring options. (Figure 6-8). User can allocate
different melodies for different callers and make adjustments on the ring
level. Outdoor, indoor and guard melodies can be selected and each
callers’ volume can be adjusted from Ring menu. After volume level and
melody is chosen press “Save and Exit”; if you do not want to save press
“Unsave and Exit”
DOOR NUMBER
This screen is for configuration. When “door number” is tapped, a
keypad appears (Figure 6-9).
Only the installer should set this number, since all numbers in the
building should be unique. Please do not change this number if you are
not a technician, to prevent any problems.
Door number should be 3-digit number. (i.e. 003 or 001)
DOOR
PASSWORD
Each room can set her own unique outdoor password which is a special
functionality of MBT-70.
When Door Password icon is tapped, a keypad appears (Figure 6-9)
Define 4-digit password using the keypad.
After the password is set, tap 99+ your password from the main entrance
door to release the door lock.
Door password has security restrictions to increase security. (i.e. no
recurrent or sequential numbers like 1111, 4567 can be entered)
ALARM SETUP
Alarm configurations and setup (i.e. siren ring duration, alarm duration)
are completed from this menu. This feature is optional, please consult
your installer. For further information please refer to “Alarm Features”.
ABOUT
Device information such as application software version and allocated
room number information appears in this screen.
FACTORY SETUP
Ring options defined from “Ring” menu returns back to factory settings.
Pressing this icon does not reset room number or technical
configurations.
ELEVATOR
This icon is used to enter floor information to call the elevator. This
feature is optional, please consult your installer. Check section 8 for
additional information.
SMART HOME
Smart home configurations are completed from this menu. Please
beware this feature is optional, in case of any problem please consult
your technician.

7. INDOOR DOOR PANEL CONNECTION (OPTIONAL)
(FOR V TYPE MONITORS)
Additional indoor panel can be connected to MBT-70 monitors. This additional door panel is usually
located on villa doors, single apartment doors; where in front of door’s view is preferred to be
monitored.
In these cases, indoor door panel and MBT-70 are connected as shown in Figure 7-1. The diagram is
depicted for two different types of indoor monitors: RL037-M (MB-09M-PA) and DYF04 (1-2) V.

8. ELEVATOR CALLING MODULE (OPTIONAL)
If your building has the elevator calling feature (this is an optional feature enabled with elevator calling
module, please consult your technician for additional information), you can call your building’s
elevator to your floor before you leave your apartment.
To complete setup, tap “Elevator” icon from “Setup” menu in the main screen. (Figure 6-7)

After you enter floor information, “Elevator” icon will appear in the main screen. Use this icon to call
elevator to your designated floor.

9. SMART HOME FEATURES (OPTIONAL)
Smart home is an optional feature for MBT-70 monitors, please consult your technician for additional
information. If you have smart type MBT-70, you can control 4 devices or systems (i.e. electricity,
water, gas). Smart MBT-70 devices have elevator, alarm and smart home icons as default.

Tap “Smart Home” icon to control 4 control points individually or as a group. 4 control points are
named as 1-2-3-4 from left to right.

Smart Home Settings
To setup relay timing, define “in home” and “out of home” scenarios; go to “Setup” and then to "Smart
Home” in the main page. (Figure 6-7)
To start any configuration, you will be required to enter the program code of the activity that you want
to do.

a. Defining relay names
To enter relay names and see them as desired in the screen, user can enter the code for each relay and
then enter the name (max 12 characters)
Enter *011 and tap for relay no 1.
Enter *012 and tap for relay no 2.
Enter *013 and tap for relay no 3.
Enter *014 and tap for relay no 4.

b. Defining scenarios
If you want selected relays to turn off (i.e. gas and water) when you are leaving your home, “out of
home” scenario should be designed accordingly.
*02XYZT :XYZT (1-4) are relay numbers. Controls all 4 relays (XYZT) at the beginning. If you press
*02 nothing happens. You need to enter all relays according to your needs.
For example, if you enter *02 2 3 , only 2 and 3 are controlled.
If you want to control gas, water and electricity press *02 1 2 3
c. Converting relay contact position
Relay contacts are in open position as default. According to the needs of the controlled devices, relay
contacts can also work with closed status in closed circuits.
All relay contacts work with open status by entering *03
To update relay contact working status, check the following options.
Enter *03 1 to make relay number 1 work in closed status

For example, if you want to update all gas (1), water (2) and electricity (3) with closed circuit
Enter *03 1 2 3
d. Setting relay duration timing
User can define relay hold duration.
For example, if you want to set relay duration 30 seconds for relay number 1:
-Enter *04 1 30 so that relay number 1 will be hold for 30 seconds. During this time, you
can cancel the relay by pressing close
If you want to set infinite time for relay number 3:
-Enter *04 1 30 . 00 is the starting position
e. Activating siren during alarm setup
Go to “Smart Home” from “Setup” in the main screen.
If you press *051 and press call button, siren is activated during setting an alarm
If you press *052 and press call button, siren is not activated during setting an alarm

10. TROUBLESHOOTING
a. There is no sound or sound level is very low
Check speaker level (Figure 6-4) from Screen Settings menu
b. Ring level is very low or there is no ringing
Check ring sound level settings from Ring Options (Figure 6-8)
c. Video problem
Check brightness level of the screen from Screen Settings (Figure 6-4)
d. Unlocking problem
Connect to the door with icon
Unlock the door by pressing icon
