1.适用范围与用途 Application Scope and Purpose
NDM3EU 系列产品是符合 UL489 相关内容认证的塑料外壳式断路器。该产品是我司针对北美市场需
求开发的符合 UL489 标准。该系列产品额定绝缘电压 AC800V,适用于交流 50/60Hz 配电系统,额定工作
电压至 AC600V,额定电流至 400A,用于过载和短路保护。具有过载长延时反时限,短路瞬时,短路短延
时保护功能,可以保护线路和电源设备免受损坏,产品符合 RoHS 标准。
具有隔离功能,其相应符号为: ;
同时符合标准:IEC60947-2、GB/T 14048.2、TUV
NDM3EU series products are Electronic Molded Case Circuit Breakers which are satisfied UL489.The
product is developed by our company for the North America market demand,and it meets the UL489 standard
molded case circuit breaker product.The rated insulation voltage of the product is 800VAC,which is suitabke for
AC power distribution system with 50Hz/60Hz,rated working voltage up to 600VAC,rated working current up to
400A for overload and short circuit protection.With overload long delay inverse time limit,short circuit
transient,short circuit short delay protection function,it can protect the line and power equipment from
damage.The product is RoHS compliant.
The circuit breaker has an isolating function with the corresponding symbol of ;

3.2 NDM3EU 控制器电流、时间调整 Current and time adjustment of NDM3EU controller.
控制器电流、时间的调整必须由专业技术人员负责。
Adjustment of current and time of the controller should be carried out by specialized technical
personnel.
3.2.1 NDM3EU 控制器控制面板图及参数组成

断路器控制面板组成部分:
Components of the breaker’s control panel:
(1)测试端口 TEST;
(2)过载长延时整定电流 Ir;
(3)长延时整定时间 Tr;
(4)短路短延时整定电流 Isd;
(5)短路短延时整定时间 Tsd;
(6)短路瞬时整定电流 Ii;
(7)电源指示灯 Power;
(8)过载指示灯 Over.
控制器控制面板见下图 1:
(1) Test port;

3.2.2 NDM3EU 控制器控制面板各部分功能 Functions of each part in control panel of NDM3EU controller
(1)测试端口 Test port
即“TEST”端口,NDM3EU 专用测试仪通过该端口与控制器相连,进行测试及调试等操作。
That is, the "TEST" port, the NDM3EU dedicated tester is connected to the controller through this port for
testing and debugging operations.
(2)电流、时间调节旋钮 Current and time adjustment knob
可通过电流、时间旋钮的调节,选择适当的组合以达到保护线路、保护设备的作用。此项操作必须由
专业技术人员进行。
注:Tr 表示当实际电流为 Ir 整定值的 2倍时,断路器动作时间。
如:当 Ir 整定为 400、Tr 整定为 12s 时,当主回路电流为 2×400A 时,断路器将持续 12s 时后断开主
回路。动作时间精度为±10%。
在过载电流下,断路器断开主回路的时间遵循以下公式 :t=(2*Ir/I)2*Tr
I——表示过载情况下,主回路实际电流值。
The current and time knobs can be adjusted to select the appropriate combination to protect the circuit and
protect the device. This operation must be performed by a professional technician.
Note: Tr indicates the breaker operating time when the actual current is twice the Ir setting value.
For example, when Ir is set to 400 and Tr is set to 12s, when the main circuit current is 2×400A, the circuit
breaker will continue to open the main circuit after 12s. The operating time accuracy is ±10%.
With overload current, the time when the circuit breaker opens the main circuit follows the formula:
t= (2*Ir/I)2*Tr
I—— indicates the actual current value of the main circuit with overload conditions.
3.2.3 指示灯 Indicator light
(1)电源指示灯 Power
控制器处于工作状态时指示灯闪亮。
The indicator light flashes when the controller is in operation.
(2)过载指示灯 Overload
过载指示灯常亮时,表示实际电流超过了过载长延时整定电流值 Ir 的1.15 倍,处于过载状态,并经
一定的时间后断路器将断开

When the overload indicator is always on, it means that the actual current exceeds 1.15 times of the overload
long delay setting current value Ir, which is in an overload state, and the circuit breaker will be disconnected after
a certain time.

3.3.2 控制器整定值
(1)过载长延时保护 (见表 5)Overload long-time delay protection (Table 5)
过载长延时保护基于电流的真有效值(RMS),用来对过负荷进行保护。
Overload long-time delay protection is basic on the RMS of current, which is used to protect the load.

2)过载长延时具有热记忆功能,在产品脱扣后的 30min(NDM3EU-225)/20min(NDM3EU-400)内有效
(NDM3EU-225 需要 DC24V 辅助电源)
当第一次脱扣的能量是 QT =(2 * Ir)2* T 时,T是行程时间。 能量 Q1 在间隔 T1 = QT×T1 / Tthm
时损失,第二次脱扣所需的能量为 Q0,即第二次脱扣时间为 t =(QT-Q1)/(2 * Ir)2; 有关热记忆功能,

The overload long delay has a thermal memory function, which can be activated 30minutes (NDM3EU-225)
/ 20 minutes (NDM3EU-400) after the tripping of the circuit breaker .(NDM3EU-225 requires DC24V auxiliary
power supply to realize this function).
When the energy of the first trip is QT = (2 * Ir) 2* T, T is the trip time. The energy Q1 lost at interval T1 =
QT×T1/Tthm, the energy required for the second trip is Q0, that is, the second trip time is t = (QT - Q1) / (2* Ir) 2;
For thermal memory function, please contact the manufacturer.
3)短路短延时保护(见表 6)Short circuit short-time delay protection (Table 6)
短延时保护防止配电系统的阻抗性短路。分成两段:反时限段,定时限段。
Short circuit short-time delay protection is used to prevent short cirtuit of power distribution system,which is
divided into two parts: inverse time and fixed time

瞬时保护功能防止配电系统的金属性固体短路,此类故障短路电流比较大,需要快速断开。

4.2 使用环境 Environment for application
(1)不要安装于含有爆炸气体的环境里,否则有引发爆炸的危险;
(2)请勿安装于特别潮湿的地方;
(3)不要安装在外磁场大于地磁场 5倍的地方,否则断路器不能正常工作;
(4)不要安装在振动大于 10m/s2的地方;
(5)不要安装在气体介质能腐蚀金属和破坏绝缘的地方。
(6)温度降容。
(1) Do not install the breaker in explosive environment, or hazard of explosion will be resulted;
(2) Do not install the breaker in extremely humid locations;
(3) Do not install the breaker in places where external magnetic field is more than 5 times of the
geomagnetic field, or the breaker cannot work normally;
(4) Do not install the breaker in places with vibration more than 10m/s2;

(5) Do not install the breaker in places with gaseous medium corrosive to metal and aggressive to
insulation.
(6) De-rating for temperature and altitude.

4.3 当环境温度为+40℃,海拔高度大于 2000 米时,考虑到空气的绝缘特性和冷却能力,脱扣特性将
有变化,对 NDM3EU-225/400 应予修正(见表 11)
When the working environment is +40℃,altitude is over 2000m,which is considered by the insulation and
cooling of air, the tripping curve will change which must be modified. See table below for both
NDM3EU-225/400.
