MyMail™ gives you anywhere real-time access to your existing corporate email, Internet (POP3, SPOP
and IMAP) email, and Microsoft®Outlook®or IBM®Lotus® Notes calendars and contacts. There are two
convenient ways of using MyMail:
•From your Nokia 6620
•From anyPC connected to the Internet
MyMail now comes with Visto ContantSync™ technology that automatically delivers email to your device. You
do not need to do anything to get your messages, the ConstantSync™technologywill deliver them instantly.

Activate your MyMail account by following the procedure below. Ensure that you have access to the
Internet from your mobile device. Details for setting the Internet connection can be obtained from your
mobile service provider.
NOTE: MyMail Enterprise Server users will receive an invitation email containing a URL and the
credentials necessary to log in to the MyMail service from a PC web browser.
NOTE: You may need to set a GPRS Access Point Name (APN) on the device if you do not already have one
set for Internet access. If this is the case, a dialog box will prompt for the APN.
1. Navigate to http://www.mymail.rogers.com/ota on your Nokia 6620’s web browser. Follow the instructions to
download the MyMail software to your device.
2. After installation, read the terms and conditions of the license agreement.
3. Select OK.

4. Enter your Mobile number, Password, and select the correct APN.
5. Select Done.

6. You can choose to remove all existing contacts and calendar entries from your device prior to activation.
Resetting contacts and calendar entries on the device prevents duplicate corporate contacts and calendar
entries from being stored on the device upon synchronization.If you already have personal contacts and
calendar events stored on the device that are not in your corporate (Outlook/Notes) data store, it is
recommended that you back them up before initiating a reset.

7. The status of your service is available at anytime. From the application menu, select MyMail.

8. The Status screen displays the following information (Figure 5):
•The network connection status
•The date and time of the most recent network activity

NOTE: You may see a Services feature displayed on the Status page. This feature has been turned off
and will be removed from a later release.

9. The right and left arrow keys switch between the Status and Account tabs. Optionally, you can set the
number of emails stored on the device by selecting the Account tab. When you set an inbox limit, and the
number of emails goes beyond the limit, the oldest emails will be automatically removed from the device to
accommodate the new emails. The minimum limit is 10 and the unlimited option gives you the choice of
utilizing all available memoryon the device. You are now ready to start using MyMail.

Ensure that you have access to the Internet from your mobile device. This section describes managing
email, calendar and contacts data on a Nokia 6620.
NOTE: If you wish to access your corporate email account and your corporate Microsoft Outlook® or Lotus®
Notes data, you will need to download and configure the MyMail Desktop Assistant. For Notes users, contact
synchronization is supported through the user’s Desktop Assistant, but not a delegated Desktop Assistant. For
further information on the MyMail Desktop Assistant, see the online help accessible through the MyMail PC web
site.

Once MyMail is activated on your device, you can view and send email. By default, messages are sorted
by date, with the most recent message listed first.
NOTE: Messages from your Outlook/Notes inboxes are sent to the device. Mail from subfolders and filters you
may have created will not be sent tothe device.
1. Select Messaging from the menu.
2. Select MyMail Email from the messaging screen.

3. Your MyMail inbox will display(Figure 8).
4. To viewa message, select a message from the inbox.

6. Select Options to display the following options (Figure 10):
•Retrieve downloads the entire message if it was truncated due to length
•Release clears a message from the device only
•Reply replies to the sender of the message. You can also select to reply to the sender and all
recipients of the message byselecting Reply All.
•Forward sends the message to new recipients. If the message contains attachments, they will be
automaticallyforwarded to the recipients.
•Delete removes the specific message from either the device only or the device and the server
•Home returns to the first screen of the message

•End jumps to the final screen of the message
•Attachments to view attachment information
•Message details displays the header information of the email
•Add to contacts adds an email address contained in the header information to your contacts list
•Exit returns the user to the device main menu

To compose a new email:
1. From the MyMail inbox, select Options.
2. Select Create message.
3. Select MyMail Mail.

4. You can insert a recipient into the To: and Cc: fields manually, or as described in Section 2.3.1, “Using the
Contacts List to Add Email Recipients.”

5. Enter a subject and body.
6. When finished, select Options.
7. Select Send. The email is sent immediately if the connection is active. Otherwise it is sent to the Outbox
folder and sent upon re-connection.

To view attachment information:
1. Messages containing attachments are indicated by a paperclip icon as shown in Figure 8. Open the
message that contains the attachment.

2. Select Options, then select Attachments.
3. Select Options, then select Retrieve to view the attachments. If the associated application is installed on
the device, the attachment willdisplay.

Once MyMail is activated on your device, you can view and create calendar entries (Figure 14).
1. Select the Calendar icon from the Organiser menu.
2. The month view displays.
NOTE: If you scroll through the days on the month view, a brief pop-up window will display with each day’s
appointments listed.
3. To viewan appointment, select a day.

4. The appointments for the day are listed. Select an appointment to view details.
NOTE: Use the up/down arrow keys to view more details. You may edit the appointment by selecting
Options.

5. Select Options on the toolbar to displaythe following options:
•Delete removes the appointmentfrom the calendar
•Send provides the option to send a copy of the appointment via text message, multimedia, or Bluetooth
to another device or PC
•Help provides tips on how to create or edit calendar events, how to set reminders, and how to set
recurring appointments
•Exit returns the user to the Organiser menu

Once MyMail is activated on your device, you can view and create contacts.
1. Select Contacts from the menu.
2. The default view displays all contacts.
3. To view a contact’s details or edit a contact, select the name of the contact.

5. Select Options to viewthe following options (Figure 19):
•Call provides the option to place a voice or video call to the contact
•Create message allows a text or multimedia message to be sent to the contact
•Edit opens the contact details for editing

•Delete removes the contact from the contacts list
•Defaults sets default information for the contact, such as a primaryphone number
•Ringing tone associates a specific ring tone to this contact
•Send allows the contact information to be sent via email
•Help provides detailed information on using contact information, such as viewing contacts, sending a
message to a contact, setting default contact information, adding a voice tag to a contact, and
assigning aspeed dial to acontact
•Exit returns the user to the main menu

You can insert contacts directly from the contacts list into a new email with the Add recipient feature.
1. While composing a new email, select Options (Figure 20).

2. Select Add recipient.

MyMail version information and a list of patents is available on the About screen.
To view the About screen:
1. Select MyMail from the main menu. On the Status screen, select Options.
2. Select About. The version information displays.
3. Select Patents to view patent information.

NOTE: Performing a master reset on the device will revert the device to original factory settings. The
MyMail application and all email, calendar events, and contacts will be removed. The installation and
activation process must be repeated if a device master reset is performed.

Email messages, calendar appointments, and contact information on your device are immediately
updated within your Mobile Data Network coverage area. Data are stored on your device and made
available even when a network connection is unavailable, and updates are sent to the server when the
next time the device is connected to the network. Additional MyMail features are listed below, and are
available depending upon your carrier’s provisioning.
Email Access and Management
•Access one corporate and up to 10 Internet (POP3, SPOP,
and Hotmail) mailboxes

•Constant Sync™technology enables the latest information
to be pushed to the mobile device
•MyMail’s client on the mobile device is securely notified of
the new email and the device initiates a synchronization

•Receive alerts on received email

Problem Solutions
The email address you have entered has not been
recognized. Retry entering the email address. If the message
persists, the user may not have the right type of
email account or is using an unknown ISP.
The password you have entered is incorrect or
does not match the email address. Retry entering the password.
The mobile number you have entered has not
been recognized. Retry entering the number. If the problem persists,
the number may not be set up for the service.
Unable to establish connection to MyMail server
(or the Internet). Check settings and try again.
Body text could not be retrieved. There is
insufficient free space on your device. Free some memory on the device and retry.
Unknown file format. The attachment type is not recognized by the
device. If possible, download the appropriate
application to the device for the file type.
The message no longer exists on the server. An attempt is made to perform an operation on an
email that no longer exists. The message cannot
be retrieved.
Your account has been disabled. Contact your
administrator. A connection is made, but the account was
disabled by the system administrator. Contact the
administrator to enable the account.
Invalid request. Try again. If the problem persists, contact your
system administrator.
Account locked. Contact your system administrator.
Service not available. You may be out of range. If the problem persists
while in range, contact your system administrator.
Account suspended. The service period or trial period may have
expired, or there may be payment due. Contact
your system administrator.
Upgrade required. Upgrade the device client. If the problem persists,
contact your system administrator.
Account data has been erased. Contact your system administrator.
Payment required. Contact your system administrator.
NOTE: If you are unable to send or receive email from the device, verify your PC is turned on, and your
Desktop Assistant is connected to the server.
