Carefully unpack the unit. Remove the three
mounting bracket retaining screws (Fig.5) and
unhook the bracket retaining tabs from the slots
in the rear of the heater.
Mount the bracket direct to a suitable wall or
bearer with appropriate fixings, (see Fig.1 in
section two for mounting centres). Refit the
heater to the bracket ensuring the tabs are
located correctly. Refit the three retaining
screws.
Electrical connections
These heaters are suitable for connection to a
230/240v 50Hz 1ph AC supply (SA models) or
a 380/415v 50Hz 3ph AC supply (SE models).

Caution
Do not install the unit under the following
conditions:
a) Do not operate at temperatures above 50º
C or below –10º C.
b) Do not install in a steamy atmosphere.
c) Do not install in a smoky or gaseous
atmosphere.
d) Do not install in a corrosive atmosphere.
e) Do not install where there are water
sprays or drips.
Ensure remote control batteries are fitted the
correct way round as shown in fig.6.
Operation
The units can either be operated from the
remote control unit, or from the front panel
buttons as follows:
SA units (ambient)
a) Remote control operation: (within 6M of unit)
To turn the unit on, press the ON/OFF button
once. This will start the fan in high speed. To
change the fan to low speed, press the SPEED
button once. To return to high speed press the
SPEED button once more. To turn the unit off
press the ON/OFF button once more.
b) Front panel operation:
To turn the unit on, press the FRONT PANEL
BUTTON once. This will start the fan in high
speed. To change the fan to low speed, press
the FRONT PANEL BUTTON again. To turn the
unit off press the FRONT PANEL BUTTON
again.
SE units (electrically heated)
a) Remote control operation: (within 6M of unit)
To turn the unit on press the ON/OFF button
once to blow ambient air. To blow warm air press
the WARM button once. To turn the unit off press
the ON/OFF button once more. If the unit is
turned off whilst in ‘warm’ mode, the fan will run
on for 3 minutes to allow the elements to cool. If
the unit is turned off whilst in ‘ambient’ mode, the
fan will stop immediately.
b) Front panel operation: Press the WARM/
NORMAL/OFF button to select the desired
operation. If the unit is turned off whilst in ‘warm’
mode, the fan will run on for 3 minutes to allow
the elements to cool.
Protection
The SE units are protected in the event of fan
failure, or an obstruction of the free air flow, by
two thermal cut outs, one for each element unit.
Having tripped the cut outs remain open,
effectively switching off the heating elements,
providing mains power is available.
For connection to the mains supply the flying lead
must be connected to a suitable fused 2 pole
isolator (SA models), or 4 pole isolator (SE
models), with a contact separation of at least
3mm.
For safety reasons, a sound earth connection
must always be made to the unit before it is put to
use. The unit should be wired in accordance with
the current edition of the IEE Regulations.
