General safety instrucons
This machine can cause serious injuries. Read the instrucons carefully for the correct handling, preparaons, maintenance, starng and stopping of the ma-
chine. Be familiar with all controls and the proper use of the machine.
Keep this manual handy so that you may refer to it later whenever any quesons arise. Also note, if you have any quesons which cannot be answered herein,
contact the dealer from whom you purchased the product.
Never allow children or anyone unable to fully understand the direcons given in the manual to use the machine.
Personal safety equipment
When cung, make sure to wear the following safety equipment:
1. Helmet
2. Ear protectors
3. Protecon goggles or face protector
4. Thick work gloves
5. Non-slip-sole work boots
Do not wear loose clothing, jewellery, short trousers, sandals, or go barefoot. Do not wear anything which might be caught by a moving part of the unit. Secure
hair so it is above shoulder length.
Work place
Never start the engine inside a closed room or building. Exhaust gases contain dangerous carbon monoxide.
Never use the product:
A. When the ground is slippery or when you can’t maintain a steady posture.
B. At night, at mes of heavy fog, or at any other mes when your eld of vision might be limited and it would be dicult to gain a clear view of the working
area.
C. During rain storms, during lightning storms, at mes of strong or gale-force winds, or at any other mes when weather condions might make it unsafe to
use the product.
•The machine may not be used unless it is undamaged and funcons properly. If the equipment or parts of it have become defecve, have it repaired by a
specialized technician.
•Always obey the current naonal and internaonal safety, health, and working regulaons.
• Do not operate the machine unless you did not nd any faults on checking. If a part has become defecve, make sure to replace it before you use the machine
again.
• The environment must be free of easily ammable and explosive materials.
•Do not overload the machine. Use the machine only for its intended purpose.
•Always work with care, and stay alert: Do not operate the machine when you are red, ill, or under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or medicaon, as you will
no longer be able to operate the machine safely.
Before starng the machine
•Make sure that no persons or animals are within your work area when you start working.
•Make sure there are no obstacles in your work area.
•Ensure that your machine has been fully and properly assembled.
•Check that the machine works properly and make sure, in parcular, that the chain rail or hedge trimmer head sits ghtly and properly, and that the On/O
switch works properly. Do not operate the machine with a damaged or extensively worn cung device.
•The machine will vibrate during operaon. This may cause its screws and parts to loosen. Therefore, check all screws and parts for ghtness.
Using the product
Warning: Cut only materials recommended by the manufacturer. And use only for tasks explained in the manual.
•Keep bystanders and animals at least 15m away from the operang point. If you are approached immediately stop the engine.
•Grip the handles rmly with both hands using your whole hand.
•Assume a rm standing posion during operaon:
Make sure you cannot slip or fall over.
Do not stretch your arms too far in front of you.
Do not work above shoulder level.
•Aer starng the engine, check to make sure that the cung aachment stops rotang when the throle is moved fully back to its original posion. If it
connues to rotate even aer the throle has been moved fully back, turn o the engine and take the unit to the dealer for repair.
•If the unit starts to shake or vibrate, turn o the engine and check the whole unit. Do not use it unl the trouble has been properly corrected.
•Keep all parts of your body away from rotang cung aachment and hot surfaces.
•Never touch the muer, spark plug, or other metallic parts of the engine while the engine is in operaon or immediately aer shung down the engine.
Doing so could result in serious burns or electrical shock.
While the motor is sll hot, keep the machine away from anything ammable, such as dry grass, debris, leaves or excessive lubricant.
•Before laying down the machine, make sure the motor is turned o!
•Never work alone!
Make sure you are within shoung distance or have visual or other kind of contact with another person who will be able to provide rst aid in an emergency
situaon.
•Always be aware of your surroundings and stay alert for possible hazards that you may not hear due to the noise of the machine
•Never operate the pruner at an angle greater than 60° in order to reduce the risk of being struck by falling objects during operaon.
•Avoid operang while people, especially children are nearby.
Maintenance
•In order to maintain your product in proper working order, perform the maintenance and checking operaons described in the manual at regular intervals.
•Always be sure to turn o the engine before performing any maintenance or checking procedures.
The metallic parts reach high temperatures immediately aer stopping the engine
•Use only original replacement parts. Only these spare parts are guaranteed to be designed and suitable for use with this machine. Using other spare parts will
void your warranty and may cause danger to yourself and your surroundings.
•In the event that any part must be replaced or any maintenance or repair work not described in this manual must be performed, please contact our servicing
dealer for assistance.

•Under no circumstances should you ever take apart the product or alter it in any way. Doing so might result in the product becoming damaged during opera-
on or the product becoming unable to operate properly.
Handling fuel
•The engine is designed to run on a mixed fuel, which contains highly ammable gasoline. Never store cans of fuel or rell the tank of the unit in any place
where there is a boiler, stove, wood re, electrical sparks, welding sparks, or any other source of heat or re which might ignite the fuel.
•Never smoke while operang the unit or relling its fuel tank.
•When relling the tank, always turn o the engine and allow it to cool down. Take a careful look around to make sure that there are no sparks or open ames
anywhere nearby before refuelling.
•Wipe spilled fuel completely using a dry rag if any fuel spillage occurs during refuelling.
•Aer refuelling, screw the fuel cap back ghtly onto the fuel tank and then carry the unit to a spot 3 m or more away from where it was refuelled before
turning on the engine.
Transport and Storage
•When you nish cung in one locaon and wish to connue work in another spot, turn o the engine, li up the unit and carry it paying aenon to the
blade.
•When transporng or storing the machine always t the cung device guard or guide bar cover.
•When hand-carrying the product, cover over the cung part if necessary, li up the product and carry it paying aenon to the blade.
•Never transport the product over rough roads over long distances by vehicle without removing all fuel from the fuel tank. If doing so, fuel might leak from
the tank during transport.
•Protect the machine from damage when transporng it.
Kickback safety precauons for chain saw users
1. Kickback may occur when the nose or p of the guide bar touches an object, or when the wood closes in and pinches the saw chain in the cut. Tip contact
in some cases may cause a lightning fast reverse reacon, kicking the guide bar up and back towards the operator. Pinching the saw chain along the top of the
guide bar may push the guide bar rapidly back towards the operator. Either of these reacons may cause you to lose control of the saw, which could result in
serious personal injury.
2. Do not rely exclusively on the safety devices built into your saw. As a chain saw user you should take several steps to keep cung jobs free from accident or
injury.
•With a basic understanding of kickback you can reduce or eliminate the element of surprise. Sudden surprise contributes to accidents.
•Keep a good grip on the saw with both hands, the right hand on the rear handle, and the le hand on the front handle, when the engine is running. Use a rm
grip with thumbs and ngers encircling the chain saw handles. A rm grip will help you reduce kickback and maintain control of the saw.
•Make certain that the area in which you are cung is free from obstrucons. Do not let the nose of the guide bar contact a log, branch, or any other obstruc-
on which could be hit while you are operang the saw.
•Cut at high engine speeds.
•Follow the manufacturer’s sharpening and maintenance instrucons for the saw chain.
•Only use replacement bars and chains specied by the manufacturer or the equivalent.
•Make sure the chain and guide bar are correctly adjusted before operang the equipment (see page 8 for adjustment procedures). Never aempt chain
adjustment with the engine running!
•Always make sure the cung aachment is properly installed and rmly ghtened before operaon.
•Never use a cracked or warped guide bar: replace it with a serviceable one and make sure it ts properly.
•If a saw blade should bind fast in a cut, shut o the engine immediately. Push the branch or tree to ease the bind and free the blade.
•Do not operate the pole pruner with the muer removed.
•When cung a limb that is under tension, be alert for spring back so that you will not be struck by the moving limb.
•Always stop the engine immediately and check for damage if you strike a foreign object or if the machine become entangled. Do not operate with damaged
or broken equipment.
Do not make unauthorized modicaons or substuons to the guide bar or chain.
Never allow the engine to run at high R.P.M. without a load. Doing so could damage the engine. Keep the pruner as clean as possible. Keep it free of loose
vegetaon, mud, etc.

Assembly instrucons and main adjustments
Mounng the engine (A)
1. Push the sha tube toward the clutch housing and rotate it by hand to check that the drive sha is en gaged with the gears.
2. Insert the sha tube into the clutch housing unl it booms, and align the posioning holes on the clutch housing and the sha tube and install the screw.
When dicult to engage, twist the engine slightly.
3. Fasten the clamp securely with two screws.
Important: Tighten the screws gradually by turning them.
Connecng the throle wire (B)
1. Remove the air cleaner cover.
2. Connect the end of the throle wire to the joint on the top of the carbureor.

(5) Insert the cable to the end of the adjuster
1. Connect the throle wire with carbureor. Insert the cable to the end of adjuster x the throle cable by ghten ing the M3 screw. (Tightening torque: 0.4
- 0.8 N.m.)
2. Make sure the TOPPER-PLATE of carbureor moves to contact with the idling adjusng screw and the wing-arm of carbureor moves to contact with Full on
stopper by gripping throle lever.
Connecng the switch wires
Connect the switch wires between the engine and the main unit. Pair the wires of the same colour.
Suspension Point (C)
Note: The suspension point must match the locaon of the arrow mark.

Installing the handle (D), (E), (F)
Note: The handle is put during the arrow mark.
(1) Minimum spacing
(2) 48cm
Mount the handle to the sha tube and suspension point it at a locaon that is comfortable to you.
Insert the grip to the sha tube. Fasten the clamps with screws.
Install the J-shaped handle to the sha tube and clamp at a posion best for your job.
Joint aachment (G)

Insert the aachment to the main sha. Tighten the knob bolt securely.
Installing the cung aachment guard (H)

Put the cung aachment guard on the gearbox, a ach it with the 4 screws and hardware provided.
Installing the cung head (I)
1. While locking the gear sha, by inserng the supplied tool into the upper holder on the gear box, loosen and remove the hexagon nut (le-handed).
2. Then screw in the cung head to the gear sha over the holders Hand-ghten it securely.
Harness
Warning: Always wear the provided harness when using the machine!
Always make sure the machine is hooked securely to the harness.
If you don’t, you will be unable to control the machine safely. This can result in injury to yourself or others. Never use a harness with a defecve quick release
or any other damage.
1. Wear the provided harness without twisted bands, with the hanger on your right side.
Balance the unit
1. Hook your machine to the hanger.
2. Adjust the bands of the harness to have the blade parallel to the ground when standing in your normal working posion to provide you most eecveness
and comfort on operang the machine.
3. In order to prevent the hanger posion to change during operaon, turn up the extra part of the band from the buckle.
4 . When correctly adjusted, check the correct working of the harnesses “quick release”.
Quick Release
The harness is equipped with a “quick release”devise.
To release the machine from the harness in emergency situaons, please follow the procedure as explained below.
Warning: Make sure to check proper working of the quick release device before operang the machine. Make sure to hold the unit securely when using the
quick release.
While holding the unit by your right hand securely, press both sides of the buckle, sides of the buckle.

Aaching the trimming mechanism (J)

1. Remove the screw screwed into the end of the trim ming mechanism.
2. Insert the end of the trimming mechanism into the main pipe.
3. Line up the hole on the end of the trimming mecha nism into which the screw is to be inserted with the hole on the main pipe, and screw the screw rmly in.
4. Using a wrench, screw in the bolt provided to x the trimming mechanism into place.
Balance unit
1. Put on strap and aach unit to strap.
2. Depending on the working posture, slide clamp up or down unl unit balances and the strap ts your body.

1. Remove the cap on the end of the main pipe.
2. Remove the screw screwed into the end of the trans mission.
3. Insert the end of the gear case into the main pipe.
4. Line up the hole on the end of the transmission into which the screw is to be inserted with the hole on the main pipe, and screw the screw rmly in.
5. Using a wrench, screw in the bolt provided to x the mechanism into place (L).

Install the guide bar and the saw chain on the transmis sion as follows:
Warning: The saw chain has very sharp edges. Use protec ve gloves for safety.
1. Loosen a nut and remove the chain cover.
2. Mount the guide bar then f it the saw chain around the bar and sprocket.
Warning: Pay aenon to the correct direcon of the saw chain.
3. Fit the chain tensioner nut into the lower hole of the guide bar, then install the chain cover, and fasten the mounng nut to nger ghtness (M).

4. Adjust the chain tension by turning the tensioner screw unl the e straps just touch the boom side of the bar rail (N).

5. Tighten the mounng nut securely with the bar p held up (torque: 8.9- 11.7 Nm./90 - 120 kg-cm). Then check the chain for smooth rotaon and correct
ten sion while moving it by hand. If necessary, readjust (O).

Warning: It is very important to maintain the proper chain tension. Rapid wear of the guide bar or the chain coming o easily can be caused by improper ten-
sion. Especially when using a new chain, take good care of it since it should expand when rst used.
Balance unit
1. Put on strap and aach unit to strap.
2. Depending on the working posture, slide clamp up or down unl unit balances and the strap ts your body.
Fuel and chain oil
Warning: Gasoline is very ammable. Avoid smoking or bringing any ame or sparks near fuel.
Wipe up all spills before starng the engine.
Make sure to stop the engine and allow it cool before starng the engine.
Keep open ames away from the area where fuel is handled or stored.
Important: Never use oil for 4 cycle engine use or water cooled 2-cycle engine.
Never use “FUEL WITH NO OIL (RAW GASOLINE)”.
Never use fuel laced with water.
Mixed fuel which have been le unused for period of one month or more may clog the carbureor or result in the engine failing to operate properly. Put re-
mained fuel into an air-ght container and keep it in the dark and cool room.
Please ask for “mixed gasoline for air-cooled 2-cycle engines” at your nearest gas staon, or use fuel made by pung unleaded 95 octane gasoline and air-
cooled 2-cycle special engine oil into a mixing container in accordance with the following raos and then shaking to mix well.
Mixing ratios:
Use a special type 2-cycle oil (30ml of oil for each 1L of unleaded gasoline 95).

Chain oil lube
Use an appropriate chainsaw chain lube.
Note: Do not use wasted or regenerated oil that can cause damage to the oil pump.
Fuelling the unit
1. Untwist and remove the fuel cap. Rest the cap on a dustless place. .
2. Put fuel into the fuel tank to 80% of the full capacity.
3. Fasten the fuel cap securely and wipe up any fuel spillage around the unit.
Operaon (P)
(1) Stop switch
5. Set the stop switch to the ‘‘ - ‘‘posion. Set the throle trigger to the start posion (1 - 2 - 3).
Place the unit on a at, rm place.
Keep the cung head clear of everything around it.
6. Press the primer bulb several mes unl the overow fuel comes into the transparent tube.
Warning: The product is equipped with a centrifugal clutch mechanism, so the cung aachment begins to ro tate as soon as the engine is started by pung
the throle into the start posion. When starng the en gine, place the product onto the ground in a at clear area and hold it rmly in place so as to ensure
that neither the cung part nor the throle come into contact with any obstacle when the engine starts.
Important: Avoid pulling the rope to its end or returning it by re leasing the knob. Such acons can cause starter fail ures.
7. Move the choke lever downward to open the choke and restart the engine (Q).

8. Allow the engine to warm up for a several minutes before starng operaon.
Note: 1. When restarng the engine immediately aer stop ping it, leave the choke open.
2. Over-choking can make the engine hard to start due to excess fuel When the engine failed to start aer several aempts, open the choke and repeat pulling
the rope, or remove the spark plug and dry it.
Stopping the engine
1. Release the throle lever and run the engine for half a minute.
2. Shi the stop switch to the STOP posion.
Important: Except for an emergency, avoid stopping the engine while pulling the throle lever.
When it doesn’t stop at the stop switch, move the choke level to the closed posion.
Adjusng the throle cable (R)
The normal play is 1 or 2mm when measured at the carbureor side end. Readjust the cable adjuster as required

Adjusng the idling speed (S)
(1) Idle adjusng screw
1. When the engine tends to stop frequently at idling mode, turn the adjusng screw clockwise.
2. When the cung head keeps rotang aer releasing the trigger, turn the adjusng screw counter-clockwise.
Note: Warm up the engine before adjusng the idling speed.
Warning: The cung head will start rotang upon the engine starts.
Feed fuel into the fuel tank and ghten the cap securely (T), (U).

2. Rest the unit on a at, rm place. Keep the cung head o the ground and clear of surrounding objects, as it will start rotang upon starng of the engine.
3. Push the primer several mes unl overown fuel comes out in the transparent tube.
4. Move the choke lever to the closed posion | \ |.
Cung (line head)
Warning: 1. Always wear eye protecon such as safety goggles. Never lean over the rotang cung head. Rocks or other debris could be thrown into eyes and
face and cause serious personal injury.
2. Keep the cung aachment guard in place at all mes when the unit is operated.
Trimming Grass and Weeds
Always remember that the TIP of the line does the cung. You will achieve beer results by not crowding the line into the cung area. Allow the unit to trim
at its own pace.
1. Hold the unit so the head is o the ground and is lted about 20 degrees toward the sweep direcon.
2. You can avoid thrown debris by sweeping from your le to the right.
3. Use a slow, deliberate acon to cut heavy growth.
The rate of cung moon will depend on the material being cut. Heavy growth will require slower acon than will light growth.
4. Never swing the unit so hard as you are in danger of losing your balance or control of the unit.
5. Try to control the cung moon with the hip rather than placing the lull workload on the arm and hands.
6. Take precauons to avoid wire, grass and dead, dry, long-stem weeds from wrapping around the head sha. Such materials can stall the head and cause the
clutch to slip, resulng in damage to the clutch system if repeated frequently.
Adjusng the line length
Our brush cuers are equipped with a semi- auto type nylon line head that allows the operator to ad vance the line without stopping the engine. When the line
becomes short, lightly tap the head on the ground while running the engine at lull throle.
Each me the head is ped, the line advances about 25.4mm For beer eect, tap the head on solid ground or hard soil. Avoid ping in thick, tall grass as the
engine may stall by overload.

Choosing the right cung blade (oponal)
Choose a suitable recommended cung aachment according to the object to be cut.
Heavy weeds: 9’’ 8-tooth
Light vegetaon: 9’’ 4-tooth or Nylon line head
Grass: Nylon line head
Warning: When sharpening, removing, or reaaching the blade, be sure to wear thick, sturdy gloves and use only proper tools and equipment to prevent Injury.
Setup (W)

1. Detach the line head assembly completely.
2. Put on the blade, making the marked side face the holder, put on the outer holders, and fasten the blade with the blade nut.
Important: Change the cung aachment guard, which is suitable for the metal blade.
Tightening torque: 1.5 - 2.0 Nm
Aach the main handle for safe operaon.
Cung method
a) Use the front le side cung.
b) Guide the blade from your right to le with it lted slightly to your le.
c) When mowing a wide area, start working from your le end to avoid interference of cut grass .
d) The blade may be seized by weeds if the engine speed is too low, or the blade cuts too deep into weeds. Adjust the engine speed and cung depth according
to the condion of object.
Warning: If the grass or other object gets caught in the blade, or if the unit starts to shake or vibrate, turn o the engine and check the whole unit. Change the
blade if it has been damaged.
Turn o the engine and make sure the blade has completely stopped before checking the blade, and removing any object got caught ln.
Operaon
1. Check the bolt to fasten the blade and be sure the bolt has no fault, and no abrasion.
2. Be sure that the blade and the holder have been fas tened according to instrucon and that the blade turns smoothly without abnormal noise.
Warning: The rotang parts fastened incorrectly may cause serious accident to the operator.
Make sure that the blade is not bent, warped, cracked, broken or damaged.
If you nd any error to the blade, discard it and replace with a new one, which is cered by your supplier.
Warning: By using the shoulder strap, hang the unit on your right side. Adjust the strap length so that the cung head may become parallel to the ground. Make
sure to use shoulder strap and cung aach ment guard. If not, it is very dangerous when you slip or lose your balance.
Controlling the blade bounce
Blade thrust can cause serious personal injury. Carefully study this secon. It is important that you understand what causes blade thrust, how you can reduce
the chance of blade thrust and how you can remain in control of the unit if blade thrust does occur.
1. What causes blade thrust:
Blade thrust can occur when the moving blade contacts an object that it cannot cut. This contact causes the blade to stop for an instant and then suddenly
move or ounce away from the object that was hit. The operator can lose control of the unit and the blade can cause serious personal injury to the operator or
any person nearby if the blade contacts any part of the body.
2. How you can reduce the chance of blade thrust:
a. Recognize that blade thrust can happen. By un derstanding and knowing about bounce, you can help eliminate the element of surprise.
b. Cut brous weeds and grass only. Do not let the blade contact materials it cannot cut such as hard, woody vines and bushes or rocks, fences, metal, etc.
c. Be extra prepared for bounce if you must cut where you cannot see the blade making contact such as in areas of dense growth.
d. Keep the blade sharp. A dull blade increases the chance of bounce.
e. Avoid feeding the blade too rapidly. The blade can bounce away from material being cut if the blade is fed faster than its cung capability.
f . Cut only from your right to your le.
g. Keep your path of advance clear of material that has been cut and other debris.
3. How you can maintain the best control:
a. Keep a good, rm grip on the unit with both hands.

Transporng the unit
When you nish cung in one locaon and wish to connue work in another spot, turn o the engine, li up the unit and carry it paying aenon to the blade.
Never forget to place the protecve cover over the blades.
When transporng the unit over long distances, detach the blade and fasten the unit by ropes.
Hedge-trimmer and pole pruning head
Warning: This product is equipped with extremely sharp blades, and when used improperly these blades can be ex tremely dangerous and improper handling
can cause accidents, which may in turn lead to serious injury or death. For this reason, you should always be care ful to follow the following Instrucons when
using your trimmer.
Never hold the trimmer in a way in which the blades are pointed towards someone else.
Never allow the blades to come into proximity with your body while the engine of the trimmer is in opera on.
Always be sure to turn o the engine before chang ing the angle of the blades, removing branches which have become stuck in the blades, or at any other me
when coming into close proximity with the blades. Always wear work gloves made of leather or some other sturdy material when using the trimmer.
Always place the blade cover provided with the trim mer over the blades when not in use.

Falling branches may fall onto the face or into the eyes, resulng In Injuries, scratches, and cuts, and for this reason you should always be sure to wear a helmet
and face protector when using your trimmer.
Important: The thickness of branches, which may be cut using this trimmer, is limited to up to approximately 5 mm. Never try to cut branches thicker than this,
as doing so may result in damage to the trimmer.
Adjusng the angle of the cung blades (X)

2. Turn the bolt located on the top of the trimming mechanism counter clockwise to loosen it.
Checking oil supply (Y)

Aer starng the engine, run the chain at medium speed and see if chain oil has scaered o, as shown in the gure.
Note: The oil reservoir has a capacity sucient to provide about 40 minutes of cung me (when set to deliver the mini mum ow rate, or about as long as you
get from a tank of fuel). Be sure to rell the oil tank every me when refu elling the saw.
Adjusng oil ow rate
Warning: Never ll the oil reservoir nor adjust the oiler with the engine running.
Important: An increase in the bar oil ow rate will speed oil consumpon, requiring more frequent checks on the oil reservoir.
To ensure sucient lubricaon, it may be necessary to check the oil level more frequently than at fuel tank rells.
The guide bar and chain are lubricated automacally by a pump that operates whenever the chain rotates. The pump is set at the factory to deliver a minimum
ow rate, but it can be adjusted in the eld. A temporary increase in oil f low is oen desirable when cung things like hard wood or wood with a lot of pitch.
Adjust the pump as follows (Z):
1. Stop the engine and make sure the stop switch is in the OFF posion.
2. Place the unit on its side with the oil reservoir up.
(1) Oil tank, (2) Chain cover
The oil ow adjusng screw must be pressed in slightly in order to turn. Failure to do so could damage the pump and screw.
3. With a screwdriver, push in on the oil ow rate adjust ing screw and turn in the desired direcon (there are three incremental sengs):
(a) Clockwise-decrease lubricaon
(b) Counter clockwise-increase lubricaon
(c) Middle

Air lter (Z1)
The air lter, if clogged, will reduce the engine perfor mance. Check and clean the lter element in warm, soapy water as required. Dry completely before
installing. If the element is broken or shrunk, replace with a new one.
(1) Air lter
Fuel lter (Z2)
When the engine runs short of fuel supply, check the fuel cap and the fuel lter for blockage.

Spark plug
Starng failure and misring are oen caused by a faulty spark plug. Clean the spark plug and check that the plug gap is in the correct range. For a re placement
plug, use the correct type specied by your supplier.
Important: Note that using any spark plug other than those des ignated may result in the engine failing to operate prop erly or In the engine becoming over-
heated and dam aged.
To install the spark plug, rst turn the plug unl it is nger ght, then ghten it a quarter turn more with a socket wrench.
Tightening torque: 9.8-11.8 Nm.
Muer
Warning: Inspect periodically, the muer for loose fasteners, any damage or corrosion. If any sign of exhaust leakage is found, stop using the machine and have
it repaired immediately.
Note that failing to do so may cause the engine to catch re.
Intake air cooling vent (Z4)
Never touch the cylinder, muer, or spark plugs with your bare hands immediately aer stopping the engine. The engine can become very hot when in oper-
aon, and doing so could result in severe burns.
When checking the machine to make sure that it is okay before using it, check the area around the muer and remove any wood chips or leaves which have
aached themselves to the brush-cuer. Failling to do so could cause the mu er to become overheated and that in turn could cause the engine to catch on
re. Always make sure that the muer Is clean and free of wood chips, leaves, and other waste before use.
Check the Intake air cooling vent and the area around the cylinder cooling ns aer every 25 hours of use for blockage, and remove any waste which has at-
tached Itself to the brushcuer. Note that It Is necessary to remove the engine cover In order to be able to view the upper part of the cylinder.
Important: If waste gets stuck and causes blockage around the intake air cooling vent or between the cylinder ns, it may cause the engine to overheat, and
that in turn may cause mechanical failure on the part of the brushcuer.

Procedures to be performed aer every 100 hours of use
1. Remove the muer, insert a screwdriver into the vent, and wipe away any carbon build-up. Wipe away any carbon build-up on the muer exhaust vent and
cylin der exhaust port at the same me.
2. Tighten all screws , bolts, and ngs.
3. Check to see if any oil or grease has worked its way in between the clutch lining and drum, and if it has, wipe it away using oil-free, lead-free gasoline.
Relling trimming line (Z6)
1. For replacement line, use a diameter of 2.4mm ( .095in).
The spool is capable for a line up to 6m (20) on the 10cm head. Avoid using a larger line as it may cut down the trimming performance.
Warning: For safety reasons, do not use metal reinforced line.
2. Pinch the sloed area on the both sides of the spool housing to unhook the boom cap.
3. Remove the spool and remove the old thread. Divide the thread and pass it to the point where the slit in the spool is.
4. Wind up the line in the correct direcon as indicated on the spool.
5. Hook each end of the line in the slot on the edge of the spool, and then put the ends through the eyelets on the housing. Make sure that the spring and the
washers are in place.
6. While holding the spool against the housing, pull the line ends to release them from the slot.
7. Line up the slot on the boom cap with the hook on the housing , press the cap against the housing unl it clicks.
Angle transmission (Z14)
The reducon gears are lubricated by angled transmission grease in the angle transmission. Apply new grease every 25 hours of use or more oen depending
on the job condion.
Remove the cuer holders before installing new grease to arrange for old grease to exit.
Blades (Z15)
When relling the tank or resng, it is oen a good idea to use the me to oil the cung blades.
If a gap exists between the upper and lower blades, follow the procedure below to adjust them so that they t more closely together.
(1) Upper Blade, (2) Lower blade
1. Loosen lock nut (A) as shown in the diagram.
2. Tighten screw (B) fully, and then turn one-third to one half of a rotaon backward.
3. While holding onto the screw to keep it in posion, ghten the lock nut.
4. Check to make sure that the at washer (C) is loose enough so that it may be turned by pressing on it with a nger.
Note: Screwing in the screw too ghtly may make it impossible for the blades to move. Conversely, not screwing in the screw ghtly enough may make the
blades of the trim mer feel dull and cause leaves and branches to become caught in the blades of the trimmer.

If the blades become so worn down that it is no longer possible to eliminate the gap between them, you should contact the au thorized servicing dealer from
which you purchased your trimmer to have the blades resharpened or replaced.
Transmission (Z16)

Supply new grease every 25 hours of use or more oen depending on the job condion.
When adding lubricant, use a grease gun to insert lubri cant into the three grease nipples located on the trans mission.

The bar rail should always be a square. Check for wear of the bar rail. Apply a ruler to the bar and the outside of a cuer. If a gap is observed between them,
the rail is normal. Otherwise, the bar rail is worn. Such a bar needs to be corrected or replaced.

Check for extensive wear, and replace it when the teeth are worn over 0.3 mm.

Χώρος εργασίας

•Το εργαλείο παράγει δονήσεις κατά τη λειτουργία. Αυτό μπορεί να προκαλέσει χαλάρωση των βιδών και των εξαρτημάτων του. Επομένως, ελέγξτε όλες τις

Μην τεντώνετε τα χέρια σας πολύ μακριά μπροστά σας.
Μην εργάζεστε ξεπερνώντας το επίπεδο των ώμων.
•Μετά την εκκίνηση του κινητήρα, βεβαιωθείτε ότι το εξάρτημα κοπής σταματάει να περιστρέφεται όταν το γκάζι επαναφέρεται πλήρως στην αρχική του
θέση. Αν συνεχίσει να περιστρέφεται ακόμα και μετά την πλήρη επαναφορά του γκαζιού, σβήστε τον κινητήρα και μεταφέρετε το εργαλείο στον αντιπρό-
σωπο για επισκευή.
•Αν η συσκευή αρχίσει να είναι ασταθής ή να δονείται ασυνήθιστα, απενεργοποιήστε τον κινητήρα και ελέγξτε ολόκληρο το εργαλείο. Μην το χρησιμοποι-
είτε μέχρι να επιδιορθωθεί η βλάβη.
•Κρατήστε όλα τα μέρη του σώματός σας μακριά από το περιστρεφόμενο εξάρτημα κοπής και τις θερμές επιφάνειες.
•Μην αγγίζετε ποτέ την εξάτμιση, το μπουζί ή άλλα μεταλλικά μέρη του κινητήρα κατά τη λειτουργία του κινητήρα ή αμέσως μετά την απενεργοποίηση του
κινητήρα. Η παραπάνω ενέργεια μπορεί να προκαλέσει σοβαρά εγκαύματα ή ηλεκτροπληξία.

Συντήρηση

Μεταχείριση καυσίμου

•Μην καπνίζετε ποτέ κατά τη λειτουργία του εργαλείου ή την πλήρωση της δεξαμενής καυσίμου.
•Όταν γεμίζετε τη δεξαμενή, σβήστε τον κινητήρα και αφήστε τον να κρυώσει. Κοιτάξτε προσεκτικά για να βεβαιωθείτε ότι δεν υπάρχουν σπινθήρες ή

•Σκουπίστε πλήρως το καύσιμο χρησιμοποιώντας ένα στεγνό πανί εάν τυχόν υπάρξει διαρροή καυσίμου κατά την διάρκεια του ανεφοδιασμού.
•Μετά τον ανεφοδιασμό, βιδώστε ξανά το καπάκι του καυσίμου στη δεξαμενή καυσίμου και στη συνέχεια μεταφέρετε το εργαλείο σε ένα σημείο με από-
σταση 3 m και άνω μακριά από το σημείο πλήρωσης του καυσίμου πριν ενεργοποιήσετε τον κινητήρα.
Μεταφορά και αποθήκευση
•Όταν ολοκληρώσετε την κοπή σε μια θέση και θέλετε να συνεχίσετε να εργάζεστε σε άλλο σημείο, απενεργοποιήστε τον κινητήρα, σηκώστε το εργαλείο
και μεταφέρετε προσέχοντας την λεπίδα.
•Κατά την μεταφορά ή αποθήκευση του εργαλείου, θα πρέπει να τοποθετείτε πάντοτε το προστατευτικό κάλυμμα του εξαρτήματος κοπής ή τον προφυλα-
κτήρα της λάμας.
•Όταν μεταφέρετε το εργαλείο με τα χέρια, αν χρειάζεται, καλύψτε το εξάρτημα κοπής, σηκώστε το εργαλείο και δώστε μεγάλη προσοχή στη λεπίδα.
•Ποτέ μην μεταφέρετε το προϊόν σε ανώμαλο δρόμο σε μεγάλες αποστάσεις με το όχημα χωρίς να αφαιρέσετε όλο το καύσιμο από τη δεξαμενή καυσίμου.
Σε αντίθετη περίπτωση, ενδέχεται να διαρρεύσει καύσιμο από τη δεξαμενή κατά τη μεταφορά.
•Προστατεύστε το εργαλείο από ζημιές που μπορεί να προκληθούν κατά τη μεταφορά του.
Προληπτικά μέτρα ασφαλείας κατά της ανάκρουσης (κλότσημα) για το συγκεκριμένο τύπο εργαλείου
1. Μπορεί να προκληθεί ανάκρουση όταν η αιχμή ή η το άκρο της λάμας αγγίξει ένα αντικείμενο ή όταν το ξύλο κλείσει και σφίξει την αλυσίδα του πριονιού
κατά την κοπή. Η επαφή με άλλα αντικείμενα κατά την κοπή και σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις μπορεί να προκαλέσει μια απότομη αντίστροφη αντίδραση,
οδηγώντας την ράβδο να κινηθεί απότομα προς τα πίσω προς το μέρος του χειριστή. Η αλυσίδα του πριονιού μπορεί να πιαστεί και να ωθήσει απότομα τη
λάμα προς το χειριστή. Κάθε μία από αυτές τις αντιδράσεις μπορεί να σας κάνει να χάσετε τον έλεγχο του πριονιού,κάτι που μπορεί να προκαλέσει σοβαρό
τραυματισμό.
2. Μην βασίζεστε αποκλειστικά στις συσκευές ασφαλείας που είναι ενσωματωμένες στο πριόνι σας. Ως χειριστής αλυσοπρίονου, θα πρέπει να λάβετε
αρκετά μέτρα για να εκτελέσετε τις εργασίες κοπής χωρίς ατύχημα ή τραυματισμό.
•Με μια βασική κατανόηση της αντίδρασης ανάκρουσης, μπορείτε να μειώσετε ή να εξαλείψετε το στοιχείο του αιφνιδιασμού. Ο αιφνιδιασμός συμβάλλει
στην εκδήλωση ατυχημάτων.
•Κρατήστε καλά το πριόνι με τα δύο χέρια, το δεξί χέρι στην πίσω λαβή και το αριστερό χέρι στην μπροστινή λαβή, όταν λειτουργεί ο κινητήρας. Αποκτήστε
μια σταθερή λαβή χρησιμοποιώντας τον αντίχειρα και τα δάκτυλα που περιβάλλουν τις λαβές του αλυσοπρίονου. Μια σταθερή λαβή θα σας βοηθήσει να
μειώσετε την αντίδραση ανάκρουσης και να διατηρήσετε καλύτερο έλεγχο του πριονιού.
•Βεβαιωθείτε ότι η περιοχή στην οποία κόβετε είναι απαλλαγμένη από εμπόδια. Μην αφήνετε τη μύτη της λάμας να έρθει σε επαφή με κορμούς, κλαδιά ή
οποιοδήποτε άλλο εμπόδιο που μπορεί να χτυπηθεί κατά τη λειτουργία του πριονιού.
•Διατηρήστε υψηλές τις στροφές του κινητήρα κατά την κοπή.•Ακολουθήστε τις οδηγίες ακονίσματος και συντήρησης του κατασκευαστή για την αλυσίδα
του πριονιού.
•Χρησιμοποιείτε μόνο λάμες και αλυσίδες που προτείνονται από τον κατασκευαστή για την αντικατάστασή των φθαρμένων εξαρτημάτων.
•Βεβαιωθείτε ότι η αλυσίδα και η λάμα έχουν ρυθμιστεί σωστά πριν τη λειτουργία του εξοπλισμού (ακολουθήστε τις οδηγίες στο κεφάλαιο όπου αναφέρο-
νται οι διαδικασίες ρύθμισης). Ποτέ μην επιχειρήσετε ρύθμιση της αλυσίδας με τον κινητήρα σε λειτουργία!
•Βεβαιώνεστε πάντα ότι το εξάρτημα κοπής έχει τοποθετηθεί σωστά και ότι είναι καλά σφιγμένο πριν τη λειτουργία.
•Ποτέ μην χρησιμοποιείτε μια λάμα η οποία φέρει ρωγμές ή στρεβλώσεις: αντικαταστήστε την με το αντίστοιχο ανταλλακτικό και βεβαιωθείτε ότι ταιριάζει
σωστά.
•Αν μια λάμα εμπλακεί απότομα σε μια τομή, σβήστε αμέσως τον κινητήρα. Πιέστε το κλαδί ή το ξύλο έτσι ώστε να ανοίξει και να απελευθερωθεί η λάμα.
•Μη λειτουργείτε το εργαλείο χωρίς τον σιγαστήρα.
•Όταν κόβετε ένα κλαδί που έχει κάποια τάση, να είστε προσεκτικοί, έτσι ώστε να μην χτυπηθείτε από αυτό σε περίπτωση που απελευθερωθεί αναπάντε-
χα.
•Θα πρέπει πάντοτε να σταματάτε αμέσως τον κινητήρα και να ελέγχετε για τυχόν ζημιές σε περίπτωση που χτυπήσετε ένα ξένο αντικείμενο ή εάν το εργα-
λείο μπλοκαριστεί. Μην λειτουργείτε το εργαλείο ενώ έχει κατεστραμμένα ή σπασμένα τμήματα ή εξαρτήματα.
Μην κάνετε μη εξουσιοδοτημένες τροποποιήσεις ή αντικαταστάσεις στη ράβδο ή την αλυσίδα.
Μην επιτρέπετε ποτέ στον κινητήρα να λειτουργεί σε υψηλές στροφές χωρίς φορτίο. Κάτι τέτοιο μπορεί να προκαλέσει βλάβη στον κινητήρα. Κρατήστε το
εργαλείο όσο το δυνατόν καθαρό. Κρατήστε το απαλλαγμένο από υπολείμματα φυτών, λάσπη κλπ.

Οδηγίες συναρμολόγησης και βασικές ρυθμίσεις
Σύνδεση του κινητήρα (A)
1. Πιέστε τον άξονα προς το κέλυφος του συμπλέκτη (κώνο) και περιστρέψτε τον με το χέρι για να βεβαιωθείτε ότι ο άξονας μετάδοσης της κίνησης έχει
εμπλακεί με τα γρανάζια.
2. Πιέστε το μπαστούνι στο κέλυφος του συμπλέκτη (κώνο) πλήρως και ευθυγραμμίστε τις οπές τοποθέτησης στο κέλυφος του συμπλέκτη (κώνο) και του
άξονα και τοποθετήστε τις βίδες. Σε περίπτωση που αντιμετωπίζετε κάποια δυσκολία στην σύνδεση τους περιστρέψτε ελαφρά τον κινητήρα.
3. Στερεώστε καλά τον σύνδεσμο χρησιμοποιώντας τις δύο βίδες.
Σημαντικό: Σφίξτε σταδιακά τις βίδες περιστρέφοντάς τις δεξιόστροφα.
Σύνδεση της ντίζας τροφοδοσίας (ντίζα γκαζιού)(B)
1. Αφαιρέστε το καπάκι του φίλτρου αέρα.
2. Συνδέστε το άκρο της ντίζας στον ρυθμιστή ντίζας στο πάνω μέρος του καρμπιρατέρ.

(5) Τοποθετήστε την ντίζα στο άκρο του ρυθμιστή.
1. Συνδέστε την ντίζα με το καρμπιρατέρ. Τοποθετήστε την ντίζα στο άκρο του ρυθμιστή και συνδέστε την ντίζα σφίγγοντας τη βίδα M3. (Ροπή σύσφιξης:
0,4 - 0,8 Nm).
2. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι η πεταλούδα του καρμπιρατέρ μπορεί να κινείται ελεύθερα για να έρθει σε επαφή με τη βίδα ρύθμισης του ρελαντί και ότι πιέζοντας
σκανδάλη τροφοδοσίας (γκαζιού) κάνει όλη την κίνηση μέχρι το στοπ που έχετε ρυθμίσει.
Σύνδεση των καλωδίων χειρισμού
Συνδέστε τα καλώδια του διακόπτη μεταξύ του κινητήρα και της κύριας μονάδας. Συνδέστε τα καλώδια του ίδιου χρώματος μεταξύ τους.
Σημείο σύνδεσης της εξάρτυσης (C)
Σημείωση: Το σημείο σύνδεσης της εξάρτυσης πρέπει να τοποθετηθεί σύμφωνα με τη θέση του βέλους.

Τοποθετήστε τη χειρολαβή στο κοντάρι και ρυθμίστε το σημείο σύνδεσης της εξάρτυσης σε μια άνετη θέση.
Τοποθετήστε την λαβή στο κοντάρι. Συνδέστε τους σφιγκτήρες χρησιμοποιώντας τις βίδες.
Τοποθετήστε τη χειρολαβή σχήματος J στο κοντάρι και σφίξτε το στη θέση που είναι πιο άνετη για την εκτέλεση της εκάστοτε εργασίας.
Ταχυσύνδεσμος μπαστουνιού (G)
(1) Σφιγκτήρας χειρός
Συνδέστε την προέκταση με το κοντάρι. Σφίξτε καλά τον σφιγκτήρα. (Για τα μοντέλα με πείρο ασφάλισης: τραβήξτε τον πείρο για να τοποθετήσετε το κοντά-
ρι).

Σύνδεση του προφυλακτήρα του συστήματος κοπής (H)

Τοποθετήστε τον προφυλακτήρα στο κιβώτιο γωνιακής μετάδοσης, συνδέστε τον χρησιμοποιώντας τις 4 βίδες και τα υπόλοιπα εξαρτήματα σύνδεσης.
Σύνδεση της κεφαλής κοπής (I)
1. Ενώ κρατάτε ασφαλισμένο (σταθεροποιημένο ) τον άξονα του κιβωτίου, ευθυγραμμίζοντας η οπή της ροδέλας με το σταθερό σημείο της γωνιακής με-
τάδοσης, εισάγοντας το παρεχόμενο εργαλείο στο πάνω τμήμα του άξονα του κιβωτίου, χαλαρώστε και αφαιρέστε το εξάγωνο παξιμάδι (αριστερόστροφο
σπείρωμα).
2. Στη συνέχεια, βιδώστε την κεφαλή κοπής στον άξονα. Σφίξτε το καλά και βεβαιωθείτε πως είναι τοποθετημένο σωστά.
Εξάρτυση
Προειδοποίηση: Να φοράτε πάντα την εξάρτυση όταν χρησιμοποιείτε το μηχάνημα!
Πάντα βεβαιωθείτε ότι το μηχάνημα είναι συνδεδεμένο με ασφάλεια στην εξάρτυση.
Σε αντίθετη περίπτωση, δεν θα μπορείτε να ελέγχετε το μηχάνημα με ασφάλεια. Αυτό μπορεί να προκαλέσει τραυματισμό στον εαυτό σας ή στους άλλους.
Μην χρησιμοποιείτε ποτέ μια εξάρτυση με ελαττωματικό σύστημα πρόσδεσης ή οποιαδήποτε άλλη βλάβη.
1. Βεβαιωθείτε πως οι ιμάντες της εξάρτυσης δεν είναι στραμμένοι και πως το σημείο σύνδεσης της εξάρτυσης βρίσκεται στα δεξιά σας.
Ρύθμιση της ισορροπίας στήριξης του μηχανήματος
1. Συνδέστε το μηχάνημά σας στο άγκιστρο.
2. Ρυθμίστε τους ιμάντες της εξάρτυσης ώστε η κεφαλή κοπής να είναι παράλληλη με το έδαφος όταν στέκεται στην κανονική θέση εργασίας σας, για να
έχετε την μεγαλύτερη δυνατόν αποτελεσματικότητα και άνεση κατά τη λειτουργία του μηχανήματος.
3. Προκειμένου να αποφευχθεί η αλλαγή της θέσης του άγκιστρου κατά τη λειτουργία, τυλίξτε το επιπλέον μέρος του ιμάντα στην πόρπη.
4. Μετά την ρύθμιση, βεβαιωθείτε ότι το σύστημα ταχείας απελευθέρωσης λειτουργεί σωστά.
Σύστημα ταχείας απελευθέρωσης
Η εξάρτυση είναι εξοπλισμένη με ένα σύστημα ταχείας απελευθέρωσης.
Για να απελευθερώσετε το μηχάνημα από την εξάρτυση σε καταστάσεις έκτακτης ανάγκης, ακολουθήστε τη διαδικασία όπως εξηγείται παρακάτω.
Προειδοποίηση: Βεβαιωθείτε ότι έχετε ελέγξει τη σωστή λειτουργία του συστήματος αυτού πριν από τη λειτουργία του μηχανήματος. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι
κρατάτε το μηχάνημα με ασφάλεια όταν χρησιμοποιείτε το σύστημα ταχείας απελευθέρωσης.
Κρατώντας με ασφάλεια το μηχάνημα με το δεξί σας χέρι, πιέστε και τις δύο πλευρές της πόρπης.
Σύνδεση κεφαλής κοπής μπορντούρας (J)
(1) Κοντάρι (μπαστούνι)
(2) Μηχανισμός κοπής
(3) Οπή σύνδεσης
(4) Βίδα
(5) Βίδα σύνδεσης
1. Αφαιρέστε τη βίδα που βρίσκεται στο άκρο του μηχανισμού κοπής.
2. Εισαγάγετε το άκρο του μηχανισμού κοπής στο κοντάρι.
3. Ευθυγραμμίστε την οπή που βρίσκεται στο άκρο του μηχανισμού κοπής μέσα στην οποία πρόκειται να εισαχθεί η βίδα με την οπή στο κοντάρι και βιδώ-
στε τη βίδα καλά. Σε περίπτωση που δεν γίνεται η ευθυγράμμιση, περιστρέψτε ελαφρά την ντίζα μέχρι να ευθυγραμμιστούν.
4. Χρησιμοποιώντας ένα κλειδί, βιδώστε το μπουλόνι που παρέχεται για να στερεώσετε το μηχανισμό κοπής στη θέση του.
Ισορροπήστε το μηχάνημα στην θέση συγκράτησης
1. Φορέστε τον ιμάντα και συνδέστε το μηχάνημα στον ιμάντα.
2. Ανάλογα με τη θέση εργασίας, σύρετε το σφιγκτήρα προς τα πάνω ή προς τα κάτω έως ότου το μηχάνημα ισορροπήσει και η θέση είναι κατάλληλη για
την εκάστοτε εργασία.
Σύνδεση της κεφαλής κοπής κονταροπρίονου (K), (L), (M), (N), (O)

1. Αφαιρέστε το καπάκι στο άκρο του κονταριού.
2. Αφαιρέστε τη βίδα που βιδώνεται στο τέλος της κεφαλής κοπής.
3. Τοποθετήστε το άκρο του κιβωτίου στο κοντάρι.
3. Ευθυγραμμίστε την οπή που βρίσκεται στο άκρο του μηχανισμού κοπής μέσα στην οποία πρόκειται να εισαχθεί η βίδα με την οπή στο κοντάρι και βιδώ-
στε τη βίδα καλά. Σε περίπτωση που δεν γίνεται η ευθυγράμμιση, περιστρέψτε ελαφρά την ντίζα μέχρι να ευθυγραμμιστούν.
4. Χρησιμοποιώντας ένα κλειδί, βιδώστε την βίδα που παρέχεται για να στερεώσετε το μηχανισμό κοπής στη θέση του (L).

Τοποθετήστε τη λάμα κοπής και την αλυσίδα στην κεφαλή κοπής ως εξής:
Προειδοποίηση: Η αλυσίδα έχει πολύ κοφτερές αιχμές. Χρησιμοποιήστε γάντια προστασίας.
1. Ξεσφίξτε το παξιμάδι και αφαιρέστε τον προφυλακτήρα της αλυσίδας.
2. Τοποθετήστε τη λάμα και στη συνέχεια την αλυσίδα γύρω από τη λάμα και το γρανάζι.
Προειδοποίηση: Δώστε προσοχή στη σωστή κατεύθυνση της αλυσίδας.
