Napoleon ASCENT SERIES User manual

NOTE: In the event of a power failure your appliance can be operated using the battery back-up supplied.
A. Remove the safety screen by lifting it up and off of the four shoulder screws.
B. Locate your battery holder, this would have been supplied in the manual baggie.
C. Locate the red and black wires from the control module to connect to the battery holder, as shown below.
D. Connect the red wire from the control module to the red wire of the battery back-up. Ensure the protective sleeve
covers the connections, as shown below.
E. Connect the black wire from the control module to the black wire of the battery back-up. Ensure the protective
sleeve covers the connections, as shown below.
F. Install two “D” size batteries, ensure the positive and negative ends correspond with those identified on the holder.
G. Place the battery holder either onto the hearth, or in the front left corner of the control area, for the duration of the
power failure, as shown below.
H. Ensure the safety screen is reinstalled onto the appliance during operation.
NOTE: Once the power has been restored, you must disconnect the battery back-up or remove the batteries from
the holder. The system will drain the batteries if they are left in the battery holder.

NOTE: En cas d’une panne de courrant votre appareil peut fonctionner utilisant le sauvegarde de pile fourni.
A. Enlever l’écran de protection en le levant vers le haut hors des quatre vis d’épaulement.
B. Trouver votre sauvegarde de pile, fourni aux sac du manuel.
C. Localiser les fils rouge et noir du module de contrôle pour brancher à votre sauvegarde de pile, comme illustrée
ci-dessous.
D. Brancher la fil rouge du module de contrôle aux fil rouge du sauvegarde de pile. Garantir que le manchon de
protection couvre les connexions, comme illustrée ci-dessous.
E. Brancher la fil noir du module de contrôle aux fil noir du sauvegarde de pile. Garantir que le manchon de
protection couvre les connexions, comme illustrée ci-dessous.
F. Installez deux piles “D”, garantir que les extrémités positive et négative correspondent à ceux identifiés sur le
sauvegarde de pile.
G. Placer le sauvegarde de pile soit sur l’âtre du foyer, ou dans le coin avant gauche du région du module de
contrôle, pour la duration du panne de courrant, comme illustrée ci-dessous.
H. Garantir que l’écran de protection soit reinstallez pendant l’opération de l’appareil.
NOTE: Une fois que les courant a été rétabli, débrancher le sauvegarde de pile ou enlever les piles. Le système
vidangera votre piles si’ils sont laissés dans le sauvegarde de pile.
