本書は、NE3108-004 2ch 10GBASE カード （以下「本製品」と呼びます）を正しく、安全に設置、使用するための
手引きです。本製品を取り扱う前に必ずお読みください。また、本製品を使用する上でわからないこと、不具合が起
きたときにもぜひご利用ください。本書は、必要な時にすぐに参照できるように必ずお手元に保管してください。
本製品を取り付ける基本処理装置（以下「本体装置」と呼びます）の取り扱いについての説明は、本体装置に添
付されたユーザーズガイドを参照してください。また、本製品を取り扱う前に「使用上のご注意」、「取り扱い上のご
注意」を必ずお読みください。

This is a guide to the safe and proper use of the NE3108-004 2Port 10GBASE LAN Card (hereafter, this
product). Be sure to read this guide before handling this controller. Please refer to this document if there
is something that you do not understand or a problem occurs while using this controller. Store this guide
close to this controller for easy reference.
For an explanation on the handling of the basic processing unit (hereafter, Computer) that this controller is
installed in, please refer to the User's Guide that came with the basic processing unit. In addition, be sure

警告

的とした使用は意図されておりません。これら設備や機器、制御システムなどに本製品を使用した結

ご自分で分解、修理、改造はしない
本書に記載されている場合を除き、絶対に分解したり、修理・改造を行ったりしないでください。装置が
正常に動作しなくなるばかりでなく、感電や火災の危険があります。故障の際はお買い求めの販売店
または保守サービス会社にご連絡ください。
電源プラグを差し込んだまま取り扱わない
本製品の取り付け／取り外しは、本体装置の電源を OFF にして、電源プラグをコンセントから抜いて行
ってください。たとえ電源を OFF にしても、電源コードを接続したまま装置内の部品やケーブル／コネク
タに触ると感電したり、ショートにより火災を起こしたりすることがあります。また、ぬれた手で本装置の
取り付け・取り外しを行わないでください。故障するばかりでなく、感電するおそれがあります。
煙や異臭・異音がしたまま使用しない
万一、煙・異臭・異音などが生じた場合は、ただちに電源を OFF にして電源コードをコンセントから抜い
てください。その後、お買い求めの販売店または保守サービス会社にご連絡ください。 そのまま使
用すると火災の原因となります。
注意
ケーブル部を持って引き抜かない
本体装置の電源コードなどを抜くときはコネクタ部分およびタブを持ってまっすぐに引き抜いてくださ
い。ケーブル部分を持って引っ張ったりコネクタ部分に無理な力を加えたりするとケーブル部分が破損
し、火災や感電の原因となります。

注意
高温に注意する
本体装置の電源を OFF にした直後は、装置内の部品が高温になっています。十分に冷めたことを確認
してから取り付け／取り外しを行ってください。
確実に接続する
本製品を本体装置の PCI EXPRESS スロットに接続するときは、確実に差し込んでください。完全に差し
込まなかった場合、発煙や発火のおそれがあります。
中途半端に差し込まない
電源コードおよびケーブルは根本までしっかりと差し込んでください。中途半端に差し込むと接触不良
のため発熱し、火災の原因となることがあります。また差し込み部にほこりがたまり、水滴などが付くと
発熱し、火災の原因となるおそれがあります。
指定以外のインタフェースケーブルを使用しない
インタフェースケーブルは、指定するものを使用し、接続する装置やコネクタを確認した上で接続してく
ださい。指定以外のケーブルを使用したり、接続先を誤ったりすると、ショートにより感電や火災を起こ
すことがあります。
インタフェースケーブルの取り扱いや接続について次の注意をお守りください。
・破損したケーブルを使用しない。
・ケーブルを踏まない
・ケーブルの上にものを載せない
・ケーブルを改造・加工・修復しない
また、Fibre Channel ケーブルを取り外すときは、ラッチを押さえて、コネクタ部分を持って真っ直ぐに引
き抜いてください。Fibre Channel ケーブルは、当社指定のものを使用し、接続先をよく確認した上で接
続してください。
Fibre Channel コネクタにカバーせず使用しない
常に Fibre Channel コネクタは付属の防塵カバーもしくは Fibre Channel ケーブルを接続した
状態で使用してください。異常故障が発生した場合にレーザ光で目や皮膚を傷めることがあ
ります。
光線を直視しない
NE3108-005 10GBASE-SR 光モジュールは通信にクラス 1 レーザ光線を使用しています。
このレーザ光線は、人体への影響はほとんどありませんが、動作中は光コネクタ端子をのぞ
きこまないでください。
腐食性ガスの存在する環境で使用または保管しない
腐食性ガス（二酸化硫黄、硫化水素、二酸化窒素、塩素、アンモニア、オゾンなど）の存在する環境に
設置し、使用しないでください。また、ほこりや空気中に腐食を促進する成分（塩化ナトリウムや硫黄な
ど）や導電性の金属などが含まれている環境へも設置しないでください。装置内部のプリント板が腐食
し、故障および発煙・発火の原因となるおそれがあります。もしご使用の環境で上記の疑いがある場合
は、販売店または保守サービス会社にご相談ください。

Follow all instructions in this User's Guide to ensure the safe operation of this controller This guide
explains what areas pose a danger, what may result from not following safety instructions and how
to avoid danger. "Warning" and "Caution" are the terms used here to express the level of danger.
These terms mean the following.

Never attempt to disassemble, repair, or alter this product on any occasion other than
described in this guide. Failure to follow this instruction may cause an electric shock or
fire as well as malfunctions of this product.
Do not handle this product during an electrical storm.
When installing this product in the computer, please read the user's guide of the computer and
unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet. Do not insert or remove the power plug with wet
hands. Doing so can lead to faults or electric shock.
Do not pull on the lead when unplugging the power plug from the electrical outlet. Doing so can
damage the power cord and lead to shorting or electric shock.

If smoke, odor, or noise is present, immediately turn off the POWER/SLEEP switch
and disconnect the power plug from the outlet, then contact your sales agent. Using
this product in such conditions may cause a fire.
Do not pull the cable when disconnecting it.
When disconnecting the cable from the device, hold the cable connector/cable tag and
pull it straight out. Pulling the cable out by the cable portion or giving mechanical
stress to the connector could damage the cables and connectors to result in an
electrical shock hazard or a fire.

Avoid installation in extreme temperature conditions.
Immediately after the computer is powered off, its internal components such as hard
disks are very hot. Leave the computer until its internal components fully cool down
before installing/removing any component.
Connect firmly.
Please connect the product to the computer firmly. A loose connection can cause a
contact failure and can lead to smoke or fire.
Insert the power plug into the outlet as far as it
goes.
Heat generation resulting from a halfway inserted power plug/cable (imperfect contact)
may cause a fire. Heat will also be generated if condensation is formed on dusty
blades of the halfway inserted plug, increasing the possibility of fire.
Do not use any unauthorized interface cable.
Use only the interface cable that comes with this product. Use of an unauthorized
interface cable may cause a fire when the electric current exceeds the rated flow.
Also, observe the following to prevent an electric shock or fire caused by a damaged
cord.
Ø Do not use any damaged cable. (Replace a damaged cable with a new one of the
same specifications. Ask your sales agent for replacement.)
Ø Do not step the cable.
Ø Do not place any object on the cable.
Ø Do not alter, modify, or repair the cable.
When disconnecting a cable, push the latch, hold the connector, and pull it out straight.
Use only the Fibre Channel cable authorized by NEC and connects it to the proper connector.
Ignoring these instructions may cause a short circuit, resulting in a fire, electric shock, or
malfunction.
Do not use this product without Fibre Channel connector cover
.
Always cover each Fibre Channel connectors with the provided cover or properly connect this
product to a Fibre Channel cable.
If an abnormal fault occurs, it could cause this product to operate in a mode that may cause eye
or skin damage.
Avoid direct look into the laser beam
The “NE3108-005 Optical module for 10GBASE SR” is classified as a Class 1 Laser Product. A
class 1 laser will not be harmful to the human body. However, do not look directly into the LAN
port during operation. Keep any vacant LC connector covered with a dust cover when you do
not use it or you transport it.
Do not use or store this product
in corrosive environment.
Avoid the usage or storage of this product in an environment which may be exposed to
corrosive gases, such as those including but not limited to: sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide,
nitrogen dioxide, chlorine, ammonia and/or ozone.
Avoid installing this product in a dusty environment or one that may be exposed to corrosive
materials such as sodium chloride and/or sulfur.
Avoid installing this product in an environment which may have excessive metal flakes or
conductive particles in the air.
Such environments may cause corrosion or short circuits within this product, resulting in not only
damage to this product, but may even lead to be a fire hazard.
If there are any concerns regarding the environment at the planned site of installation or
storage, please contact your sales agent．

本製品を使用するときに注意していただきたいことを次に示します。これらの注意を無視して、本製品を使

n 本製品は静電気に弱い電子部品で構成されています。製品の取り付け・取り外しの際は、静電気によ

Precautions on Use - Operating this product properly -
The following precautions must be observed when using this controller. Ignoring these precautions while
using this controller will result in the destruction of assets (data and other devices).
Please observe the following.
n This product is sensitive to static electricity. Please discharge any static electricity by wearing antistatic
wrist strap before handling the product. Moreover, connect the clip on the strap to a ground conductor.
n Turn off the cellular phone or pager. Radio interference may cause malfunctions of this product.
n Do not drop or hit the product. Doing so can lead to malfunction or failure.
n Please read this guide, and handle the product correctly.
n Please read the user's guide of the computer before connecting this product. When connecting the
product, insert the product firmly into the PCI EXPRESS slot. If this product is not correctly connected to
the PCI EXPRESS slot of computer, remove the product and connect it again. Using excessive force
can lead to damage.

備えて、ハードディスクドライブに保存されている大切なデータは、定期的にバックアップを行ってください。

本製品の廃棄については、各自治体の廃棄ルールに従って分別廃棄して下さい。詳しくは、各自治体にお問い合わ
せ下さい。

ハードディスクドライブやバックアップデータカートリッジ、フロッピーディスク、その他書き込み可能
なメディア(ＣＤ－Ｒ／ＣＤ－ＲＷなど)に保存されているデータは、第三者によって復元や再生、再
利用されないようお客様の責任において確実に処分してから廃棄してください。個人のプライバシ
ーや企業の機密情報を保護するために十分な配慮が必要です。

Packing Box Contents
There are various other accessories included in the packing box besides this controller. Please refer to the
"2. Components" to make sure that all parts are included. Contact the dealer that you bought this controller
from if any parts are missing or damaged.
Lifetime
This product has a product lifetime of five years.
The holding period for replacement parts is five years from production.
Transferring Ownership to a Third Party
When transferring ownership or selling this product to a third party, be sure to pass on this guide and all
accessories together with this product.
The party transferring or selling this controller must transfer all software and maintain no copies. As well, all
installed software must be deleted before this product is transferred or sold.
Transportation
When transporting this product, please refer to the packing list to remove this controller from the basic
processing unit and repack it and all of its accessories into the original packing box.
Storing Data
Data may be lost through a device malfunction due to human error, physical shock, temperature change or
other means. To prevent this, be sure to regularly backup essential data saved on the hard disk.
Disposal
Dispose of this cage according to governing regulations. Contact your local government for details.
Important
Dispose the data saved in hard disks, backup data cartridges, floppy disks, and other
data acceptable media (such as CD-R and CD-RW) securely in the customer’s
responsibility so that the data may not be restored, reproduced, and/or reused by
third parties. Take sufficient notes to protect personal privacy and corporate secret
information.

参照してください。
2. PXE/iSCSI ブートはサポートしていません。
3. Wake On LAN はサポートしていません。
4. ホットプラグ、スワップ、リムーブはサポートしていません。

3.各部の名称と機能
NE3108-004 2ch 10GBASE カード
l SFP スロット
SFP+モジュールまたは DA ケーブルを接続するスロットです。本製品では光インターフェースとし
てNE3108-005 10GBASE-SR 光モジュール(別売)の接続をサポートします。防塵用のスロットカバ
ーが取り付けられていますので取り外して使用してください。外したスロットカバーは大切に保管
してください。本スロットをお使いにならない場合はスロットカバーを取り外さないでください。

l ブラケット
本体装置の増設スロットへ固定するためのブラケット。
l PCI-Express®コネクタ

4.LED
本製品はリンク/通信状態を表示する LED をそれぞれのポートに備えています。
カード上には SFP スロットとファンの状態を示す LED を備えています。
LED 状態 意味
SFP スロット LED 点灯(橙) SFP スロットに SFP+モジュールが取り付けられていない。
消灯 SFP+モジュールが取り付けられている。
FAN LED 点灯(赤) ファンに異常がある。
消灯 ファンが正常に動作している。
※いずれの LED も本体装置電源が OFF の場合は消灯しています。
重要
n ファンが停止すると、ポートが使用不能となり通信も切断されます。復旧にはシス
テムの再起動が必要です。復旧しない場合や再発する場合は本製品を購入され
た販売店または保守サービス会社にお問い合わせください。

5.SFP+モジュール取り付け/取り外し手順
SFP+モジュールの取り付け/取り外しは、本製品を本体装置へ実装していない状態で実施してください。
取り付け方
1. SFP+モジュールを取り付けるスロットからスロットカバーを外す。
重要
n 取り外したスロットカバーは大切に保管してくださ
い。
2. SFP スロットに SFP+モジュールを挿入する。
重要
n SFP+モジュールのレバーは倒さずに挿入してく
ださい。
n カチッと音がするまでしっかり挿入してください。

取り外し方
1. SFP+モジュールのレバーを矢印方向に倒す
2. SFP スロットから矢印方向に引き抜く

6.本体装置への取り付け/取り外し
本体装置への取り付け、取り外しは保守員が行います。事前に契約されている保守サービス会社、または購入さ
れた販売店へ連絡してください。なお、作業の実施には、システムの停止が必要となります。
重要
n 本体装置から取り外した増設スロットカバーは大切に保管してください。
7.ケーブル取り付け/取り外し手順
取り付け方
1. SFP+モジュールから防塵カバーを取り外す。
重要
n 取り外した防塵カバーは大切に保管してください。
2. ケーブルを挿入する。
チェック
n コネクタの接点部分が汚れていないことを確認し
てください
重要
n 本体装置の端と干渉しないようケーブルのラッチ部分を押さえて、カチッとケーブル
が固定されるまでしっかり押し込んでください。
光線を直視しない
NE3108-005 10GBASE-SR 光モジュールは通信にクラス1 レーザ光線を使用しています。こ
のレーザ光線は、人体への影響はほとんどありませんが、動作中は光コネクタ端子をのぞきこ
まないでください。

取り外し方
1. ケーブルラッチを押さえながらケーブルを引き抜く。

n ケーブルを取り外した SFP+モジュールには保管していた防塵カバーを取り付けてく
ださい。
8.ケーブルについて
NE3108-005 10GBASE-SR 光モジュールは IEEE802.3ae 規格に準拠した 10GBASE-SR インターフェースを持ち、
850nm の波長を使用して MMF(マルチモードファイバ)ケーブル配線を通しての 10Gbps/全二重通信をサポート
しています。
MMF ケーブルは以下の仕様のものをお使いください。SMF(シングルモードファイバ)ケーブルは使用できま
せん。コネクタタイプ（形状）が LC タイプのケーブルをお使いください。

9.ドライバーのインストール
Windows OS をご使用の場合は、本体装置添付の EXPRESSBUILDER をご使用いただき、下記 URL の
「Express5800/スケーラブル HA サーバ インストレーションガイド(Windows 編）)」を参照して、Starter Pack を適用
してください。
EXPRESSBUILDER よりも新しいドライバーは、以下の URL に存在する可能性があります。ここで本製品の型番を
対象とするドライバーがないかを確認し、もし存在する場合は、付属されているインストール手順に従い適用し
