Take and send photos and video clips
>Twist the mobile’s screen right.
>To switch between camera and video camera, press
once
>Press left or right to pan and zoom
>Press to take a photo or to start video recording
and press Stop (right ‘soft key’).
>Select to send photo or video and follow menu.
You can control light, brightness, quality, flash and
duration. In Image or Video mode select up or
down in portrait mode.
Add a photo to your contact
You can associate a photo with a contact stored
on the mobile.
>Highlight the contact > Options > Edit > Options
> Add thumbnail > select your preferred image
> Done
Play a music track(s)
>Press for 3 seconds > Options > Music Library
> All tracks select your preferred track.
Multimedia centre
From you can...
Make calls
>Enter the number.
>Press for voice calls.
>Press for video calls.
>Press to end a call.
Receive calls
>Answer a call press
>Press to end a call.
>During a video call, you’ll see a large picture of the
other person and a small picture of how you look to
them in the top left of the screen.
>Stop the other person from seeing you: select
Options (left ‘soft key’) and at Disable press
and at Sending video press .
Set up voicemail and videomail
>Set up voice mail: press and hold .
Follow the voice prompts to choose a PIN and
record your greeting.
>Set up videomail: enter 123 and press .
Follow the voice prompts to record your video
greeting. The caller will see your video greeting
when you can’t answer a video call.

Text, multimedia and email messagesSet up your email
Set up your username
To set up your 3mail you need to have set up a
voicemail PIN first.
>Press and select .
Scroll to Mail and press .
>Scroll to Enter username and press for
the text prompt. Key in your preferred username
(eg johnsmith), scroll down to Done and press .
Then press .
>If this name has already been taken you will be
asked to choose again. Once your username has
been accepted your email address will be displayed
(eg [email protected]).
Set up your profile
>Message. > 3Mail > Options > E-mail settings
> Mailbox settings
>Scroll to User name and key in your mobile
number starting with 447xxxxxxxxx but without
plus (+). Scroll down to Password and key in the
4-digit PIN you selected for voicemail. Scroll down
to My e-mail address and key in your email
You’re now ready to send and receive emails from
your 3mail account.
Collect emails from other accounts
To collect emails from other accounts you need to set
up your POP3 email account.
>Press and select .
Scroll to Mail and press . Scroll to
and press . Scroll to Settings and press .
Scroll to Manage other mail and press . At Add
new account and press .
>Scroll to Name this account, click or the text
prompt and enter a name for the account. Then do
the same in turn for POP3 server address, POP3
Username, and POP3 user password and select
Done and press .
You can check these details with your email/internet
service provider.
You’re now ready to collect emails from another
email account.

>To switch between lower case, upper case

>To enter numbers, press the specific key for
3 seconds
>Press .Select New message and select
text, multimedia message or email.
Send a text or multimedia message
>Send a text: enter phone number next to To. Scroll to
message box and write the message. Press to
send the message.
>Send a multimedia message to a mobile or email
address: enter phone number or email address next
to To. Select Options (left ‘soft key’) and select
Insert object. Select Image or Sound clip or
Video clip and select a file. Press to send the
message.
Send and receive emails
>To send an email you first need to set up email on
your phone – see page 8.
>Enter email address next to To. Scroll to message
box and press write the message. Press to send
the message.
To retrieve and reply an email
>To retrieve an email: >Press . > 3Mail
> Options > Retrieve e-mail > New or
All receive.
>To reply to an email: scroll to the email and press
> Options > Reply.
Browse into mail
>press and select .
Scroll to Mail and press .
From the browser you can send emails and view
and manage emails, voicemails, faxmails and
contacts.

You’ll need: Windows 2000 Professional or
XP Home or Professional; 250MB of hard disk space;
a USB port and CD-ROM drive.
Install Nokia PC Suite file transfer software
>Load the Nokia PC Suite CD that came with your
mobile. The installation should begin automatically,
otherwise select on your PC. Select Run and
type D/E: Nokia_N9.exe. Follow the Wizard to
install.
>At Nokia N93 screen click Install software and
then click Nokia PC Suite and follow the Wizard
to install.
Connect your mobile and PC
>At the Welcome to Get Connected wizard
screen, click Next and follow the Wizard to install.
Select the connection type between your mobile
and PC (Bluetooth, Infrared or USB cable).
>Select Cable connection and click Next.
>Connect your mobile and PC using the USB cable.
>On your Nokia N93, select PC Suite. Nokia N93
drivers it will automatically install on your PC.
>Click Finish.
Select PC Application to synchronise
>Select Synchronise.
>Select Settings.
>Select the PC application eg Microsoft Outlook
to synchronise with your mobile. Click Next.
>Select which items you want to synchronise
eg Calendar or Contact items. Then click Next
and follow the instructions.
>Synchronisation will automatically start.
Transfer files between your mobile and PC
Click Nokia PC Suite to install
the transfer software.
Share video clips – See Me TV
See Me TV is a new channel on 3where you’re the star.
Simply record a clip and submit it. We’ll publish it if we
can and if someone pays to watch it, you’ll even be paid.
>Take a video, then send it to 32323
Watch See Me TV
>Press and select .
>Scroll to SeeMeTV and press .
>Scroll to your preferred topic and then
select the clip.
Share your pictures and video clips with friends
3’s My Gallery allows you to store and share your
pictures and videos clips instantly.
>Take a photo or video, then send it to 3333.
>You’ll receive a text message with your password to
access My Gallery on three.co.uk/mygallery.
>Visit three.co.uk/mygallery.
>Enter your 3mobile number and the
password you received.
You can invite friends to visit your gallery as well as
change your password from three.co.uk/mygallery.

for details.

You must get permission from anyone in your
video before you send it. By sending
a video you agree to See Me TV’s other rules
(see three.co.uk/seemetv for full terms and
conditions, and info on how you will be paid).
It costs 50p to send a video to 32323.

Synchronise Contacts and calendar
>Connect your mobile and PC using the USB cable.
>On your Nokia N93, select PC Suite.
>Select OK.
>Right click on Nokia PC Suite at the bottom
right corner of your PC. Then select
Synchronise and select Synchronise Now to
synchronise contacts and calendar between your
mobile and PC.
Transfer images, music and videos
>Connect your mobile and PC using the USB cable.
>On your Nokia N93, select Data transfer
>Select OK.
>Right click on Nokia PC Suite at the bottom
right corner of your PC and then select File
manager to synchronise contacts and calendar
between your mobile and PC.
>Then drag and drop relevant picture, audio, video
between your mobile and PC.
In some cases you’ll need to convert files, for
example, to view a video on your PC in Windows
Media Player that you captured on your mobile, or
to listen to an audio file that you transferred to your
mobile. You’ll find a number of converters to
download in the Customer section of three.co.uk.
Please note that transferring copyright-protected
content, eg music and football videos, without the
copyright owner’s consent is against the law and it
breaks your agreement with 3.

Manage your account and learn about 3 services
direct from your mobile
>Press and select ..
Scroll to My3 and press . Through My3 you
can keep track of your bill and and see how many
minutes and messages you have left, whether Pay
Monthly or Pay As You Go. You can also learn more
about 3’s services through a selection of videos and
tasters. All My 3 services are free.

Get the most from your battery
>You can recharge your battery several hundred
times before it will need replacing and you don’t
need to fully discharge it before recharging.
>Don’t expose the battery charger to direct sunlight
or use in areas of high humidity such as a bathroom.
Battery life will decrease if you expose it to
temperatures below -10°C or above 45°C.
>If you charge your battery regularly and you notice
a decrease in talk time or an increase in charging
time, then it’s probably time to buy a new battery.
