Carlyle Professional Hand Tools warrants to the original purchaser that the company’s digital torque wrenches are free from
defects in material or workmanship during the 1 year warranty period. We will repair or replace any digital
torquewrenchwhichfailstogivesatisfactoryserviceduetodefectiveworkmanshipormaterials(excludingcalibration)for1year
from the date of original purchase.(Calibrationisonlycoveredbythiswarrantyforeachnewunusedtorquewrenchoutofbox.)
Repairsorreplacementsarewarrantedas described above for the duration of the originalwarrantyperiod.Productsmust be

*1: The accuracy of the readout is guaranteed from 20% to 100%
of maximum range + /- 1 increment. The torque accuracy is a
typical value. Calibration point is at the middle line of the five
anti-slip lines on the rubber handle. To maintain the
accuracy of the torque wrench, calibration should be
performed once a year or every 5,000 cycles, whichever
comes first. Accuracy is based on the zero degree of offset
from perpendicular drive.
*2: Use one AAA battery.

• Thewrenchshouldbesentinforcalibrationonce
every year or every 5,000 cycles for re-calibration.

Step 4: Assemble the cover and the spring in advance.
Use tip-end handle to put the spring in groove and press it.

• Removethebatterycap.
• InsertoneAAAbatteries(provided)matchingthe-/+polarities
of the battery to the battery compartment.
• Replacethebatterycapandfastenittightlyaccordingtothe
illustrations.

LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE PROTECTION
Battery Indicator
• Ifthebatteryvoltageisbelow2.3volts,thewrench
 willhighlightthebatterysymbolandafterafew
moments turn off.
NOTE:
If an external force is being applied to the torque
wrenchduringpower-on/resetorwakeupperiod,an
initialtorquewillbeshowninthedisplay.Someorall
thelightswillilluminateandthewrenchwillsounda
continuous alarm tone.
To clear the display and stop the alarm press the
button.
SELECTING UNITS OF MEASURE
Thetorquewrenchdisplays4differentunitsof
measure:
 1. Newtonmeters(N-m)
2. Inch Pounds (in-lb)
3. Foot Pounds (ft-lb)
 4. KilogramCentimeter(kg-cm)
Pressingthebuttonallowsyoutocycle
sequentially through each of these units.

RESETTING PRESET VALUES
To change a preset value stored in memory:
1. Press the memory button repeatedly to
access the preset value to be changed. (e.g. M5)
2. Press the button to change the units of
measure if required.
3. UsetheUP/DOWNarrowbuttonsto
change the torque value.
Dooneofthefollowing:
A. Pressthebuttontostorethenewvalue.The
 torquewrenchwillstayatthenewmemory
 locationandwillbereadyforimmediateuse.
B. Press the button to go to the next memory
location in sequence. This is useful if you
 arewantingtochange/storemultiplevalues.
TorqueWrenchcomeswith9Presetvalues
pre-installed at the factory.
SELECTING TRACK AND PEAK MODES
Atstartupeithera(P)or(T)willshowinthelowerright
hand corner of the display depending on the last time the
wrenchwasused.
Note: Track (T) mode is the factory default.
1. In order to change the mode, press and hold the
button for 2 seconds.
Note:Thedisplaywillbrieflyflashthe"mode"screen.
2. UsetheUp/Downbuttonstotoggle 
 betweentheTrack(T)andPeakHold(P)modes.
3. Press button four (4) times to exit mode setting.
Ifthiswarningappears,thewrenchhasappliedmore
than 110% of the torque set in memory.

PEAK HOLD MODE
Storing Peak Hold Values:
PeakHoldMode: Thismodeallowstheoperatortoviewandstoreindividualtorquevalues.Upto50valuescan
 bestored.NOTE:Thepeakholdmodecanonlybeusedwithatorquevaluepreviouslystored
in one of the 9 Pre-Set memory locations.
1. Using the button, navigate to the desired
preset value.
(e.g. M3, M4, M5 . . . etc.)
2. Apply load to the handle until the red light
illuminates and the alarm tone sounds, then release
the load.
3. The highest torque value reached during the
 applicationshowsandflashesinthedisplay.
4. Pressing the button stores the torque value.
Note: Each time a value is stored, the location
number increases sequentially:
n001, n002, n003 . . . etc.
5. Pressingthebuttonwhilethetorquevalueis
 flashingallowstheoperatortobypassthisvalueand
not store it.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 4 until the desired number of
torque values have been stored.
NOTE: A maximum of 50 values can be stored in the Peak
Holdmemory.Theword"FULL"appearsinthedisplay
whenanattemptismadetostoremorethantheallotted
maximum.
TRACK MODE
After setting the (T) Track mode and assigning a
Memory Pre-Set to use, operator can begin to apply
loadtothewrench.
Asaloadisgraduallyappliedtothewrench,thedisplay
willshowtheoperatortheamountoftorqueonthe
fastener.
When 90% of the desired torque is reached, the green
lightswillbegintoflashandandalarmtonewillbeep
intermittently.
When 99.5% of the desired torque has been reached,
thealarmwillchangetoasteadytoneandthegreen
lightswillstopflashingandstayon.Theredlightwill
also illuminate. Solid green and red light and steady
tone at 99.5% of desired torque
TrackMode:Thismodeallowstheoperatortovisuallymonitortheamountofloadthatisbeingapplied.
Visual and auditory aids assist the operator in maintaining a consistent torque.
Flashing green light and intermittent
tone at 90% of desired torque
