本製品を安全に正しくご使用になるために必要な情報が記載されています。
安全に関わる表示について
本製品を安全にお使い頂くために、この取扱説明書の指示に従って操作してください。
この取扱説明書には装置のどこが危険でどのような危険に遭うおそれがあるか、どうすれば危険を避けられ
るかなどについて説明されています。
取扱説明書では危険の程度を表す言葉として、「警告」と「注意」という用語を使用しています。
それぞれの用語は次の意味を持つものとして定義しています。
“取扱いを誤った場合、使用者が死亡または重傷(*1)を負うことが想定され
ること”を示します。
“取扱いを誤った場合、使用者が傷害(*2)を負うことが予想されるか、または
物的損害(*3)の発生が想定されること”を示します。
*1: 重傷とは、失明やけが、やけど(高温・低温)、感電、骨折、中毒などで後遺症が残るものおよび治療に入
院・長期の通院を要するものをさします。

一般的な注意事項
人命に関わる業務や高度な信頼性を必要とする業務には使用しない
本製品は医療機器・原子力設備や機器、航空宇宙機器・輸送設備や機器など、人命に
関わる設備および高度な信頼性を必要とする設備などには使用しないでください。
これらの設備に本製品を使用した結果、人身事故、財産損害などが生じても当社はい
かなる責任も負いかねます。
煙や異臭、異音がしたまま使用しない
万一、煙、異臭、異音などが生じた場合は、直ちに本体装置の電源を OFF にした後、
本体装置の電源プラグを AC コンセントから取り外してください。その後、お買い
求めの販売店または保守サービス会社にご連絡ください。そのまま使用すると火災
の原因となります。
針金や金属片を差し込まない
本製品に金属片や針金などの異物を差し込まないでください。感電の危険がありま
す。
本製品に水や異物を入れない
本製品に水などの液体、ピンやクリップなどの異物を入れないでください。火災や感
電、故障の原因となります。もし入ってしまったときは、すぐ本体装置の電源を OFF
にして、電源プラグを AC コンセントから抜いてください。分解しないで、お買い
求めの販売店または保守サービス会社にご連絡ください。

設置・移動・保管・接続に関する注意事項
指定以外のケーブルを使用しない
電源ケーブルは、適合するものを使用し、接続する装置やコネクタを確認した上で接
続してください。指定以外のケーブルを使用したり、接続先を誤ったりすると、ショ
ートにより火災を起こすことがあります。また、電源ケーブルの取り扱いや接続につ
いて、次の注意をお守りください。破損したケーブルコネクタを使用しない
⚫破損したケーブルコネクタを使用しない
⚫ケーブルを踏まない
⚫ケーブルの接続がゆるんだまま使用しない
⚫破損したケーブルを使用しない
腐食性ガスの存在する環境で使用または保管しない
腐食性ガス（二酸化硫黄、硫化水素、二酸化窒素、塩素、アンモニア、オゾンなど）
の存在する環境に設置し、使用しないでください。また、ほこりや空気中に腐食を促
進する成分（塩化ナトリウムや硫黄など）や導電性の金属などが含まれている環境へ
も設置しないでください。製品内部のプリント基板が腐食し、故障および発煙・発火
の原因となるおそれがあります。
廃棄・譲渡に関する注意事項
⚫本製品を廃棄する場合は各自治体の条例に従ってください。詳しくは、各自治体
にお問い合わせください。
⚫本製品を他人に譲渡する場合は、本書および添付品すべてを必ず一緒に渡してく
ださい。

取扱注意事項
分解・修理・改造はしない
本製品を分解したり、修理・改造を行ったりしないでください。感電や火災の危険があ
ります。
本体装置の電源コードを抜く
本体装置への取り付け・取り外しをするときには、必ず電源プラグを AC コンセントか
ら外してください。感電するおそれがあります。
高温に注意する
本体装置の電源を OFF にした直後は、装置内の部品が高温になっています。十分に冷め
たことを確認してから取り付け／取り外しを行ってください。
人体から静電気を放電してから取り扱う
静電気による部品の破壊を防ぐため、アダプタに触れる前には、必ず人体から静電気を
放電してください。
アダプタ上で塗装されていない金属部分には触れない
アダプタの通信ポートや、各部品の端子部、およびアダプタ上で塗装されていない金属
部分には、決して触れないでください。汚れや腐蝕等により、接触不良が発生するおそれ
があります。また、濡れた手や汚れた手で触れないでください。
アダプタを無理に挿入しない
アダプタを本体装置に搭載する際は、無理に挿入しないでください。その際アダプタ、お
よび本体装置を破損するおそれがあります。
ブラケットの先端部を本体装置のボード部等に触れない
アダプタを拡張スロットに挿入する際、ブラケットの先端が本体装置の他の部位（他の
部品、ボードなど）に触れないようにご注意ください。破損するおそれがあります。
ケーブルは確実に接続する
ケーブル接続時は、しっかりとケーブルコネクタを挿入してください。
装置前面や内部にほこりが積もった状態で運用しない
定期的に清掃してください。装置前面や内部にほこりが積もった状態で運用を続けると、
火災の原因となるおそれがあります。装置内部の清掃が必要な場合は、お買い求めの販
売店、または保守サービス会社にご相談ください。
消毒薬が手指に付着した状態で本製品の取り付け・取り外しをしない
オプション製品の取り付け、取り外しは、消毒薬が手指に付着した状態で行わないでく
ださい。消毒薬が本機に付着することにより、腐食し、故障および発煙・発火の原因とな
るおそれがあります。

Safety Indication
Follow the instructions in this Startup Guide for your safety to use this product.
The server contains components with possible danger, hazards that may cause by ignoring warnings, and
preventive actions against such hazards.
The words “WARNING” and “CAUTION” are used to indicate the degrees of danger.
These terms are defined as follows:
Indicates the presence of a hazard that may result in death
or serious personal injury if the instruction is ignored.

Precautions for Safety
This section provides precautions for using this product safely. Read this section carefully to ensure proper
and safe use of the server. For symbol meanings, see “Safety Indications”
General Precautions
Do not use the product for services where critical high availability may
directly affect human lives.
The product is not intended to be used with or control facilities or devices concerning
human lives, including medical devices, nuclear facilities and devices, aeronautics and
space devices, transportation facilities and devices; and facilities and devices requiring
high reliability. NEC assumes no liability for any accident resulting in personal injury, death,
or property damage if the product has been used in the above conditions.
Do not continue to use the equipment if you detect smoke, odor, or
noise.
If the equipment emits smoke, odor, or noise, immediately unplug the power cord of the
server. Then, contact your service representative. Continuing to use the product in such
condition may cause a fire.
Do not insert a wire or metal object.
Do not insert a wire or metal object into this product.
There is a risk of an electric shock.
Keep water or foreign matter away from the equipment.
Do not let any form of liquid (water etc.) or foreign matter (e.g., pins or paper clips) enter
the equipment. Failure to follow this warning may cause an electric shock, a fire, or a failure
of the equipment. When such things accidentally enter the equipment, immediately turn
the power off and unplug the power cord. Then, contact your service representative.

Precautions for Handling of Internal Devices
Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the product yourself.
Do not disassemble, repair, or modify this product. Doing so may cause an electrical
shock or a fire. Do not put the product close to fire, or immerse it in water. Doing so may
cause an explosion. If the product does not function normally, contact your service
representative.
Unplug all power cords
Turn the power off and unplug the power before removing the computer's cover. Failure to
do so could endanger you and may damage the adapter or computer
Avoid installation in extreme temperature conditions.
Immediately after the server is powered off, its internal components such as heat sink are very hot.
Leave the server until its internal components fully cool down before installing/removing any
component.
Ground yourself to dissipate any static charge before handling the
adapter.
To prevent any damage on components due to static electricity, make sure to discharge
static electricity from yourself before you touch the adapter.
Don’t touch uncoated metal parts on adapter.
Never touch the adapter’s terminals of components or uncoated metal parts on adapter.
Otherwise, taint, erosion or others may cause loose connection. Do not touch this
product with wet or dirty hands.
Excessive force could break the connector.
On installing this adapter, do not insert it by force. Otherwise, the adapter and the
server may be damaged.
Don’t touch the tip of bracket to other parts of server.
When you insert the adapter into expansion slot, be careful not to touch the tip of bracket
to other parts of server (such as other components or board). Otherwise, they may be
damaged.
Firmly connect the cable.
When connecting the cable, insert the cable connector firmly.
Don’t operate with dust on the front or inside of the device. Clean it
regularly.
Continued operation with dust on the front or inside of the device may cause a fire. If you
need to clean the inside of the device, contact the store where you purchased the
product or a maintenance service company.
Don’t attach or remove this product with the disinfectant attached to
your fingers.
Don’t install or remove optional products with the disinfectant on your fingers. If the
disinfectant adheres to the machine, it may corrode and cause malfunction, smoke or
fire.

Precautions for Installation, Relocation, Storage and
Connection
Do not use any unauthorized interface cable.
Use only interface cables authorized by NEC and locate a proper device and connector
before connecting a cable. Using an authorized cable or connecting a cable to an improper
destination may cause a short circuit, resulting in a fire. Also, observe the following notes
on using and connecting an interface cable.
- Do not use any damaged cable connector.
- Do not step on the cable.
- Do not put any object on the cable.
- Do not use the card with the loose interface cable connection.
- Do not use any damaged cable.
Do not use the equipment in the place where corrosive gases exist.
Make sure not to locate or use the equipment in the place where corrosive gases (sulfur
dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, chlorine, ammonia, ozone, etc.) exist.
Also, do not set it in the environment where the air (or dust) includes components
accelerating corrosion (ex. sulfur, sodium chloride) or conductive metals.

1.1. 特徴
本製品は Express5800 シリーズ専用の GPGPU(General-purpose computing on graphics processing
units)です。
本製品は CUDA コアプロセッサを 1280 コア、Tensor コアを 40 コア搭載し、16GB のメモリを搭載し
たPCI–EXPRESS4.0 対応の GPGPU カードです。カードサイズはハーフレングス・ロープロファイルのカー
ドです。
弊社が指定する本体装置以外には搭載しないでください。
接続可能な本体装置は本製品を購入された販売店または保守サービス会社にお問い合わ
せください。
本体装置によっては搭載先のスロットを指定している場合があります。詳細は本体
装置のシステム構成ガイド等を参照してください。
1.2. 各部の名称と機能
⚫ブラケット
本製品ではフルハイトサイズのブラケットのほか、ロープロファイルサイズのブラケットを添付してい
ます。本体装置の搭載スロットの形状に応じてブラケットを付替えることができます。
⚫PCI-Express®コネクタ
本製品は PCI-Express® 4.0 以降に準拠した、x8 レーン(形状/バス幅いずれも)以上のスロットに搭載
可能です。
⚫リテンションフック
ボードを固定するための機構です。マザーボード側にこのフックを固定するための機構が備わっている
サーバがあります。
