angle
of
view
is
equivalent to a
35
mm format
lens
with afocal length about
2.7
x
longer.

•Do not disassemble. Touching the internal parts

In
the event
of
malfunction, the
product should
be
repaired only
by
aqualified technician. Should
the product
break
open
as

fall

camera
battery and/or disconnect the
AC
adapter
and
then take the product to a Nikon-authorized
service
center
for inspection.
•Turn the camera off immediately in the event

Note: Be careful not to press the retractable lens ba rr el button while
attaching or removing the
lens.
Retractable Lens Mechanism
To unlock the zoom ring and extend the lens for use, press the re-
tractable
lens barrel button ( Figure 2-0) and ro tate the zoom ring
in the direction shown in Figure 2-8. The lens can be retracted and
th ezoom ring locked by pressing the retractable lens barrel button
and rotating the zoom ring
in the opposite directio n.
Zoom
Use the zoom ring tozoom in and out. Photographs can be taken only
w
hen the focal length scale isbetween 11 and 27.5 mm (Figure 3).

Attach the hood as shown in Figure 4.
Vignetting may occur if the hood is not correctly attac h ed.

Lens. Failure
to register your ESC within such ten day period
invalidates your ESC. To register online:

This ESC becomes valid upon the expiration of the Nikon Inc. Lens One Year USA Limited Warranty that was included with your NIKKOR lens and
provides
the coverage specified below for a period of four additional years for a total of 5 years of protection.
During the period of your ESC, repairs resulting from defects in materials or workmanship will be performed at no-charge by Nikon Inc. subject to the following:
1. ESC applies to the original consumer purchaser only and is not transferable or assignable.
2. ESC does not cover repairs resulting from or due to misuse, abuse, negligence, alteration or accident or to any product that has had its serial number
altered or removed.
3. ESC does not cover repai,s resulting directly or indirectly from the use of unauthorized replacement parts, accessories and/or service performed by
unauthorized personnel.
4. Coverage dates will
be determined by the date indicated on your bill of sale.
5. ESC is valid only in the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

NIKKOR lenses sold by other Nikon distributors throughout the world are not eligible.
Under no circumstances shall Nikon Inc. be liable for any consequential, incidental, special, indirect, direct, exemplary or punitive
damages relating to or arising out of the breach of this ESC or any claim regarding the NIKKOR lens, including but not limited to,
claims of negligence, strict liability or breach of contract.
