本製品を安全に正しくご使用になるために必要な情報が記載されています。

本文中の名称については本書の「外観および各部の名称」の項をご参照ください。

本製品を安全にお使い頂くために、本書の指示に従って操作してください。

本書には装置のどこが危険でどのような危険に遭うおそれがあるか、どうすれば危険を避けられるかなどについて説明されています。

一般的な注意事項

人命に関わる業務や高度な信頼性を必要とする業務には使用しない

本製品は医療機器・原子力設備や機器、航空宇宙機器・輸送設備や機器など、人命に関わる設備および高度な信頼性を必

要とする設備などには使用しないでください。これらの設備に本製品を使用した結果、人身事故、財産損害などが生じて

も当社はいかなる責任も負いかねます。

本体装置の警告、注意事項に従う

本製品を使用する際は、必ず本体装置の警告、注意事項に従ってください。

煙や異臭、異音がしたまま使用しない

万一、煙、異臭、異音などが生じた場合は、直ちに本体装置の電源を OFF にした後、本体装置の電源プラグをＡＣコン

セントから取り外してください。その後、お買い求めの販売店または保守サービス会社にご連絡ください。そのまま使用

すると火災の原因となります。

本製品に水や異物を入れない

本製品に水などの液体、ピンやクリップなどの異物を入れないでください。火災や感電、故障の原因となります。もし入

ってしまったときは、すぐ本体装置の電源を OFF にして、電源プラグをＡＣコンセントから抜いてください。分解しな

いで、お買い求めの販売店または保守サービス会社にご連絡ください。

設置・保管・接続に関する注意事項

指定以外の場所に設置・保管しない

本製品を次に示す場所や、本体装置で指定している場所以外に置かないでください。火災の原因となるおそれがありま

す。

ほこりの多い場所

給湯器のそばなど湿気の多い場所

直射日光のあたる場所

不安定な場所

腐食性ガスの存在する環境で使用または保管しない

腐食性ガス（二酸化硫黄、硫化水素、二酸化窒素、塩素、アンモニア、オゾンなど）の存在する環境に設置し、使用しな

いでください。

また、ほこりや空気中に腐食を促進する成分（塩化ナトリウムや硫黄など）や導電性の金属などが含まれている環境へも

設置しないでください。製品内部のプリント基板が腐食し、故障および発煙・発火の原因となるおそれがあります。

電源プラグを差し込んだまま本製品やインターフェースケーブルの取り付けや取り外しをしない

本製品やインターフェースケーブルの取り付け／取り外しは、本体装置の電源を OFF にして、本体装置の電源プラグを

コンセントから抜いて行ってください。たとえ本体装置の電源を OFF にしても本体装置の電源プラグを接続したままケ

ーブルやコネクタに触ると感電したり、ショートによる火災を起こしたりすることがあります。

指定以外のインターフェースケーブルを使用しない

インターフェースケーブルは、弊社が指定するものを使用し、接続するディスプレイやコネクタを確認した上で接続して

ください。指定以外のものを使用したり接続先を誤ったりすると、ショートにより火災をおこすことがあります。また、

インターフェースケーブルの取り扱いや接続について次の注意をお守りください。

破損したケーブルコネクタを使用しない

ケーブルを踏まない

ケーブルの接続がゆるんだまま使用しない

破損したケーブルを使用しない

インターフェースは確実に固定する

ビデオケーブル、変換コネクタ等を接続したら、ねじ止め等のロックを確実に行ってください。接触不良を起こし、発煙

や発火の原因となる恐れがあります。

インターフェースケーブルを持って引き抜かない

ケーブルを抜くときは、ねじ止め等のロックを外し、コネクタ部分を持ってまっすぐに引き抜いてください。ケーブル部

分を持って引っ張ったりコネクタ部分に無理な力を加えたりするとケーブル部分が破損し、火災や感電の原因となりま

す。

取り扱いお手入れに関する注意事項

自分で分解・修理・改造はしない

本書に記載されている場合を除き、絶対に分解したり、修理・改造を行ったりしないでください。本製品が正常に動作

しなくなるばかりでなく、感電や火災の危険があります。

高温注意

本体装置の電源を OFF にした直後は、本製品を含め、装置内の部品が高温になっています。十分に冷えたことを確認し

てから取り付け／取り外しを行なってください。

人体から静電気を放電してから取り扱う

静電気による部品の破壊を防ぐため、アダプタに触れる前には、必ず人体から静電気を放電してください。

アダプタ上で塗装されていない金属部分には触れない

アダプタの通信ポートや、各部品の端子部、およびアダプタ上で塗装されていない金属部分には、決して触れないでく

ださい。汚れや腐蝕等により、接触不良が発生するおそれがあります。また、濡れた手や汚れた手で触れないでくださ

い。

アダプタを無理に挿入しない

アダプタを本体装置に搭載する際は、無理に挿入しないでください。その際アダプタ、および本体装置を破損するおそ

れがあります。

ブラケットの先端部を本体装置のボード部等に触れない

アダプタを拡張スロットに挿入する際、ブラケットの先端が本体装置の他の部位（他の部品、ボードなど）に触れない

ようにご注意ください。破損するおそれがあります。

巻き込み注意

本製品の動作中は冷却ファンの部分に手や髪の毛を近づけないでください。

手をはさまれたり、髪の毛が巻き込まれたりしてけがをするおそれがあります。

装置前面や内部にほこりが積もった状態で運用しない

定期的に清掃してください。装置前面や内部にほこりが積もった状態で運用を続けると、火災の原因となるおそれがあ

ります。装置内部の清掃が必要な場合は、お買い求めの販売店、または保守サービス会社にご相談ください。

消毒薬が手指に付着した状態で本製品の取り付け・取り外しをしない

オプション製品の取り付け、取り外しは、消毒薬が手指に付着した状態で行わないでください。消毒薬が本機に付着す

ることにより、腐食し、故障および発煙・発火の原因となるおそれがあります。

置のシステム構成ガイドを参照してください。

2. 本製品はデジタルディスプレイ(DisplayPort対応)の接続をサポートしてお

ります。

3. ディスプレイとのコネクタ接続について、運用中の挿抜はサポートしていま

せん。

4. ホットプラグ、スワップ、リムーブはサポートしていません。

5. オンボード VGA との同時表示はサポートしていません。

Mini Display Port (mDP)コネクタ

Mini Display Port(以下 mDP と省略することもあります)に対応したコネ

クタです。本製品では本ポートが 3基あります。変換ケーブルを接続しデ

ィスプレイケーブルを接続します。

ブラケット

本製品ではフルハイトサイズのブラケットのほか、ロープロファイルサイズ

のブラケットを添付しています。本体装置の搭載スロットの形状に応じてブ

ラケットを付替えることができます。

PCI-Express®コネクタ

本製品は PCI-Express®3.0 以降に準拠した、x16 レーン(形状/バス幅い

ずれも)以上のスロットに

搭載可能です。本体装置ごとに異なりますので、本体装置のユーザーズガイ

ドを参照してください。

リテンションフック

ボードを固定するための機構です。マザーボード側にこのフックを固定する

ための機構が備わっているサーバがあります。

本製品の取り付け・取り外し作業については、本製品および本体

装置のユーザーズガイドを参照して作業してください。

高温注意

本体装置の電源を OFF にした直後は、本製品を含め、装置内の部

品が高温になっています。十分に冷えたことを確認してから取り

付け／取り外しを行なってください。

巻き込み注意

本製品の動作中は冷却ファンの部分に手や髪の毛を近づけないで

ください。

手をはさまれたり、髪の毛が巻き込まれたりしてけがをするおそ

れがあります。

本製品のドライバをインストールした後には、本体装置の BIOS

設定を変更する必要があります。

ドライバインストール後にシステムを再起動する際 BIOS 設定

画面で下記の設定を行ってください。(起動中の POST 画面で

<F2>を押下すと BIOS 設定画面に移行します。)

BIOS Menu → Advanced → PCI Configuration

VGA Controller [Disabled]

※本体装置の出荷時設定が[Enabled]となっていることがあ

ります。

なお、オフラインツールで”ERROR! The BMC setting could

not be obtained"と表示される場合は、一時的に[Enabled]

に変更して、確認してください。

本製品にはドライバディスクが添付されておりません。NEC の

サポートサイトからダウンロードしてください。

ドライバのセットアップ方法についてはユーザーズガイドに記

載されています。こちらも NEC のサポートサイトからダウンロ

ードしてください。

本製品はドライバディスクを添付していません。

システムが起動できない場合

本章では各事象に対する確認のため本製品

の取り外し/取り付けを前提とした作業を記

載しています。事前に必ず取扱注意事項を

お読みください。

必要に応じて本製品をお買い求めの販売店

または保守サービス会社に連絡してくださ

い。

ボードの取り付けを確認してください

□搭載スロットは適切か

本体装置のシステム構成ガイド等を参照して、本製品の搭載

可能スロットに搭載されていることを確認してください。異

なる場合は正しいスロットに搭載してください。

□取り付けは正しいか

本体装置のスロットに、ボードがしっかりと差し込まれてい

るか確認してください。また、固定ネジ(またはクリップ)で

ボードがしっかりと固定されていることを確認してくださ

い。該当する場合は、取り付けなおしてください。

□PCI-EXPRESS コネクタなど本体装置側に異常はないか

本体装置の PCI-EXPRESS コネクタを確認し、異物混入や

部品破損がないか確認してください。部品破損等ある場合は

お買い求めの販売店または保守サービス会社に連絡してく

ださい。

□本体装置の BIOS のバージョンは適切か

BIOS のバージョンが適切か確認してください。

最新の BIOS で確認してください。

ボードを確認してください

□ボードが破損していないか

ボードの実装部品が破損していないか確認してください。

破損している場合は本製品をお買い求めの販売店または保

守サービス会社に連絡してください。

□ボード実装部品に異物が入り込んでいないか

ボード上の実装部品に異物が入り込んでいないか確認して

ください。

混入している場合は本製品をお買い求めの販売店または保

守サービス会社に連絡してください。

□ボードのコネクタに異物が付着していないか

ボードの PCI-Express®コネクタに異物が付着していない

か確認してください

付着している場合は取り除いてください。

以上の確認を行っても本体装置起動中にエラーメッセージ

が表示される場合は、一旦本製品を別の PCI-EXPRESS スロ

ットに取り付けた後、本体装置を起動して自己診断プログラ

ム「 POST」の実行で異常がないことを確認してください。POST

が正常に終了しないようでしたら、本体装置が故障している

ことが考えられます。お買い求めの販売店または保守サービ

ス会社にご連絡ください。

運用上の注意事項

外観および各部の名称

本製品を取り付ける前に、本体装置のユーザーズガイドを

参照して、取り付け可能なスロットを確認してください。

アナログディスプレイはサポートしていません

本体装置への取り付けと取り外し

ヒートシンクに無理な力を加えると、ヒートシンクの

下の部品を破損することがあります。故障の原因とな

りますので、おやめください。

画面が表示されない場合

本体装置の電源を入れると本体の電源ランプが点灯するのに全

く画面が出ない

□グラフィックスアクセラレータとディスプレイをつなぐデ

ィスプレイケーブルの接続を確認してください。

□ディスプレイの電源ケーブルがしっかり接続されているか

確認してください。

□ディスプレイの電源スイッチが入っているか確認してくだ

さい。

□ディスプレイの入力が 2系統以上ある場合には、入力切り

替えが正しいか確認してください。

□「本体装置 BIOS の設定」(3 ページ)の項を参照し、再度正

しく PCI-Express スロットに実装しなおしてください。

起動時に Windows 起動画面から切り替わるタイミングで画面

表示されなくなる

□「本体装置 BIOS の設定」(3 ページ)の項を参照し、再度正

しく PCI-Express スロットに実装しなおしてください。

□ディスプレイが設定した解像度に対応していない、もしく

はディスプレイが故障している可能性があります。表示可

能な別のディスプレイと接続してください。

□他に接続可能なコネクタがある場合、接続先を変更してく

ださい。

□ディスプレイの表示可能な解像度、リフレッシュレートか

ら外れている可能性があります。

□グラフィックスアクセラレータを下記の方法で VGA モー

ド起動して、画面のプロパティにて正しく画面が出力され

るように設定を変更してください。

-POST 起動中の[Backup NVRAM Data]100%に

なるタイミングで<F8>キーを押してください。

詳細ブートオプションの画面に入りますので、メニュ

ーにある[低解像度ビデオを有効にする]を選択し、

Windows 起動後に画面のプロパティで表示される

解像度・リフレッシュレートにディスプレイが対応し

ているか確認してください。

対応していない解像度／リフレッシュレートや、対応

-の確認が困難な場合にはより低い解像度／リフレッ

シュレートを設定してから、再起動を行ってください。

□シングルディスプレイで使用時に 2つあるディスプレイ出

力の接続を変更すると、変更前の設定で画面が出力される

ため OS 起動時に他方の出力コネクタに画面が出力される

場合があります。この場合には上記の VGA モードで起動

して、画面のプロパティにて正しく画面が出力されるよう

に設定を変更してください。

そのほかの事象

起動時にブルーバック画面で止まってしまう

□複数のディスプレイドライバをインストールした場合には、

相互の影響でディスプレイドライバが正常に動作しない場

合があります。その場合には上記[VGA モードを有効にす

る]方法での起動後、コントロールパネルから不必要なディ

スプレイドライバを削除して再起動してください。

上の項目を確認したにもかかわらず、問題が解決しない場合は、

本製品に何らかの故障が発生している可能性が考えられます。お

買い求めの販売店または保守サービス会社までお問い合わせく

ださい。

Do not continue to use the equipment if you detect smoke, odor, or noise

If the equipment emits smoke, odor, or noise, immediately unplug the power cord of the server. Then, contact your service

representative. Continuing to use the product in such condition may cause a fire.

Keep water or foreign matter away from the equipment.

Do not let any form of liquid (water etc.) or foreign matter (e.g., pins or paper clips) enter the equipment. Failure to follow this

warning may cause an electric shock, a fire, or a failure of the equipment. When such things accidentally enter the

equipment, immediately turn the power off and unplug the power cord. Then, contact your service representative.

Precautions for Installation, Relocation, Storage and Connection

Do not install / store in any place other than specified

Do not place this product in any place other than the one shown below or specified by the server. It may cause a fire.

Dusty place

A humid place such as by the water heater

Place exposed to direct sunlight

Unstable place

Do not use the equipment in the place where corrosive gases exist.

Make sure not to locate or use the equipment in the place where corrosive gases (sulfur, dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen

dioxide, chlorine, ammonia, ozone, etc.) exist.

Also, do not set it in the environment where the air (or dust) includes components accelerating corrosion (ex. sulfur, sodium

chloride) or conductive metals.

There is a risk of a fire due to corrosion and shorts of an internal printed board.

Contact your service representative for the place appropriate to the equipment.

Do not pull out with the interface cable

When disconnecting the cable, release the lock such as screws and hold the connector and pull it straight out. Holding the

cable by pulling it or applying excessive force to the connector may damage the cable and cause a fire or electric shock.

Do not use any unauthorized interface cable.

Use only interface cables authorized by NEC and locate a proper device and connector before connecting a cable. Using

an authorized cable or connecting a cable to an improper destination may cause a short circuit, resulting in a fire.

Also, observe the following notes on using and connecting an interface cable.

Do not use any damaged cable connector.

Do not step on the cable.

Do not put any object on the cable.

Do not use the card with the loose interface cable connection.

Do not use any damaged cable.

Fix the interface cable securely

When connecting a video cable, conversion connector, etc., be sure to lock the screw securely.

Poor contact may cause smoke or fire.

Precautions for Handling of Internal Devices

Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the product yourself

Do not disassemble, repair, or modify this product. Doing so may cause an electrical shock or a fire. Do not put the product

close to fire, or immerse it in water. Doing so may cause an explosion. If the product does not function normally, contact

your service representative.

Avoid installation in extreme temperature conditions.

Immediately after the server is powered off, its internal components such as heat sink are very hot. Leave the server until

its internal components fully cool down before installing/removing any component.

Ground yourself to dissipate any static charge before handling the adapter.

To prevent any damage on components due to static electricity, make sure to discharge static electricity from yourself before

you touch N8105-61 adapter.

Don’t touch uncoated metal parts on adapter.

Never touch N8105-61 adapter’s mDP terminals of components or uncoated metal parts on adapter. Otherwise, taint,

erosion or others may cause loose connection. Do not touch this product with wet or dirty hands.

Excessive force could break the connector.

On installing this adapter, do not insert it by force. Otherwise, N8105-61 adapter and the server may be damaged.

Don’t touch the tip of bracket to other parts of server

When you insert N8105-61 adapter into expansion slot, be careful not to touch the tip of bracket to other parts of server

(such as other components or board). Otherwise, they may be damaged.

Stay away from the fan.

Keep your hand or hair away from the cooling fan on the adapter.

Failure to follow this warning may get your hand or hair caught in the fan, resulting in injury.

Don’t operate with dust on the front or inside of the device

Clean it regularly.

Continued operation with dust on the front or inside of the device may cause a fire. If you need to clean the inside of the

device, contact the store where you purchased the product or a maintenance service company.

Don’t attach or remove this product with the disinfectant attached to your fingers.

Don’t install or remove optional products with the disinfectant on your fingers. If the disinfectant adheres to the machine, it

may corrode and cause malfunction, smoke or fire.

has three mDP connectors.

Bracket

The bracket of two sizes is included with this product. A

bracket can be exchanged according to the form of a PCI-

Express® slot of the server.

PCI-Express® Connector

This product can be attached to the slot x16 lane or higher

(PCI-Express® Gen.3) .Refer to User’s Guide of the Server

Retention hook

It is a mechanism to fix the board. There is a server on the

motherboard side that has a mechanism to fix this hook.

For hardware installation/uninstallation, refer to the User’s Guide

of the server.

After installing the driver for this product, it is necessary to change

the BIOS settings of the server.

When rebooting the system after installing the driver, make the

following settings on the BIOS setting screen. (Pressing <F2> on

the POST screen during startup will take you to the BIOS

configuration screen.)

The factory default setting of the server may be [Enabled].

If the offline tool displays "ERROR! The BMC setting could not be

obtained", temporarily change it to [Enabled] and check.

Check the board installation

□Is the loading slot appropriate?

Refer to the system configuration guide of the server, etc.,

and confirm that it is installed in the installable slot of this

product. If different, please install in the correct slot.

□Is the installation correct?

Make sure that the board is firmly inserted into the slot of the

server. Also make sure that the board is firmly fixed with the

fixing screws (or clips).

If applicable, reinstall it.

□Is there any problem with the server such as PCI-

Express® connector?

Check the PCI-Express® connector of the server, and check

for foreign matter contamination or component damage.

If any parts are damaged, please contact to reseller, sales

agents or service representative.

□Is the BIOS version of the server appropriate?

Make sure that the BIOS version is correct.

Check with the latest BIOS.

Check the board

□Is the board not damaged

Make sure that the mounted components on the board are

not damaged.

If it is damaged, please contact to reseller, sales agents or

service representative.

□Is foreign matter in the board mounting parts?

Check if foreign matter has entered the mounted

components on the board.

If it is mixed, please contact to reseller, sales agents or

service representative.

□Is there any foreign matter on the board connector?

Make sure that there is no foreign matter on the board's PCI-

Express® connector

Please remove if it adheres.

If an error message is displayed during startup of the main unit

even after the above confirmation, once the product is installed in

another PCI-EXPRESS slot, then start the main unit and execute

the self-diagnostic program "POST" Check that there is no

abnormality in. If POST does not end normally, the main unit may

be defective. Please contact to reseller, sales agents or service

representative.

If the screen is not displayed

When the server's power is turned on, the server's power

lamp lights but no screen appears

□Check the connection of the display cable connecting the

graphics accelerator and the display.

□Make sure the display's power cable is securely connected.

□Make sure that the power switch on the display is turned on.

□If there are two or more inputs on the display, check that the

input switching is correct.

□Refer to the "Hardware Installation / Uninstallation" and

reinstall it in the PCI-Express slot correctly.

Screen will not be displayed at the time of switching from the

Windows startup screen at startup

□Refer to the "Hardware Installation / Uninstallation" and

reinstall it in the PCI-Express slot correctly.

□Power cycle the display.

□The display may not correspond to the set resolution, or the

display may be broken. Connect with another display that

can be displayed.

□If there is another connectable connector, change the

connection destination.

□The display's viewable resolution may be outside the refresh

rate.

□Start the graphics accelerator in the VGA mode by the

following method, and change the settings so that the screen

is correctly output in the screen properties.

-Press the <F8> key when [Backup NVRAM Data]

reaches 100% during POST startup to enter the

advanced boot option screen. Enable low resolution

video in the menu and check that the display supports

the resolution and refresh rate displayed in the screen

properties after Windows starts.

Please set the resolution / refresh rate which is not

compatible or lower resolution / refresh rate if it is

difficult to check the correspondence, and then restart.

□If you change the connection of two display outputs when

using a single display, the screen may be output to the other

output connector when the OS is started because the screen

is output with the settings before the change. In this case,

start up in the above VGA mode, and change the settings so

that the screen is correctly output in the screen properties.
