1. Safety Instructions
·This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
·This appliance is intended for riders older than 16 years and persons with physical and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
·The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.
·Wear a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads in case of a fall to avoid injury. Improper driving may lead to falls or
serious accidents.
·The scooter shall be used by one person only. Shoes muse be worn while riding. Do not use the scooter for other
purpose. This scooter is not intended for acrobatic use.
·The product is recommended for riders above age of 16 and below age of 50. People who are not suitable for riding
this product include: (1) persons under the inuence of alcohol or drugs, (2) persons unable to engage in strenuous
physical activities due to health or physical conditions, (3) persons who are incapable of keeping their balance or
who cannot keep their balance due to impaired motor skills, (4) persons whose size exceeds the weight limit, (5)
women who are pregnant, (6) persons who suer from visual and/or hearing impairments.
·Comply with local laws and regulations when riding this product. Do not ride where prohibited by local laws.
·When riding in countries and regions where there are no relevant national standards and regulations for electric
scooters, please be sure to strictly abide by the safety requirements for drivers in this operation manual. Brightway
innovation Intelligent Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. will not bear any direct responsibility and joint and several
liability for all property, personal losses, accidents, legal disputes, and all other adverse events that cause conicts
of interest caused by the use of behaviors in violation of the instructions for use.
·Do not ride in trac lanes or residential areas where vehicles and pedestrians are both allowed. When passing
through a place designated for pedestrians who are entitled to the right-of-way laws like crosswalk, please get o
to walk along with the scooter.
·Do not choose places where children, pedestrians, pets, vehicles, bicycles or other obstacles and potential dangers
may appear for your rst ride.
·Check the scooter before every use. When you note loose parts, low battery alerts, at tires, excessive wear, strange
sounds, malfunctions and other abnormal conditions, stop riding immediately and call for professional support.
·To ride safely, you must be able to clearly see what is in front of you and you must be clearly visible to others.
·Do not ride in bad weather, low visibility, or after intense physical exertion.
·Always park the scooter with kickstand on an even and stable surface.
·This electric scooter is a leisure device. However, when entering a public area, it will be considered a means of
transportation and subject to possible safety risks for all means of transportation. Riding in strict accordance with
the instructions in this manual will protect you and others to the greatest extent.

·The user should check the limits of use in accordance with the local regulations. Ride the scooter on the roads or
areas permitted by local regulations and laws and park it in the areas permitted. The maximum speed of the scooter
is limited to 25 km/h. If the local regulations and laws have dierent provisions on the maximum speed, the local
regulations and laws will prevail. Please respect and follow the road safety and vehicle rules.
·Respect pedestrians' Right of Way. Try not to startle them while driving, especially children. When you ride from
behind pedestrians, ring your bell to give them a heads-up and slow your scooter down to pass from their left, and
keep to the right at a low speed while riding across them (applicable to countries where vehicles drive on the right).
When you drive across pedestrians, keep the lowest speed or getting o the vehicle.
·In any case, anticipate your trajectory and your speed while respecting the code of the road, the code of the
sidewalk and the most vulnerable. Notify your presence when approaching a pedestrian or cyclist when you are not
seen or heard. Cross the protected passages while walking. Cross the protected passages while walking. Avoid high

·Riding with high speed or a speed that is not appropriate or adequate for the situation (bad weather conditions, bad

·Any load attached to the handlebar will aect the stability of the vehicle.
·Do not touch the brake system, it could cause injuries due to sharp edges. The brake may become hot in use. Do not
touch after use.
·The A-weighted emission sound pressure level is less than 70 dB(A).
·For a better riding experience, it is recommended to carry out a regular maintenance of the product.
·Eliminate any sharp edges caused by use.
·Accessories and any additional items which are not approved by the manufacturer shall not be used.
·Regularly check the tightening of the various bolted elements, in particular the wheel axles, the folding system, the
steering system and the brake shaft.
·Do not modify or transform the vehicle, including the steering tube and sleeve, stem, folding mechanism and rear
brake.
·Make sure the scooter is turned o when being transported and kept in its original packaging if possible.
Environmental Instructions
The scooter contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, and improper disposal of these batteries will cause harm
to the environment. Follow the steps below to remove the batteries before disposing of the scooter and discard the
batteries properly:
1. Before removing the batteries, it is better to use them up and make sure the scooter is disconnected from the power
supply. Then unscrew the bottom cover of the scooter to remove it.
2. Unplug the battery connector, and then remove the batteries. Do not damage the battery case to avoid any risk of
injuries.
3. Discard the removed batteries at a professional recycling facility.
·In order to avoid accidental injuries such as electric shock and re caused by improper use, please read the
instructions carefully before use, and keep them properly for future reference.
·Please use this product in accordance with the instructions in the User Manual. Users are responsible for any loss or
damage arising from improper use of this product.
·Do not charge if the charge port or charge cable is wet. Read this manual carefully before charging.
·Do not charge the scooter at an ambient temperature above 45° C or below 0° C.
·WARNING: For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable supply unit provided with
this appliance. Do not use a battery charger from any other product. Keep a safe distance from the surrounding
combustibles when charging.
·WARNING: Do not use any third-party battery or battery charger. Use only with FY0684201500 supply unit.
·WARNING! Keep plastic covering away from children to avoid suocation.

Error Notication: When the wrench icon displays red. it indicates that the
scooter has an error.
Cruise Control: The cruise control function is disabled by default and can
be enabled in the app.
Bluetooth: When the bluetooth icon is on, it means that the scooter has
been successfully connected to the mobile device.
Speedmeter: Indicates the current speed.
Walking Mode: is for walking mode, and its maximum speed is 6 km/h.

Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn the scooter on/o. When

3. Precautions
Note: Before using the product, please carefully read and abide by the following important safety information.
1. This product can only be used by one person. Do not
carry others at the same time while you are riding.
2. When riding this product, please wear a safety helmet
and suitable protective devices. Do not ride barefoot, or
in high-heeled shoes.
3. Do not ride this product in areas in which it is unsafe or
illegal to ride, or on unsafe or o-limits roads.
4. It is forbidden to ride this product on public roads and
highways.
5. Do not engage in any dangerous or unsafe actions
during driving, such as riding with one leg or one hand.
Make sure that both of your legs and hands are on the
scooter at all times.
7. For your driving safety, please maintain speeds within
25 km/h while riding. Please try to avoid riding at night.
lf you are required to ride at night, please turn on the
lights and maintain speeds of 15 km/h or less.
8. Do not use this product in an environment with a
temperature below -10 ° C / 14 ° F.

obstacles that have a height of more than 3 cm. Doing
so may cause the scooter to overturn and thereby cause

9. In case of uneven roads or other poor road conditions,
please slow down in time and attempt to drive slowly
and carefully, or else get o and push it until better
conditions are available. The scooter is a special riding
product, please try riding on a at, smooth road in
optimal conditions.
11. Do not immerse the product in water more than 4 cm
/ 1.57" inches deep to avoid damaging the battery of the
scooter.

4. Assembly
Safety tips: Before each ride, please check to ensure that the screws, folding safety lock, and other linkage parts and
components are not loose.
1. Open the kickstand.
3. Install the handlebars onto the stem, making sure to
install the handlebar in the correct direction.
4. Pre-tighten all six screws using the included wrench.
Make sure the handlebar is correctly installed before
tightening the screws thoroughly.
2. Lift the stem up completely until it is in an upright and
locked position. Lift the folding safety lock, and push the
quick-release lever inward to its end.
5. Deployment Steps
Safety Tips: When lifting the front part of the N40 scooter, NEVER put your hands between the joints as it can result in
serious and painful injuries.
1. Open the kickstand. 2. Pull the buckle upward to engage its release from the
hook.
3. Raise the stem back up, lift the folding safety lock,
and push the quick-release lever inward to the end.

6. Folding Steps
The scooter MUST be turned o before being folded. Since the product can be folded, for your protection and safety,
do not step on or turn the folding safety lock when riding.
1. Open the kickstand. 2. Hold the stem, lift the folding safety lock, and open the
quick-release lever, then fold the stem.
3. Align the buckle with the hook and secure them
together.
4. Fold up the kickstand to complete scooter folding
process.

Note: Please always use the original charger. If damaged, please contact the manufacturer to replace.
1. Open the rubber protector plug of the charging port.
2. Plug the charger into the charging port.
3. Close the rubber protector plug after charging.
The scooter is fully charged when the LED on the charger changes
from red (charging) to green.
Hold the stem with either one hand or both hands to carry.

·Do not touch the interface when charging, be careful of electric shock.
·Please check and make sure the power is o before charging.
·NEVER turn on the power when charging.
·Do not use this product when charging to avoid damages.
·It is recommended to only charge at temperatures between
0-45 ℃ / 32-113 ° F.
·Please keep the scooter body away from heat sources, open ames, and
ammable and/or explosive gases (pressurized and liquid states).

9. Correct Riding Method
1. Check the scooter thoroughly before each ride, and ride
only after the folding safety lock is engaged.
2. Wear well-tted at heeled or athletic shoes when riding
this product.
3. Please practice riding safely in an open space.
4. Keep away from vehicles and crowded areas. Please drive
on the roads or areas as stipulated by local laws.
5. Safety helmet and protective equipment must always be
worn while riding.
6. Rider age range should ideally be between 16 and 50 years
old (inclusive).
7. You should not drive on uneven ground. If there are any
obstacles, please stop riding, fold up N40, or walk across the
blocked passage with product.
8. Avoid riding in rainy or snowy weather, or at night, and keep away from cars to prevent sudden stops or accidents.
9. The maximum load capacity of the product (user plus luggage) is 100 kg / 220.5 lbs.
10. The ideal height of the rider should be between 1.2 m to 2.0 m. (inclusive).
11. Do not hang or place objects on the scooter body or its handlebars.
12. This product is a personal riding product and should NEVER be used for stunt riding.
13. Users should abide by local laws and regulations.
14. It is recommended that the front and rear lights are checked before each ride.
15. Do not attempt to modify or adapt this product.
16. Never use replacement parts other than professionally produced parts provided by the original manufacturer.

1. This product should be ridden on the roads and areas stipulated by local laws. It is forbidden to ride outside the
roads and areas as stipulated by local laws. It is forbidden to ride on highways.
2. When crossing obstacles, stop riding and fold up the scooter, or slow down to pass safely.
3. When passing pedestrians, or navigating blind corners, please sound the bell to alert people of your prescence.
Never use any replacement parts not produced by the manufacturer, nor allow repair by third-parties other than those
approved by the manufacturer. You should understand that following the instructions and warnings in this manual can
reduce risks, but will not eliminate all risks. Please always remember that you may be at risk of losing control, collisions,
and falls while using the scooter. Whenever entering a public area, please abide by the local laws and regulations. Just
like all vehicles, the faster you drive a scooter, the longer it takes to stop. On smooth ground, emergency braking may
also cause the wheel to slip or the driver to fail. Therefore, it is very important to stay alert and keep a reasonably safe
distance from all other people and vehicles. When driving into unfamiliar areas, always stay alert and drive at lower
speeds.

Riding Preparation
1. Press the power button to turn the scooter on.
2. Place one foot on the deck and the other foot on the ground.
3. Slide the scooter body forward and gently press the accelerator, the
scooter will move forward slowly.
4. When riding, hold the handlebar tightly with both hands to avoid injury,
or any falls due to loss of balance.
5. Once the scooter is running smoothly, move the other foot onto the
pedal. When pressing the accelerator, the greater the acceleration angle
applied, the faster the scooter speed.
1. Choose an open space suitable for riding.
2. Ride on at and smooth roads.
3. Unfold the product according to the instructions and wear protective
equipment.
4. Wear comfortable shoes that t your feet well, yet are suitable for
activity.
5. Keep away from vehicles and crowded places.
6. Protect yourself and others under all circumstances.
Parking
1. Under normal circumstances, if you hold the left brake handle, the scooter will power o the accelerator and brake
immediately. The greater the grip angle, the greater the braking force.
2. In case of emergency, hold the left brake lever tightly to activate the front wheel electromagnetic braking and rear
wheel friction braking. The rear brake disc will heat up rapidly during use. Please do not ever touch it as doing so may
result in harm or burns.

Storage and Daily Maintenance
Do not make any modications to the N40 scooter
Inate the Tire
During maintenance, add a small amount of grease or lubricant to the folding part every 6 months. Check the tightness
of the screws on the scooter every 3 months and tighten any loose screws.
Please fully charge the battery before the rst use of the scooter.
Charging will not damage the battery. If this product is not used for a long time, please make sure it is charged at least
every 3 months.
Please never ret or modify the scooter in any way, including the steering column and sleeve, rod, folding parts, and
rear brake assembly.
Check the tire pressure every month, and inate the tires if the pressure is too low. The recommended tire pressure is 35 psi.
·It is recommended to check the folding device, shock absorber, wheel and axle of the scooter regularly. If there is
wear, please replace them promptly.
·It is recommended that the frame and front fork are regularly checked. Long term use may lead to loosened screws.
Clean and tighten the screws regularly if needed.
·Please replace any parts in case of failure, damage, or malfunction.
·When the parts exceed the expected service life, please replace them in due time.
The scooter should always be turned o before being cleaning.
Please never leave the scooter in the hot sun or wet place for extended periods of time.
Please keep the scooter clean.
Do not clean thes scooter with a high pressure hose or nozzle.
Please never scrub with corrosive soaps or solvents.

14. Troubleshooting

Check whether the tail light is on, if not, replace the controller or
instrument. If it is on, please check whether the wire connection between
controller and instrument.

E4 Wheel Motor Error Check whether the wheel motor and the controller cord are well
connected or replace the motor.

16. Warranty and service15. Certication
If the product is within the warranty period from the date of your purchase, we will repair, replace or return it free of
charge as the case may be if it is conrmed by the manufacturer or dealer that it is faulty or damaged due to quality
defects under normal use. Unless otherwise specied by relevant laws, the product or component used for replacement
may not be new, but nevertheless performs well and is equivalent, at least, to the original product or component in
function. The warranty period is calculated from the rst date of purchase of the product, subject to the invoice date.
If there is no valid invoice, the warranty period shall be calculated from the date of delivery plus thirty (30) days. If
the invoice date is later than the actual delivery date of the product, the warranty period shall be calculated from the
actual delivery date. The repaired or replaced products shall continue to enjoy the warranty for the rest of the warranty
period, but not less than thirty (30) days. For warranty application, please contact the manufacturer or distributor of
the product and follow the instructions. When applying for warranty, an accurate,complete and clear valid sales invoice
should be provided.
The above warranty does not apply to failure, malfunction or damage caused by: (a) misuse, abuse or improper
transportation, maintenance or storage, such as but not limited to use, storage or maintenance under improper
temperature, humidity or other improper environmental conditions; (b) force majeure or accidents, network or power
interruption and other reasons beyond our reasonable control: (c) repair or removal without authorization from the
manufacturer; (d) the way in which damage has been caused by any third party products or services shall be specied
(purposes other than those for which the product has been designated or intended: (f) using the product in violation of
the product instructions: (g) using the product for commercial purposes; or (h) the accumulated mileage recorded by
the scooter body has exceeded 2000 km. Normal wear and tear or aging, scratches, abrasions and problems caused
by the use of coatings, solvents or other chemicals during general use of the product do not fall within the scope of the
warranty. If the original identication label of the product is changed or damaged, this warranty will be invalid. The
integrity and completeness of the products and of the attached materials are not within the scope of the warranty.. You
should inspect the products on the spot when receiving them and object immediately to any ascertained discrepancy/ies.

Consignes de recyclage
La trottinette contient un bloc batterie lithium-ion rechargeable, et une mauvaise élimination de ces batteries peut être

4. Montage
Astuce de sécurité: avant chaque sortie, contrôlez la trottinette pour vous assurer que les vis, le mécanisme de blocage
du pliage et les autres pièces et composants de liaison ne sont pas desserrés.
1. Dépliez la béquille.
3. Installez les poignées sur la potence, assurez-vous
d'installer le guidon dans le bon sens.
4. Préserrez les six vis à l'aide de la clé fournie. Assurez-
vous que le guidon est correctement installé avant de
serrer les vis à fond.

6. Étapes du pliage
La trottinette DOIT être éteinte avant d'être pliée. Pour éviter que le produit ne se replie, pour votre protection et votre
sécurité, n'appuyez pas sur le mécanisme de blocage du pliage pendant que vous roulez.
1. Dépliez la béquille. 2. Maintenez la potence, soulevez le mécanisme de
blocage du pliage et soulevez le levier de serrage rapide,
puis repliez la potence.
3. Alignez l'anneau avec le crochet et accrochez-les
ensemble.
4. Repliez la béquille pour terminer le pliage complet de
la trottinette.

la roue ou faire tomber le conducteur. Il est donc très important de rester concentré et de conserver une distance de
sécurité raisonnable avec les passants et les véhicules. Quand vous conduisez dans des endroits avec lesquels vous
n'êtes pas familiers, restez toujours concentré et conduisez à vitesse réduite.

Préparation à la conduite
1. Appuyez sur le bouton Marche pour allumer la trottinette.
2. Placez un pied sur le plateau et l'autre pied sur le sol.
3. Faites avancer le corps de la trottinette et appuyez doucement sur
l'accélérateur pour la faire avancer lentement.
4. Quand vous roulez, tenez le guidon fermement avec les deux mains pour
éviter de vous blesser ou de perdre l'équilibre et de tomber.
5. Une fois que la trottinette est lancée, mettez l'autre pied sur la pédale.
Quand vous appuyez sur l'accélérateur, plus l'angle d'accélération appliqué
est élevé, plus la trottinette avance vite.
1. Choisissez un espace ouvert adapté à la conduite.
2. Roulez sur des routes plates et lisses.
3. Dépliez le produit en suivant les instructions et portez un équipement
de protection.
4. Portez des chaussures confortables bien ajustées à vos pieds et
adaptées à cette activité.
5. Restez à distance des véhicules et des endroits très fréquentés.
6. Protégez-vous et protégez les autres en toutes circonstances.
Stationnement
1. En conditions normales, si vous maintenez la poignée de frein gauche, la trottinette désactive l'accélérateur et freine
immédiatement. Plus l'angle de la poignée est grand, plus la force de freinage est importante.
2. En cas d'urgence, serrez très fort le levier du frein gauche pour activer le freinage électromagnétique de la roue
avant et le freinage à friction de la roue arrière. Le disque du frein avant chaue rapidement pendant l'utilisation. Ne le
touchez pas, pour éviter des blessures ou des brûlures.
